This is my second time visiting this food court. I’m not from the south but if all fried ocra tastes like this I’m a fan. I had the burbon chicken, fried ocra and mashed potatoes, over white rice. The chicken was really good. I’m not sure if all burbon chicken tastes like this or better. but I’m a fan of this place for sure. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Great deal for a seven dollar plate of jambalaya rice and bourbon Chicken. I enjoyed the meal and was surprised by the quality of food from a food court.

The food here isn’t half bad, and it’s a pretty good alternative to many of the food court options. Seafood done Luzianna or cajun style is always a treat for me, but it really didn’t seem cajun. It was tasty, sweet and all that, but cajun? Nah… I tried the noodles, green beans, and mac n cheese. I have never found Mac n Cheese that my little girl wouldn’t eat until now, well, maybe never. I didn’t think it was bad, it just wasn’t great. Like the mac n cheese. The seafood stuff wasn’t bad, it was okay. The noodles were standard lo mein and the green beans were pretty darn good. Big Easy is still a step above many of the other places in the food court, but in my humble opinion, it’s not the best to be offered there.

If you’ve been to a food court in a mall then most likely you’ve seen restaurants like this, they have various types of chicken on toothpicks asking you as you walk by to try theirs. In the mall where Big Easy is located there has to be at least a minimum of five other restaurants that do a similar offering and they all seem just fine, except for Big Easy. On the day I was in the food court, Big Easy was being helmed by Jessica and unlike these other establishments, they don’t berate you as you walk by but instead ask you to try a toothpick of their chicken in a professional manner. Upon ordering, they don’t rush you along like others do assuming you know what you want, I was able to ask questions and not feel hurried at all and this was during a busy time of day in the mall. Their menu boards are self-explanatory and easy to read and price wise they are extremely reasonable. The quality of the food was exceptional and not bland like others I tried.

One of my go-to places in the food court of Crabtree Valley Mall. I don’t know why, but I’m a sucker for that bourbon chicken. The people behind that counter are always super friendly too. I was there just last night and it had been several months since I’d last had their food so I sampled both the bourbon and honey chicken. Bourbon’s still my fave! So I got the bourbon chicken, steamed white rice, and a side of corn. Well, just for kicks, I opted to try their noodles too. They’re okay, but I’m in love with my bourbon chicken. Probably not the most healthy on the planet, but it’s goooood. Throw in a drink and it’s about $ 7. I always eat it too fast too… it’s the sauce, the sauce I tell you! Not Big Easy like New Orleans authentic, but still satisfying nonetheless. Yummm.
