Lineberger’s Tree Service

Lineberger’s removed three trees for me last week. They were on-​time, professional and courteous. I was impressed with how safely and efficiently the removals were performed. They went out of their way to ensure everything was cleaned up.
I would definitely recommend their services to anyone I know and would hire them again for future work.

We have used Lineberger’s numerous times. For very large projects as well as removing just a few trees. They know what they are doing, are very conscious of taking care of surrounding trees etc and clean up the site. I have been very pleased with them for many years

Linebergers just came out with a chipper and I had an excellent experience with their service. At first I was not going to continue with them because the emails were strange or possibly seemed deceptive about charges, and I saw this same thing written in a review. If you do not get the help you need, you need to get in touch with Brent Lineberger or Nikki and they will answer your questions straight away. Since the storms, the tree services have been overbooked, and many have high minimums or a minimum plus hourly that seem inflated. Lineberger’s charged for their driving time but it was definitely a reasonable charge. The crew of two they sent me were very nice, personable, and native English speaking (big plus if you care what happens to your trees), and even surprisingly presentable given the messiness of the work. They fit me in with a cancellation while other services were not calling back or had to come out for an estimate while Lineberger’s came straight out and got it done. I coordinated with neighbors to do our tree pruning at the same time. I have not received my bill yet but if it is as I expect then (will update review) I would call them again if I needed someone and would not even be bothered contacting anyone else!

We recently had an oak that did not survive the drought as well as other stressors. In addition, we had other tree issues I was concerned about in general. After working with other, non-​ISA tree services, I decided that it was time to go with a real professional and found Lineberger’s through the Certified Arborist website.
This meant that the consult was not free and there was a travel charge (since we are not in Raleigh).
Was it worth it?
Definitely.
Brent came out and took his time answering all of my questions about the trees in our yard and was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. His professionalism made an impression, too, and we hired him on the spot to take down our tree.
The actual removal (a week later) was fast, very safe, and clean (they used a special machine, like a cherry-​picker, as well as mattresses to not harm the yard). I couldn’t have asked for a better service.
I only wish that their other services were in our budget — we would have had them do at least two other jobs.
They are not the cheapest tree service in town, but you aren’t saving money if another tree service damages your roof or kills a tree that you just wanted trimmed.
You can’t ask for a better service than these guys.

Do not use Lineberger’s Tree Removal Service. Bait and switch on the crane!
We contracted the company to remove a tree from our home in Cary, NC. The original estimate was high. When we challenged the bid, we were told our job cost more because we required a crane.
The crew arrived on time with the crane. However, the crane was not deployed. It was left on the street. We were told the weight of the crane would crack the driveway. The work was performed manually, but we were charged the full amount. The crew arrived at 8:30 and left at noon as promised. No additional personnel were brought in and no additional hours were required to complete the job.
When asked about the crane, we were told the price is the price. We paid, but disputed the charge on the spot. I then also followed up with several emails to the owner seeking a refund. The owner was responsive, but made rude comments about my wife. Here are some quotes from an email regarding my wife:
«…it was clear that she was overwhelmed»
«It was an incredibly high maintenance situation working with her»
«quite frankly she was unprofessional»
«I would not recommend asking her to deal with contractors in the future if it can be prevented for her personal well-​being.»
All of this from a single email!
This is a bait and switch operation where the crane is used as a means to drive up the cost to the customer.
Do not use Lineberger Tree Removal service, there are plenty of companies to choose from, try someone else.

I love these guys! We had a huge Oak tree in our yard that had been struck by lightning. Two of the huge limbs were dying and a potential threat to our kids play area. We had them first remove the limbs in hopes of saving this lovely tree. When the rest of the tree started to die, they came back and took the rest down. We had them chop the oak into firewood, and they stacked it neatly in usable sizes. Overall, they are both professional and reasonably priced. Recently they started selling mulch products as well, and we just purchase a 20 yard load from them. The price was over $ 6.00 a yard less than what we were paying another local company for the same product, and they followed our delivery instructions to the letter! If you have a problem with a dead or dying tree, or need mulch products, give Beverly or Brent Lineberger a call. They have done great work for us, and I highly recommend them to you!
