History

Established in 2013.

A home built in 1950 by one of Raceland’s early physicians, Dr. Phillip Robichaux, has been renovated as Chez Felicite’. The home has been a traditional gathering place for family and locals for over 60 years. This 14 room property is decorated with antique furnishings, enriched with heirlooms and local cultural art.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Mike and Brenda R.

Business Owner

Dr. Mike and Brenda are lifelong residents of Lafourche Parish. Dr. Mike attended Louisiana State University from 1963 – 1967. He was a walk-​on member of the LSU Tiger football team and was named to the All Southeastern Conference team in 1967. He graduated from LSU Medical School in 1971. In 1995, Dr. Mike was elected to serve as State Senator for Louisiana’s 20th Senatorial Dist and was overwhelmingly re-​elected in 1999. He is a practicing physician of Southern ENT. Brenda began working for Title VII Indian Education of the Lafourche Parish School Board in 1976 where she served as Director/​Cultural Resource Specialist until her retirement in 2008. Brenda began serving on the Tribal Council of the United Houma Nation in 1992. She was elected Principal Chief of the 17,000 member United Houma Nation in 1997 and served in this position for 13 years. Mike and Brenda have been recognized and honored with numerous awards for their activism and ongoing commitment to Gulf Coast communities
