The owners are fantastic, very polite and they care about customer service and were very accommodating. That being said, the steak was frozen and looked exactly like steak’ums when out on the grill. The buns were fine but nothing to write home about. The problem was by far was way way way to much grease, so much so that the bun was soggy drenched and frankly just fell apart. The steak nachos were good but nothing I would feel bad about never having again.

Smokin Joe philly cheesesteak — my new weekly craving! My mouth is watering while I’m thinking about it :). This food truck is my absolute favorite truck with great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. If you like spicy foods which I love, the Smokin Joe is the way to go — grilled jalapenos, peppers and onions, loads of flavorful beef, soft bread but crispy on the outside, and I opt for the cheez whiz instead of pepperjack. Mmmmmmmmmmm!

The chicken philly cheesesteak is my fave but have also had the regular philly. Love that they don’t even blink when I tell them just mushrooms but add banana peppers, etc. Love the bread, love the mushrooms. Also, made sure they had Heinz ketchup and they also have a bunch of other condiments as well!!! So good. Major plus: they don’t charge very much for the drinks and that’s gotta be a pain to haul them around.

My wife and I stopped by Kings outside of House of Hops. Now, I’m not actually from Philly, but I’ve been and had the true experience. No, this isn’t that, but it’s very, very good. The steak was piping hot and the bread was crisp on the outside while being soft and chewy on the inside. I went with provolone over Cheez-Wiz(I know, Philly, sacrilegious) and it was gooey and tasted great. I can’t vouch for«authentic» or whatever… but I say don’t focus so much on that. The question is is it good? Yes. I’d have no qualms eating from these very friendly folks again. I enjoyed my philly greatly!

Not my favorite cheese steak and certainly not freshly shaved ribeye, but a nice food truck. When we questioned the owners about their cheese steak they claimed to be all Philly and more but what we discovered was not all Philly. Sadly the bread of choice was not my favorite amoroso and the whiz was really runny. Now don’t get me wrong the sub was still delicious but just not worthy to claim the title authentic. For me to be authentic one must have the right bread, the right thickness of cheese whiz, fresh cut vegetables and the freshly shaved rib eye beef. The problem was none of this was right. Their veggies were canned mushrooms cut peppers and onion. The meat was frozen probably Philly steak or steakums. Finally the sauce was just way off. One could possibly drink the fat off of their sub. Certainly not the best and would only try this again out of desperation.
