Method Day Care Center was the first multi-racial daycare in Wake County in 1969 and still maintains its diversity. It is a non-profit organization, founded by five area churches, which formed the Raleigh Inter-Church Housing Corporation (RICH). The children are the top priority for the teachers and the Board of Directors. Prospective families wishing to enroll their children at the center are welcome to make an appointment to tour the center. We are so excited to be under new management as of September 2012.
History
Established in 1969.
Method Day Care Center was the first multi-racial daycare in Wake County in 1969 and still maintains its diversity. It is a non-profit organization, founded by five area churches, which formed the Raleigh Inter-Church Housing Corporation (RICH). It began operations in the Method community of Raleigh with seventeen children, two staff members, and many talented volunteers. Method was organized to serve children from all socioeconomic backgrounds and proudly continues that tradition.
In 2004, Method changed it’s name to Method Child Development Center and moved from Pullen Baptist Church to its current facility at 900 Trailwood Drive in Raleigh, NC.
Meet the Manager
Natasha K.
Manager
In 2007 a military call of duty meant that then-Method teacher Natasha K. had to postpone her plans for a career in childhood education. And in 2011 her other professional commitments meant she had to decline an offer extended to her to become Director of Method.
Now five years after she was called to duty, Method is proud to announce Natasha K. as its new Director. Kirby rejoined the non-profit childcare facility in mid-September 2012.
