Holiday Inn Express & Suites Raleigh North – Wake Forest

Excellent service, great breakfast, and cozy beds are what to expect when it comes to Holiday Inn Express, and they never fail to deliver! The North Raleigh location did not disappoint. Everything was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The location was directly across the highway for food and shopping, and easy access to wherever you need to go.

We came into town late in the evening and check in was so seamless and the desk staff was very friendly. My girlfriend and I stayed in a king room and despite her 400 lbs of luggage, we had plenty of room for the two of us. The bed was super comfortable and there were plenty of firm pillows. Since we were IHG members, we were granted a later check out which was very helpful for getting in those extra z’s and some morning work on our laptops. We slept in, so we didn’t get to try the hotel breakfast, but luckily we were conveniently only 6 miles from the mouth-​watering First Watch restaurant. I would highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to come back.

I loved almost everything about this hotel. The staff was super friendly from check in to check out. The pool was modest but nice. The room was clean, came with a microwave and refrigerator, and smelled… well like nothing. Which is the best! I had no problems using the computer and printer in the office area. I didn’t venture to actually work out in the gym, but looked in. Again modest but nice. The breakfast and the lounge it was served in were far above average on cleanliness and variety. The only thing that was a dark cloud on my stay were the loud, rude, and rambunctious group of young boys staying the night while I was there. I think there was about 15 little leaguers and they were such a disturbance to everyone. They took over the pool, the breakfast area, and ran down the halls slamming doors several times. Their poor behavior was more of a reflection on the 11 adults with them and not on the staff who’s customer service and kindness was consistent throughout my stay.

My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Raleigh/​Wake Forest for July 4^th, as part of our vacation trip traveling from Walt Disney World in Orlando back to our home in Upstate New York. The hotel was great! We had stayed in various hotels along the way, and this one was by far the best. The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable, and at just the right temperature when we arrived (nothing turns me off more than walking into a hot room after driving 600 miles).
Crystal, the front desk attendant who checked us in was friendly, efficient, and even asked us if we had any holiday plans, and mentioned things to do in the area for the July 4^th holiday. It was very much appreciated. The outdoor pool was located in a courtyard, and was quite relaxing. As a diabetic, I was happy to see the inclusion of a refrigerator because I travel with insulin that needs to be kept cold. There was a microwave, too, perfect for heating up a cup of tea before bed.
Breakfast was right up to the Holiday Inn Express’ standards, with a great selection and everything full and fresh even though we slept in and got there just a little before the end of breakfast. The breakfast room attendant was an absolute darling, very pleasant and helpful. And it is worth mentioning, as I always will, that the Holiday Inn Express’ cinnamon rolls are the best in the business! When you’re traveling with an 11-​year-​old, it trumps almost every other consideration.
The last thing I might mention is that the hotel isn’t out in the woods, but it is nestled within an office park and isn’t 100% easy to find, but this seclusion is nice when you’re trying to relax. It was only a three-​minute drive to find a restaurant, but I’m glad I had my GPS to find my way back. I would stay here again, and encourage others to do so as well.

If I could give this place no stars I could. Even though we offered to prepay for the room if we didn’t have a credit card for them to authorize for the amount we could not check in. We only had cash and were there for my husbands best friends wedding which he was in. I asked them why I need a card if I could go ahead and pay up front and he told me just in case of damages to the room. Then the manager proceeded to tell me I could go get a prepaid card to check in with. Well I did not understand the point in that if it would be prepaid for no more than the amount for the room. All they said was they would hope we would not do that. We told them we drove all the way from Fort Bragg and that we were part of the wedding party. We had to call the groom to come down and authorize his credit card. The room was ok I didn’t have any issues with it but the staff is awful. We checked out early but as I was checking out the guy at the desk this morning tried to tell me I needed exact change to pay for the room. When I was like I have the money but probably not exact change he took my money and went to a full register. So what the hell! then he tells my husband whom had run to get a banana and some juice that since I was checking out he could not do that but he would let it go. Like he was doing us a huge favor and we hadn’t paid for the room including breakfast. All in all due to the customer service we will NEVER stay at this holiday inn or any other one. If they continue to use the «company policy» bs with customers and not take care of them then they will not have business. My husband is in the army and we travel a lot but we will not be apart of this hotel chain.

This was a great hotel to stay at. It was clean with no bed bugs. The pool was larger than a lot of other ones and the service was top rate. I really liked the look and feel of the rooms. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were quality as well. I would stay here again.

Very clean! No bed bugs, no mold in our bathtubs, no smoke smell (except sometimes walking in from people smoking outside), and very quiet. It was a great place to stop and rest overnight or two. The breakfast was a decent variety, biscuit and gravy, bacon (only seen the empty container), eggs, oatmeal, cereal, pancakes, coffee, juices– the basic. It was enough to fill you up and get you started for the day. The lady that maintained it was amazing! She was so nice and ran around all morning cleaning everything and making sure everything was full. Great relaxing stay!

Great service and hotel has been renovated. Great free breakfast, pool, free wifi, gym.

This is a nice Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are up to date and have flat screens. Internet is quick, and everything you would expect from a HIE.
The guy at the front desk was very helpful. I was having trouble printing on the desktop that they have upfront and he came over and noticed I was frustrated. He immediately offered to print (my boarding passes) for me on the front desk computer no questions asked. I thought that was pretty good customer service and appreciated that he noticed my frustration. They had fresh baked cookies in the lobby too, i could smell em from my room down the hall. Pleasantly surprised with the service and quality of this hotel.
