This place is not worth going back to One small piece of haddock and one small piece that was sort of just deflated thin cartilage that was fried. I can not even they included it in the order. It was Disguisting! The fries were like partially warmed strips of rubber. My GF had a cheeseburger club that was no biggy And all dried out. Would not go back.

Great food, great people, nice clean place and a good fun environment to be in. I personally recommend the wing ding dinner, by far the best wing dings around. Also is one of the few places in Quincy with there own large parking lot. I recommend this bar to anyone looking for exceptional service and amazing food.

What a great local bar. Perfect spot to meet up with some buddies, watch a game and grab a few beers. The food is great too, huge portions and incredibly reasonable. The steak tips are the best in the city.

Had a great experience here today — on St. Patty’s Day, no less! Was in the area having my car looked at and decided to call around and see who was serving up corned beef and cabbage for lunch. I had pulled into their parking lot to make my calls — first to Grumpy Whites(no CB&C this year — not sure why, when they sold out early last year). Next I called Fat Cat — yup, $ 16. Then I called The Fours — yes, $ 12. Then I looked up and saw the green shamrock on the sign in front of me, so I went in and tried my luck. Sure enough! I couldn’t have asked for a more Irish experience this side of Southie! I walked in to find nary an empty seat around the large square bar — mind you, it was 12:08pm! The clientele ranged from 20s to 70s and everyone seemed to be having a good time. My friend and I took a round table near the bar and within minutes the bartender came over to take our orders. He is Irish ;) and quite attractive, in a Mr. Clean meets Harley Davidson meets Irish lumberjack type of way(swoon!) Now this guy was SUPER busy — making sure 30 peoples’ drinks were filled AND waiting tables — but he was GREAT. We didn’t have to wait for him any amount of time, he was thoughtful, friendly and polite, all while looking like a tough guy. I was impressed. And a little turned on. But I digress… I was also impressed by the food. Granted, it may be hard to screw up a boiled dinner, but it’s possible! Ours was delicious(see pic I posted.) I would definitely be back. Great neighborhood-type bar with warm people and good food. Must be my Luck O’ the Irish today!(Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

My husband and I got to Goal Post often. The bartender that usually waits on us is always friendly and a hard worker. The menu is a typical bar menu, but it is perfect if that is what you are looking for. The cook is flexible… you get your meal cooked they way you ask for it. My husband loves the steak tips. We usually get the same food and the bartender remembers what we order from visit to visit. The beer is inexpensive and the atmosphere is just right.

Ok so I’ve driven past this place for years and never gave it a second thought. My buddies wanted to go here for lunch recently and I tagged along. I’m so glad I did. The place is unassuming and small. The TVs are tuned to the games and the food is awesome! The steak tips are fantastic as is the Buffalo chicken. There are daily specials as well. If you want good pub grub check out the goal post. You can’t go wrong. This has become my go to place for Buffalo chicken in Quincy.

Definitely a no frills bar. They’ve got the game on, Keno and lottery tickets, and a small menu(not really much for the vegetarians, but my boyfriend seemed happy with his burger). The bartender was nice, the beer was cold and inexpensive, and the food was pretty good — I just had curry fries(yum) and some well-done but tasty onion rings(you know when you bite into them and sometimes the whole onion comes out? that is not a problem here, which was nice). White vinegar on the bar, just like I like it. I’ll be back for more fries and cheap Bud, I’m sure.

Goal Post is a perfect neighborhood bar. Affordable food and drink. Entertaining and friendly staff and clientele. Great place to meet up with friends to take in a game or just sit around and shoot the breeze. Not too loud. Not super crowded. If you dont like the specials on the white board, ask for a menu. Cant go wrong with the wingdings.
