Description

History

Established in 1999.

The Quincy Animal Shelter (QAS) is a volunteer run organization. We are a nonprofit organization designated under section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are recognized as a Massachusetts charity. As a no-kill shelter, we make every effort to find appropriate placement for each animal in our care. Since 1999, we have placed more than 7,500 cats and dogs into loving and forever homes throughout MA and New England.

Before adoption, all animals are checked by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations. They have also been tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) if cats and Lyme Disease, Heartworm, and other tick related diseases if dogs.
