The professional and courteous staff at Bayleaf Veterinary Hospital seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for our highly-valued patients.
Bayleaf is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Associaton (AAHA). We are proud to be counted in the elite grouping of 15% of U.S. practices that are certified as meeting these exacting professional standards. Bayleaf is the only independent practice in Raleigh that is accredited by AAHA.
The association sets high standards for quality pet care in veterinary hospitals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the associations high standards in 18 different areas, including: patient care, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, health records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology and CE.
History
Established in 1982.
Dr. Craig Wilson opened Bayleaf Veterinary Hospital in 1982, and has been serving pets in the Raleigh area ever since.

Dr. Wilson founded Bayleaf Veterinary Hospital in 1982. Originally from Winston-Salem, Dr. Wilson graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. Dr. Wilson has enjoyed all aspects of veterinary practice for over 30 years.
He and his wife, Pamela have been married for 34 years and have two children. Their son, Steven, is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Oxford, Oxford, England and their daughter, Stacey, is attending Wake Forest University. Dr. Wilson enjoys all four family pets currently 3 dogs and a cat. The household menagarie also includes six bantam Wynadotte chickens. Away from work, Dr. Wilson enjoys being outdoors. His hobbies include sailing, scuba diving, skiing, flying and beekeeping.
Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine.
