Specialties
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice in the Racine and Milwaukee areas since 2000, working the previous six years as an inpatient art & group therapist with Wheaton Fransican Behavioral Health. Having earned my Bachelor’s degree specializing in art therapy and my Master’s degree specializing in marriage and family therapy, I pride myself at blending creative thinking with effective systemic problem-solving. I am equally at ease working with children, adolescents and adults. In my private practice, I have developed a clinical specialty in helping individuals experiencing anxiety, Aspergers Syndrome, depression, and trauma, as well as self-mutilation and cutting.
History
Established in 2003.
«Making the decision to seek out the services of a therapist can for many be an anxiety inducing event in and of itself. Finding a „therapist“ is the easy part, what’s difficult is knowing if you’ve found one who’s right for you or your loved one. So, now that you find yourself reading my profile, please allow me this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I arrived at this point in my career through a series of deliberate choices. These choices have revolved around creating the therapeutic environment here at Therapy House, which allows you the client to receive the individualized attention you deserve.»

Business Owner
I like to characterize life as a journey that provides a multitude of choices. Some of these choices are conscious and deliberate, while others are reactive and unconscious. Regardless, each choice we make along the path impacts our course and direction. As a psychotherapist, my path began during my time in art school at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Initially I saw myself pursuing a carreer as an illustrator and animator. I was drawn to the narrative and existential elements in these art forms that stem for a need to communicate an emotionally poignant message. During these formative years, I took my first art therapy course, where I worked with cancer and trauma victims. Art suddenly became a useful tool that allowed my clients to externalize and process their emotions, in turn creating powerful transformative change.
