So I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about but maybe this is old, the restaurant is actually called«Papas Roast Beef» now I’m not sure how long ago it changed but I must say I moved here about 7 months ago and fell in love with this place. Their pizza is not greasy at all the crust is cooked perfectly, crunchy yet soft and they have the best buffalo wings I’ve had in a long time which I have also heard from the owner that they make their own buffalo sauce. I highly recommend this place to someone just looking for a local pizza place, I havent tried their roast beef but I was never a fan of roast beef so my review would be biased. But on everything else I give this place 4 stars because its a pizza place, its good and its affordable definitely a place to grab a quick bite or food for the game.

Please note that this business has changed its name to «Papa’s Roast Beef and Pizza». When it was Gypsy Girl Café, it was fine. Bland, but palatable. And then these guys moved in. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Every time we have tried to order food from these people, they have made it into an ordeal. Their computer never works so they cannot take down your credit card info, keep track of your order, or even access your address in the database. Their food is wretched(their much touted Roast Beef is dry and flavorless. The BBQ sauce is inedible), their customer service even more so, I have found them to alternate between surly to the point of rudeness and wildly incompetent. Save your money and order from the other two dozen sub shops in Quincy that do it better, faster, and cheaper. They are a disgrace.

I really don’t like this place. Everything I’ve seen them make here was prepackaged, frozen, microwaved, fried, and stuffed into styrofoam for your takeout pleasure. I think this is owned by the same guy that owns(or owned) Uncle Jeff’s on Washington St. I went to this place the other night because it was close, and I was really disappointed. We got fish & chips, and a chicken cutlet sandwich. Both were basically indistinguishable from each other except the fish had that«bad fish» smell. They were both hard as a rock, and no flavor at all. The only thing I can say about this place that won’t hurt their feelings are that their fries are good. Sorry guys, the food is just terrible. This is what gives Quincy food joints a bad rep.

Apparently the other two have no idea when it comes to food. One bad experience and you give it 1 star. Quit eating frozen stoner food and try what their good at. This place has good pizza with a sweet yet tangy sauce. Giant menu and tons of choices. Cheap prices and FREE delivery also. A combo of Greek food and classics give you an experience to keep you coming back. They don’t have much of a lounge, but you can get a pizza at 10 pm.

F-. They totally suck. I would not eat here again if they gave the«food» away free. Most of what I got came out of a can(the aluminum flavored olives for example) or they buy it frozen(«eggrolls» aka 7 – 11’esque taquitos anyone?”), toss it in a deep fryer for a couple of minutes and call it a day. THE laziest sham of a «restaurant» EVER. Do not give them a penny. You will be beyond pissed if you do.

is a thing of pure beauty. But, after living in Quincy for almost a year now, I’ve been denied the ability to use it in the area when I’m feeling extra lazy working from home or watching the game. It’s a good and bad thing. Forces me to cook more but doesn’t nurture my instant need for average comfort food. Speaking of… Once the Quincy area pizza type joint Café Gypsy Girl was added to the Foodler age, I had to give it a shot. The menu looks really extensive but I have(due to reading some other reviews) stuck with the basic ballgame fare(Stromboli, chicken tenders, cheese sticks, fries). The delivery is quick(usually 10+ minutes under the estimated time given in the confirmation email from Foodler) and the drivers are warm and friendly for the most part. The food is… eh. It’s not ALL horrible, but out of the 4 or 5 items I’ve tried there’s only one I’d consider getting again. The steak and cheese Stromboli is actually quite good. The crust is flaky and crispy, the steak and cheese are warm and have a good balance and it’s nice twist on getting a sub with the same ingredients. I’ve tried the buffalo chicken style too but that had way too much blue cheese and was soggy compared to the previous attempt. The fries, by the time they get to you, aren’t even slightly crispy. It seriously seems like they’ve been nuked and thrown in a box to keep warm. I usually mash them up and use them to stuff plastic turkeys for Thanksgiving day parades. What? Anyway, the other items I’ve had have been more of the same. Cheese sticks, not bad. Not great. The honey BBQ tenders might have been the worst of the bunch. Store bought chicken tenders with BBQ sauce poured on them… after they’ve been placed in the takeout container… yup…they didn’t even know or care how to toss them in the sauce. No excuse for that. So what seems to be the issue here? A pizza joint with a better, extensive menu that’s lazy in regards to the preparation of the easiest items on said menu. Not really worth the time unless you want to give one or two items a try. And those items are ones you could probably find better prepared somewhere else. So Foodler, please add more options to the Quincy area for delivery. After a beer or two there’s no stopping me eating mediocre food from the comfort of my own couch.
