I had a plate and screws in my leg from an injury long ago. It was causing some aching over the years, but caused some serious tendon/​nerve issues last week. Dr. Boes saw me right away, and was great at explaining what was going on with the tendon. He pointed exactly to where the pain was before I did. His staff was helpful in finding a surgery center that was in my insurance network, and they got me in right away. He removed all of the hardware on Friday and had me out of there in no time. I can say all kinds of great things about Dr. Boes, but I’m back on my feet today (5 days later) without any of the tendon issues, so that should say it all.

I went here for a second opinion for an elbow fracture to determine whether the course of treatment was appropriate and if a second surgery was needed to repair the fracture.
After waiting for nearly an hour and having to make myself visible, I finally received attention from the staff. His diagnosis was a joke and offered zero insight to what I already knew. His second opinion pretty much stated that he seen signs of healing and that another surgery wasn’t likely. In all, he ‘studied’ my previous x-​rays for less than 5 minutes before arriving to his misguided diagnosis.
A few weeks later I went to my other orthopedist, Dr. Cardon who treated me from the beginning, only to hear him refute Dr. Boes’ opinion that my elbow was showing signs of healing. Dr. C said there weren’t ANY signs of improvement. Dr. Boes was very unimpressive and really missed the mark.
