DesignScapes is a landscaping firm specializing in custom residential landscaping design and installation. DesignScapes was established in 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina by Susan Downing. The landscaping company has since been serving the Triangle area with custom landscape design and installation, along with our outstanding customer service.

Business Owner
The heart of DesignScapes’ landscaping operations can be found with owner, Susan Downing. She is a North Carolina native and NC State graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, specializing in landscape design. Susan’s love for creating beautiful landscapes is second only to her desire for satisfied landscape clients. She works alongside the landscaping client to ensure their dream landscape becomes an actuality.
She has built DesignScapes around two core principles: to create visually stunning landscapes and to serve each client fully and attentively in order to create lasting relationships. Her hand-selected team of landscaping professionals reflect these core values, and work to ensure that each landscaping project is completed in a timely and courteous manner.
