Our family has trusted Turner’s handshakes & work numerous times over the years, most recently with an inspection on the pre purchase of a nice little Honda EX for our daughter. thorough & honest, his shop is trustworthy for other friends we know as well. If my brother in law can’t help us with mechanical jobs, we’ll go to Turner’s, knowing his shop will do professional estimates & work.

My wife and I have four vehicles among us and on our farm. They are well maintained by us through our use of Turner Automotive’s services. We get reminders sent in the mail through post cards for each vehicle. Since we like to keep them for 10 to 20 years, we follow the scheduled maintenance requirements from the car manufacturers — we find that if we do that, that we don’t have major repairs! Pay a little over time, maintain them with regular oil changes and have a great mechanic who keeps up in the latest techniques and diagnostic equipment — THAT’s TURNER AUTOMOTIVE! These guys have worked on my cars and trucks over the last 10 years and they always do a great job. I know if I want something done, they will do it right, the first time. Have used them to do diagnostics for a low cost sometimes, too, when I it was something I can do myself. They are always friendly, stick to their quote, keep you informed of what is going on with your repair and their shop is always clean and organized. Always fast and reliable.

Poor business man! Too soon to say if he fixed the car.
The car, a 1997 BMW 328i, needed a new stering column key/​ingnition (quote of 1 hour for labor). Steve ordered a VIN# part on Sept 30^th. He should have ordered two parts but only ordered the one. The VIN# part came in on Oct 9^th, so we had the car towed there that afternoon. At 12:30 on the 10^th, Steve called to say that he needed the other part too and that the car would not be ready until the next day because BMW is in Fife, WA and the part would not arrive today. We offered to go pick up the part in order that we would still be able to have the car finished on the 10^th. The parts guy at BMW told us that he told Turner Automotive to order both parts. He was shaking his head that we were in for the other part.
We got back from Fife with the part and arrived at Turner at 3:00 and Steve said that the car would not be ready until the next day even though he had said on the phone at 12:30 that if we went and got it that it would. He denied saying that when we came back in with the part. We had words in the office, then got in our car to leave. As we sat there talking about what to do, Steve came out to our car and had our keys and asked us if we would like to take our car somewhere else! Who does that? I told him «No, I don’t want to tow my car to another shop and start from scratch with them.» I told him that if he wanted to make things right then fix the car and fix it today.
Steve’s reason for not finishing the car was because he had someone else’s car he was working on had been in the garage since Friday (7 days). I told him that he had ordered our part Monday of that week (11 days). I told him that our car should be higher on his priority list because, well, we were in before the car you are working on. Steve mentioned more than once that we needed an apt, he had scheduled our car for the morning, not the afternoon. He used the word appointment numerous time. I could not believe that this guy expected us to make an apt for him to finish.
We went home but came back later with some friends. Steve was persuaded to finish the job… now would be good. But hey, we were willing to hang out and wait. Steve spent 25 minutes rght in front of us to finish the job (the car was never pulled into a bay).
1. Should have ordered both parts at the start.
2. Should’ve honored his word about completeting job if we went to get the part.
3. Suggesting we take our business somewhere else is exactly what we will be doing. You should do the same!
