Delicious! Today was my first time and I loved it. It was perfect post workout, light but filling. I will definitely be back!

So I’ve definitely left a review before, but what happened today on my visit to Happy and Hale deserves praise. So I have been an avid customer, and I know the things I love(which is most everything on their menu). Over the past few weeks, I have been on a diet where i’ve cut out dairy and grains. Over my several trips to Happy and Hale over this time, I have been able to order healthy and discuss my dietary changes with the amazing staff! Today, I went in for breakfast, and I ordered the Acai Bowl(which is incredible), and the staff remembered that I cut out certain items from my diet, and they made recommendations to replace the granola with a mix of nuts. I was amazed that not only did they remember that I am dieting, and avoiding certain foods, but that they offered a substitution that they believed would be an alternative. Not only did I appreciate that they remembered, but the substitutions they made for me for INCREDIBLE! It’s moments like this that remind me why i’m going to be a lifetime customer of Happy and Hale! Thank you!

Not ashamed to admit it, but I eat here probably 3 – 5 days a week whether it’s for breakfast or lunch and sometimes dinner too. Their customer service is amazeballs and so many friendly faces! My favorite salad right now is the ensa-lot-a with a splash of honey sriracha.

Protein bowl is the . Not as much a fan of the salads, but the service is always great and they deliver to where I work, which is pretty rad.

We had no idea by the name this was a smoothie and salad place. Our group thought was a pub, so thankfully we got closer to inspect. The salads are amazing getting to hand choose all your selections and smoothies were fantastic. Great healthy option.

This place is so heartwarming. I love the building, too… modern and green/clean in the center of the downtown City Plaza. It looks like they have herbs and other greens growing in the front planters of the space. The menu is a great mix of smoothies, juices, salads, bowls and some locally sourced drinks and treats. Locally sourced ingredients, too. Can’t go wrong. The quinoa bowl(sans feta) and hale mary smoothie are my faves. Outdoor seating. Delivery by bike within a mile of the store. Really cute branded clothes– the shirts look super comfortable.

If you must get one thing here, then it has got to be the Walter’s Harvest Salad! Sweet and savory is the name for this delectable veg filled dish. You can add chicken or tofu to your salad as well. I also love the juices here so much! Quaint and cute place!

The juices are addicting. So refreshing and consistent. It takes strength not to run into Happy & Hale daily. I don’t think I can replicate the flavors with my own juicer. There’s a secret method to the goodness. I’ve also made my own salad here and the options were overwhelming. I need to get a strategy before my next salad attempt… so in the meantime, juice.

I found this place while in Raleigh on business. It’s the best! I would eat every meal here if my schedule allowed.

Hip store in a hip place. The only thing that wasn’t very hip was my Aloe-ha smoothie. I got it because it was the only fruity thing on the menu, but the fruits inside were mellowed down with a leafy texture and taste of… well, leaves. Granted, this should have been expected from a healthy veggie-full place. Although my review is A-OK, I do want to go back to try something else on their menu because there are a lot of odd combinations that I’m curious to try! I most likely won’t be trying anything that sounds fruity next time around.

I’m not normally a health food fanatic, but I’m trying to detox from all the BBQ I’ve been having. Even though I’m staying right across the street, I still came in 20 minutes after closing, but the dude unlocked the door for me anyway. The Green No Envy smoothie was bangin’. I’m a fan of ginger, and you gotta get your healthy fats in with avos, so this was a no brainer. It was smooth, tasty, and somewhat filling too. Not enough to replace a meal, but it could be a good snack to have after a workout. Just be aware, you really gotta go for the 24oz to get your money’s worth though. It’s only a $ 1.50 price difference, but you get 1⁄3 more. A third more goes down real quick though because these are delicious.

This is a great addition to the City Center. They have pricey smoothies and juices that were actually disappointing(coming from a Californian). They have salads and acai bowls as well but no restroom. It’s a stand-alone that juts out in the middle of some hotels.

I went here for breakfast and got the scramble. I loved the food; in fact, I can still taste it. Wish I could replicate that kind of mixture at home… But not really because it means if I want it again I get to go back to Happy and Hale :) The customer service was so personable and wonderful. The greatest thing about this place isn’t even the food, it’s the mission the food serves as a medium to achieve. These guys want to help people live healthier, but their main goal is to bring people together in community with each other. I loved it and would highly recommend.

My daughter brought me here for lunch today and WOW! Awesome meal! We all had a different type of salad and were very pleased with the portion size, freshness, and taste. But wait! There’s more! They just began making and offering sangria! We were their first sangria customers. The owner, Tyler, came out to see if we enjoyed the concoction — and was very open to making changes based on our recommendations. He then went back inside to make another batch so we could same the results. It was perfect. Thanks for making it a great lunch.

Amazing smoothies and incredibly nice staff! Their smoothies are a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for the quality ingredients and unexpected flavor combinations. Their smoothies go beyond the standard ones made with sweet citrus fruits(though I do like those too). My two favorites are the city of oats(strawberry, banana, steel cut oats, cinnamon, date) and the almond brothers made with banana, almond butter, cocoa nibs and ground coffee. The people who work there are always friendly and pleasant. Today, I asked for an extra loyalty card because I lost mine and the guy at the cash register even asked me how many punches I had on my old card then went ahead and punched my new one, no questions asked. I pretty much only come here for breakfast so I’ve never had the sandwiches or salads but they look pretty tasty as well! Highly recommended!

How have I not reviewed these guys yet?! I love Happy & Hale so much. The huge fresh salads are so delicious and flavorful — the combinations they come up with are awesome. I usually go for the Big Salad or the Ensa-lot-a — I always go in thinking I’ll try something new and then I revert to my old favs because they are just that good. A salad and a glass of Happy Water(just water with herbs and lemon) is the perfect weekday lunch. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming — they explain things in detail to people there for the first time without rushing them through the line. That line is out the door during lunch hour! The building itself is one of the little kiosks on Fayetteville and it is open, bright and fresh with lots of greens on display and an easy to read menu while you wait in line. My only negative is the location — if I worked on Fayetteville St. I’d walk but since I don’t, I have to drive, pay for parking, and then walk up to get my greens. I really can’t complain though — Happy & Hale is worth it!

Super friendly people but only average food. I ordered the quinoa bowl and I was unfortunately disappointed. The ingredients were simple, so simple that I have made something similar to it before. It wasn’t worth the price because I know that I can make it at home. I guess I expected some more super foods or healthy-foods-you-can’t-normally-get-just-anywhere. Also, it’s awesome that they have fresh juices, but the flavor selections are so limited and similar to one another(there’s another juice bar in DTR with way more variety of flavors). But my friend ordered a smoothie with avocado or something, and THAT was delicious. Happy & Hale’s a cool idea for a healthier«fast food» place right on Fayetteville St.

I’ve eaten at Happy & Hale a few times now, and it’s great to finally have a healthy and responsible food option downtown. The owners strive to source organic and local. All of the bowls and silverware are compostable. I really like the Quinoa Bowl and the Ensa-lot-a. I typically add chicken or shrimp(at an extra cost) for a little more protein. The Caesar salad with chicken is another favorite of mine. As one of the newer dining options in City Plaza, I think that Happy & Hale is still figuring out how to keep up with demand. I’ve noticed the list of available juices shrink down to three on occasion and long lines for lunch. I also heard about their juicer breaking one day(shouldn’t they have a backup juicer?). But overall, they’ve never let me down. Tip: They can prepare your salad or bowl in a spinach wrap if you prefer.

Why did I wait so long to come here? I’m punching myself right now. As a girl who is always on the go I’m always looking to grab something fast but also healthy. This is a hard task I usually end up at the grocery store salad bar with a mediocre salad that I paid to much for. I love Happy & Hale and I’m so glad they opened their brick and mortar. You can come in and grab one of their cold pressed juices, a breakfast bowl, a make your own salad, or try one of their signature salads on their menu. Since it was my first time I needed to order a salad right off the menu, and I’m glad I did. I went for the Walter’s Harvest with arugula, roasted butternut squash, walnuts, dried cranberries, and goat cheese, tossed or chopped with a lovely orange honey dressing. A big, tasty salad is what I got and I almost finished it all but it was a lot of food and I was full. I really liked the toppings on this salad especially the butternut squash. A great location right in the center of Raleigh’s City Plaza, you can grab your salad and a table outside and enjoy. I had an opportunity to talk with one of the founders Matt and chat about how Happy & Hale came about, it’s nice to hear how this awesome concept became a reality. They not only serve great healthy food, but they pay attention to their customers and I over heard many conversations from other diners by me today talking about how friendly these folks are. I can tell they have a lot of regulars already. I see many Happy & Hales popping up all around the Triangle in the next few years. I don’t want to forget the juice. The«Beet It» I tried today was perfect, a little tang from the ginger and all kinds of yummy beet taste to go along with all the other veggies and fruits in there. I’m envious of all those folks who work so close to Happy & Hale I’d be here everyday. But given my workday flexibility I see many more visits here in the near future.

I’ve been pumped to try Happy + Hale for ages now and maaaaaaan I was not disappointed! The ingredients are top notch, the combinations are delicious and the salads are crazy filling! I had«The Big Salad» which was more than I could even finish! There was bacon, blue cheese, avacado, kale and arugula(I swapped from Spinach), sweet potatoes(I think!), caramelized onions and more! At first I thought $ 9 was a bit steep, but considering how long I was full it was totally worth it! Along with this, their perfect location(on Fayetteville street in the busy City plaza) and their truly caring owners(who were in the shop and actually working like everyone else behind the line) I hope Happy + Hale is here for a long time to come! I’ll definitely make it a point to get downtown to go regularly!
