They get 1 star. The reason for the 1 star is really for the service. I really will never go back to this place due to the lady running the place. I dont want someone that unhappy making food for me.

WOW! this place is absolutely amazing! I got the Mediterranean pita and pistachio baklava and both were great! I HIGHLY recommend the pistachio baklava, it’s mouth watering. the service is also impeccable. The owner was very kind and friendly and the place overall has a cool/relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back with friends!

I love this place! The food is super tasty. They are really fast to prepare your food and I have always been happy here. I would go here for lunch every day if I could. And it’s located nect to NC State University so a great place for students and staff to get lunch. They should seriously open up one of these restaurants on campus. If you are in a hurry it’s great, but if you want a relaxing meal this place is a little too fast pace for my taste. The do not have waiter service at the tables.

This was the first location, and they still do a great job! Right across the street from NC state, I used to come here at least once a week after classes for dinner. I recommend the chicken zaki with hummus instead of fries. Delicious!

Hands down one of the best places to eat on Hillsborough Street!

The taste of my falafel pita was fine. It was also small and overpriced.

I had the Mediterranean platter and hit the spot! The salad was fresh tossed as I ordered and my chicken had a perfect blend of juiciness and charred edges. Not to mention it was decently priced with a good amount of food as well. I’ll definitely go back in a heartbeat!

I’ve been to this place a few times just because I was starving. Usually, when I’m super hungry, any food will suffice. But, this is something else. I like this place because it is somewhat healthy. However, the portions are incredibly small for what you purchase. Also, the lady who was ringing up my order failed to regard the correct price so I got charged more than what it says on the menu despite me having to repeat my order several times. I’m not a Mediterranean food expert but I have had better food at the equivalent price.

Delicious! Got the Jasmine Platter choice of 3 with the beef, the rice, grape leaves and hummus. Im hooked. All was fresh, and yummy. The place is super clean and it appears up front they take pride in their food and products.

The chicken zaki is delicious and the fries are always hot and fresh. Lots of good items. That being said, this establishment is highly lacking. I go there all the time, but I still feel like there customer service is terrible. As a regular I am amazed at how bad it can be. The food is overpriced for how much you get. They literally put the minimum on your plate with one of each topping for your salad. If it wasn’t for the convenience and the fact I am addicted to the chicken zaki, I would never go.

Good tasting food to be honest but it depends on what you get. The fries are alright, but the hummus is really good. The chicken and lamb are both pretty good; I’ve had the chicken with the jasmine bowl and the lamb within a gyro. However, the baked vegetables are really, pretty low quality; they’re pre-cooked and all they do is re-heat them in a microwave. I would definitely recommend a salad or something instead of it. Also gets pretty crowded during weekday lunch times with the mix of work and college student crowds.

I love the Jasmin Bistro chain but I must say if you are in Raleigh on Hillsborough street, go up the street to the one across from Meredith College. The taste of the food is much richer I assure you

Was visiting NC State for the day and wanted to have lunch somewhere within walking distance. I always love Mediterranean so decided to try this place. I got the gyro platter. It came with salad, pita, fries & lamb meat. Unfortunately, the lettuce was wilted, the pita was cold, and the meat was dry. The fries were just OK. I would try somewhere else before going here. If I was a student, I might just go here out of convenience.

This place has good, quick food for the price point and location. It isn’t going to blow you away to the extent of some of the more expensive Raleigh Mediterranean alternatives, but the authenticity makes it good enough. I had the tabbouleh salad with roasted chicken(to-go). The flavors were well balanced(not overwhelming filled with parsley as I’ve seen elsewhere), though it was dressed with more oil than I felt was necessary. Should have asked for it on the side. IMO the hummus is very well done. It seems like they might use a little higher concentration of tahini, but it is very creamy and delicious. The interior/build-out is very basic and has a lunch-esque vibe. Of course being on Hillsborough, the parking is pretty difficult. Overall, it is a pleasing meal and the quality/price equation seems very fair.

I needed a simple dinner before the Raleigh marathon and decided to go with Mediterranean. The décor is basic for a college food joint. The food was okay. I have had better but I usually pay more also.

I love Jasmin’s. Part of what I love is that, well, they’re a little inconsistent. I usually get the chicken zaki, which has the POTENTIAL to change your life… but can also disappoint you. It’s a bit of a gamble, honestly. Still, I keep coming back. The pita and hummus is fabulous. And they oddly have delicious french fries… It has gone downhill a little since becoming more popular. That’s a pity. I hope it’s just a result of new employees and it soon goes back to being a mostly-hit-sometimes-miss sort of place. Cuz I gotta have me my chicken zaki.

I’m in grad school at NCSU. Unless I bring my lunch, I’m stuck with the options on Hillsborough street. This street is dominated by bad food, particularly pizza places. These days, I feel like I can’t even LOOK at a slice of pizza. By most wednesdays, I can’t even say the word pizza without gagging a little bit. I ALWAYS get the Chicken Zaki. The chicken is always marinated and super juicy. I could eat it alone, but they top it off with a white sauce, sundried tomatoes and cheese. All of this is folded in a tortilla and placed in a panini press where its toasted perfectly on the outside and melted on the inside. It’s very satisfying. While Jasmin’s won’t knock your socks off, they offer solid food with a BIG smile. Seriously, the staff here are the friendliest on hillsborough street. Neomonde’s is better, but seriously, who wants to move their car and deal with hillsborough street traffic at 12:30? Exactly. If you’re near NCSU and are debating lunch options, give Jasmin’s a try.

I’m not much for Mediterranean food, but this place was pretty good. I really liked the gyro meat and the salad that was included in the meal I purchased, but my pita bread was stale so it was a bit disappointing. My friends told me the hummus was great, though I can’t stand the texture. The dining area was small but comfortable, and full of NC State students. It’s a pretty nice environment.

Went here a lot after school or study sessions. Their falafel is pretty good but Neomonde is better. However, the restaurant’s food is fine but the portions aren’t as good or large as Neomonde either. Jasmin’s best dish is the Lebanese Platter, which is fantastic. The sides are okay. The fries are nothing special. Parking might be difficult, since it’s Hillsborough Street. Atmosphere is okay. They almost always have Soccer on, and staff is nice too. Can quickly get crowded during lunch but nights are easy in terms of finding seating. Very affordable.

Famished after a couple of hours on I-40 and further crushed by the recent abomination that is Hillsborough construction traffic, I entered Jasmin because, to be completely honest, it was the first restaurant I was able to park near that didn’t look too shady(and at this point, I was seriously lowering my standards). So at first I thought it was the hunger talking, but upon further consumption. no… yes… YES… my chicken greek salad was not just I’m-starving-and-would-eat-a-small-child-if-it-got-too-close good, but ACTUALLYGOOD. I won’t go so far as to say this place has mind-blowing ethnic cuisine. But the chicken schwarma was tender and nicely spiced and the salad itself was loaded with fresh ingredients(including a whole dawali, which I’ll never turn down). The pita bread served on the side was of the warm, doughy variety that gives me fresh ire for my wheat allergy. The staff is notably friendly here, too. The guy at the counter laughed at me when my change came up a penny short and I tried to hand him another dollar instead. «I’ve got your penny,» he said, smiling. He’s also got a new customer.
