Wish i could give 0 stars, as thats how i felt about my experience. The hostess and the tablet on the table was more helpful than our server and the manager. We were seated in such a great manner. The hostess was amazing. «Cat» was our server. We got drinks, a jameson and ginger which was strong but who’s complaining, and an LIT which only tasted like sour mix and a hint of alcohol at the end. Worst $ 4 ive ever spent. Then we ordered appetizers, fried green beans and brisket nachos. Worst $ 9 i ever spent. The green beans were thrown on a silver pan wayyy to big for the portion given with a sad excuse of a lemon aioli, and the nachos had a tablespoon worth of brisket on them. Asked the server for ranch since they were ‘out of sour cream’, never received it even after asking 2 times for it. Waited 38 minutes for our entrees after ordering. the cowboy burger i ordered ‘pink’ but wasnt even close, asked for ranch again and got some after i finished my cold fries. A few small ones even still seemed frozen. My guest ordered the mac n cheese with tenders entrée and the ‘cheese’ was more a queso sauce that was extremely blande and distasteful. Sent it back to get a triple bacon burger that had 2 pieces of bacon on it. Ordered it pink as well and it came back well done as well as mine. His fries were slightly warmer. Manager came over to address his send back and litterally said ‘sorry, they’re making your burger.’ Server never prebussed our table. We had 4 cups sitting from the time we got refills until the time we left, appx 45 minutes. They were even stacked and sitting on the edge of the table. She was kind in the 4 trips she made to our table but had no knowledge about serving. It was plain to see. So much about my trip this evening was a waste of my time and hard spent money, i would never go back to this location no matter how close it is to my home. Management and servers/bartenders/cooks need change. Clean house. I hope the owners review this, and id like to speak with them. Ive worked in this industry for almost 10 years as well as my guest, and i am a general manger of a restaurant. If i ever witnessed a server or any of these other issues repeatedly, they would be terminated. I wouldny recommended this location to any of my worst enemys. I wish i could these 2 hours and $ 50 dollars back of my life.

I don’t know why I get gift cards for this place every year for Christmas. This year we got $ 100 and usually that wouldn’t be problem but my husband and I couldn’t even spend that here. We started with sweet fries, and pretzels with cheese. We ordered it from a new machine they place on the tables which was the best thing about our whole night since they have games on there like word bomb. The pretzels looked over cooked, and the cheese it came with was disgusting! Super greasy, and not warmed enough so it was chunky. Just say no! I enjoyed the sweet fries and the 3 sauces that come with it. That’s about it. I got the new shrimp and broccoli cavatappi. Way to much lemon, greasy, and bland. My husband got a burger that was okay. Service is just okay. Seemed to be very slow to get our drinks and for someone to come to our table so we could order drinks(new machine doesn’t do that) in the first place. Mind you it was a Monday night, empty bar, and only a few tables were filled.

I’m not one to write negative reviews, but tonight I will. Sat down at the bar. Was planning on having dinner but all the bartender could do was complain, whether it be to her co-workers, manager, or customers. I’m sure she was having a rough day, believe me, I’ve been there in this industry. However, I would never portray that to my customers. So, I left. why would i want to have dinner here? Very sad about this experience because I was hungry.

Ive started to come here with my mom for weekly early dinners and cocktails and its been great. Im not quite sure why there are so many bad reviews on here but that has not been our experience at all. The food was fine and nothing wrong the waiters were friendly, if not to friendly. Applebees is a great place to go if you just want a simple meal and cocktails without having to deal with large crowds.

Terrible. A friend and I stopped there last night. My steak was underdone(but ok for me) and tough as hell. I was able to carve out a couple of ounces, enough to kill my hunger. The potatoes were barely warm… and I never got my salad. My friend’s steak was WAY overdone and she sent it back. The manager did come over and eventually wrote off our meals… but that was at least 15 – 20 min after she sent it back and we decided to leave. The place was empty, surprise, so it wasn’t like they were too busy to get her meal back to her! I felt bad for the waitress, she did try to help… hopefully she can find a new job in a better restaurant.

The worst experience and will never go back! I had went here for lunch with my coworkers on Tuesday and the waitress was so slow in bringing out drinks, taking our order, and when the food came out I had hair in my salad. The manager never came over to my table so I called up there after I left bc I could not waste anymore time as I had been there for 45 minutes already to eat a cup of soup and our table was sticky as if it hadn’t been cleaned. Kayla the GM on duty told me bc this is the restaurant industry that food is more likely to have hair and things in there but thought I sent my food back because I didn’t like it. Regardless as a manager you should be talking with each and every customer if they send food back and told me they were understaffed and busy during lunch time so she couldn’t make it over. I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant before and will be filing a formal complaint with corporate and notifying the health department of this. Her only advice was can I take your information down to send you a coupon if you want to come back? If I want to come back??? Oh don’t worry I don’t plan on ever coming back which is pretty sad bc I love the bar staff but the day staff really needs some customer service training particularly the manager.

We were coming home from the airport and in the mood for appetizer trio. We were greeted in a friendly and prompt manner. Our food came quick and our trios were great. Mine was chicken wonton tacos, sliders and wings. The wontons are crunchy and not greasy. The sliders and sweet and spicy wings were great too. Good job Applebee’s we will be back.

The service at this Applebee’s was some of the worst I think I have experienced. The food took forever to come out, almost an hour after we had ordered it to be exact. And one member of our party asked for a drink refill and did not receive it for another 30 mins. Also, when the food finally arrived, only half of it arrived, the other members of our party did not get their food for another 15 minutes. Even though the food was okay, the service was just terrible. I will certainly not be going back anytime soon.

I don’t usually review chains since your experience there depends on a whole bunch of factors, not to mention they rotate out employees frequently… but I had to warn people to stay away from this Applebee’s! I’ve gone to Applebee’s several times(not this particular one though) and while the food is just so-so, their 2 for $ 20 deal is a good quick meal when you don’t know what else to eat. So I won’t go into the food and atmosphere.(Although I should mention this place overcooks steaks, I definitely asked for medium, but I got UBER done). What makes me a disgruntled customer is the service of this particular Applebee’s. I had placed a to-go(carside) order… no problems there. But once I got there, NOONE ever came to my car(I waited a good 10 minutes too). I should also mention that the waiter on the phone told me it’d be 10−15minutes and it took me 25minutes to get there, so it should’ve been ready. Since no one came out with my food(or even to let me know if there was a problem), I walked in. I stood next to the to-go cash register for another 10 minutes as FOUR(yes 4!!) waiters and waitresses just passed by without saying a word to me. No «we’ll be with you in a second» or «can I direct you somewhere?». Nothing. I had to stand in front of a waitress who was about to pass me again(for the third time) and ask her if I could pick up my to-go order. She pointed at the bartender(who looked at me a few times also, but never said anything to me). There were no apologies or explanations. Horrible service. If you’re going to Applebee’s, stay away from this one.

I used to love applebee’s back in the day. LOVE it. I went to this location with the dude and a couple friends after the state fair. We had a nice enough waiter. The dude and I did the 2 for $ 20 just because. We ordered the onion rings among other things. However, the onion rings(and every other fried item we ordered) came out nearly black — just like they’d used the oil one too many times and did not bother to change it. I complained to the waiter because that meant I was not eating our appetizer or my meal and he really didn’t have much to say about it. It was like«well did you try it?» «Yes.» But why does that matter!!! I did try it in an effort not to waste food or money but it was VISIBLY gross. It’s not like I was making it up. I tried to take a picture but realized my phone had no battery. So, the food just sat there, he didn’t bother to remove any plates, etc. In fact, he kept replacing waters and sodas but not removing the empty glasses. So essentially I was surrounded by nasty dark fried food and empty glasses. It was just a very strange and unpleasant experience. In fact, we were sitting close enough to the kitchen to hear someone screaming and berating employees. No wonder we got such crappy service. Our waiter did not offer any type of discount or anything for the terrible food. We ended up paying the entire bill and I’m pretty sure that’s because dude had a headache from me dragging him around the fair and he was tired and just wanted out of there. I was tired too but I am SO disappointed in this service, food, just the whole experience really and I will NEVER go back.

Meals were very hot and cooked right. My potatoes on the skillet with chicken and shrimp were a bit overdone. Margarita and wine both good. How can they not have tea bags for a simple cup of tea at the end of meal!?! And when someone realizes it, someone should run down the road to local place to get a tea bag… I would think that would be customer service! Desserts look and taste good. Waiter was very pleasant and took care of the details very nicely for our family visit here.

I avoid one star reviews if at all possible. But, I would actually skip a meal before eating at Applebee’s. Last time I ate at this location was during an expo at the fairgrounds. I had an employee with me and wanted to treat them to a decent meal close by. This wasn’t it. My sliders were dry(I’d say hockey pucks but I don’t want you to think I’m exaggerating). When the waitress faked interest by asking how our food was I told her it was«inedible». She made no effort to apologize, replace it, refund it or get a manager. That was it for me. One can forgive bad food(it happens from time to time) but bad service is NEVER acceptable.

This place is not bad for a chain. The food is above average if you are used to bad food. Otherwise stay away. Why people take me to these places I have no idea. I know there are better choices in the Triangle Area. Maybe they don’t think too highly of me. Any way. If you go there stick with the basics. Burgers are fine.

Let me preface by saying, I didn’t choose to come here for dinner and never would I choose it. In addition, I’m no fan of chains… nor writing reviews for them. I would just like to inform those out there of: Neighborhood Specials! I had a nice alcoholic beverage for $ 2.99, which consists of vodka and gin(?). In addition, chips and salsa were $ 0.99. Every night after 9p, appetizers are ½ off! That means wings are ~$ 5 and same with shrimp/spinach dip/mozzarella sticks/etc. I got the pulled pork tacos and they were ok… Got the boneless wings by mistake(my favorite are the ones with the bones), and they were ok. So everything being subpar,…I have to give it 3 stars. I would not come back just because I want to experience the rest of the various cuisines that Raleigh has to offer. That said, I urge the reader to do the same and stop with the chain restaurants.

i went here the other night with a friend, who picked our friendly neighborhood bar and grill. I ordered the buttermilk shrimp, which I thought was pretty tasty. The garlic bread was limp and not crisp(soggy garlic bread, EW!) and the vegetables were overcooked. Disappointing, but hardly unexpected. The bad part of the evening really came from the wait staff, which was inattentive and forgetful. My friend ordered a side of ranch dressing for his fries and the waitress forgot to add it. Then, when he asked her for it again, it took her 15 minutes to finally get it back out to him. Also, we waited awhile but our drinks were never refilled so we finally asked and it took another 10 minutes to get that as well. I once read that customer satisfaction of a restaurant is directly linked to how often a drink is refilled. I think that is definitely definitely true. Waiting extra-long for everything kind of ruined the whole experience. But on the other hand, the shrimp was quite the tastiness.
