Sugar Sugar Custom Cakes

This is my first season as an employee here at Sugar Sugar Custom Cakes. Wow! It is the most amazing experience I have ever had in a workplace thus far.
The bakery is the sweetest looking bakery I have ever walked into. The hints of nautical shells, and colors immediately brightens your day. All of their products are nothing like you would find in your average bakery. So many unique, and delicious, cookies, pies, pastries, and cakes. This is a bakery that will really open your mind to new and exciting flavors!
The custom cakes that are made here are absolutely to die for! It’s amazing how they’re able to turn a small thought the client has, into a dream.
Both Susan and Ilona are two of the most wonderful women I have ever met. I am so thankful to be able to learn from them each day I’m there. I will be a certified Pastry Chef soon, and being able to learn from both of them has furthered my education immensely.
I have said this many times; I have never had the honor of wanting to go to work before, until now. I am truely blessed.

I absolutely ADORED the cake that Ilona & Susan created for me… it was one of my favorite parts of my wedding details. Not only was it as-​cute-​as-​can-​be… it was DELISH!!! Everyone loved it. Not only are their cakes beautiful & delicious but they are a pleasure to work with and very SWEET gals. Apropos for their line of work, don’t you think?! I am so glad that I found Sugar Sugar Custom Cakes to help me with my bid day and I highly recommend them!

Oh, my goodness… I couldn’t wait to get here and leave a glowing review for this bakery, and I see that sour review from yesterday?! They definitely weren’t at MY wedding, because almost every guest raved to me about the delicious cake and three days later I am still getting emails about how amazing the cakes tasted AND looked.
I had the most overwhelmingly positive experience with Sugar Sugar. I came to Ilona and Susan with only a month to go before the big day (nothing like leaving it until the last minute) and they not only agreed to make the cake but were relaxed about it.
1. They set up a tasting for my fiancé and me to try all of the different varieties, talked through our preferences and explained how they could put them together. We both love Red Velvet and after one bite knew we had to have it. But the surprise was the lemon chiffon, as it was the most incredible cake I’ve ever tasted and I am NOT a lemon person– do yourself a favor and try it!
2. They reviewed my Pinterest link of a cake I admired and actually managed to make something MORE beautiful. They are experts in intricate sugar designs and whereas my inspiration cake had actual flowers and ribbon on it, they made flowers and ribbon out of sugar that were absolutely exquisite.
3. They worked with me on a secret idea for a groom’s cake– they took my vague thought and absolutely blew my mind with the most dynamite cake that was even better than I ever could have imagined. I can’t overstate the creativity and painstaking attention to detail!
4. Rather than forcing you to chop off the top layer of your cake and find a place to store it, Sugar Sugar makes you a special small anniversary cake that fits neatly in your freezer for no extra charge! This to me was so thoughtful.
The morning after my wedding, they were the first vendor I called to thank them for exceeding my expectations in every way possible. Ilona and Susan were so easy to work with: responsive, proactive, kind and creative– I am so glad I chose them to make my wedding cakes and I promise if you do too, you won’t be disappointed!

The worst cake we have ever had!!! Stale, stale stale! Cakes are not fresh and they cost a fortune!!! A local bakery is 10 times better!
