with the Dog Boarding & Sitting services around Raleigh. It’s so easy to find someone nice to look over your sons when you need it. Thank you Rover for the excellent service.

We’ve used Rover​.Com twice so far for petsitting and have been very happy. We have a bulldog and a pug that get a lot of attention, treats and love while we’re gone. I’d recommend them and have friends who would as well. Most sitters can watch your pets either at your house or theirs. They also get our mail and feed our turtles, which is helpful!

was a savior for me when we had to go out of town unexpectedly for a death in the family. Our dog boarding sitter stayed in our house so our pup’s schedule wasn’t disrupted. We received daily pics of our fuzzy kid and texts letting us know how he was. It made a tough time easier knowing he was in good hands!

My three dogs and cat were very well taken care of as was my home. Our pet sitter had great reviews and it was easy to trust them after reading everyone else’s experience. The pet sitter sent us text messages and pictures of our babies while we were away. Rover is like the Über for dog sitting, walking and boarding. I’m a customer for life.

My boyfriend and I found out about rover and the idea is great. We had been bringing our pup to her breeder in Durham anytime we needed to get out of town and it’s a long drive. But now we can find sitters that live just down the street from my place so it’s so much more convenient to be able to pick up/​drop off our dog. The pricing is also very competitive and rover has a messaging feature where our sitter can send us pictures and keep in contact with us while our dog is away. It’s awesome, very trustworthy, and super convenient. Just make sure to book early for busy holidays.

We are SO glad that we found Rover for when we need dog boarding. We consider our two dogs to be our kids, and leaving them in a cold, cement kennel was devastating and worrisome… not to mention how it always put a damper on the start of any trip or vacation.
With Rover, you fill out a basic profile about your dog (s), and then look for someone who would fit their needs. They take care of your fur babies in their home as if they were their own, which is why we LOVE using Rover.
The first time we left our dog with a sitter (before we had our second dog), the sitter texted us photos of our dog playing with hers before we even reached RDU. She kept us updated on how he was playing with her dog, how he was acting, and made sure that we were 100% informed. You can ask to be contacted as little or as much as you prefer.
Plus, I know I’d much rather leave my dogs somewhere that they are free to run around and be dogs, rather than leave them somewhere where they are locked in a kennel for 22 hours unless we pay extra for play dates.
If you’re headed toward RDU, the sitter we adore is so kind and treats every dog with respect, making sure to adapt to their individual needs. Her name is Hannah M. and we honestly would keep her a secret so that we can always have her, but she’s too fantastic for us to hoard!

was a great dog boarding option for me. I got to meet the sitter and her pets beforehand and Harry had a blast while he was there. Sarah B. even took pictures for us to put our mind at ease while we were away. This was much better than having Harry in a kennel all day at a normal dog boarding place because he basically got a second home for a few days where he could roam and play. I used
on 2 business trips. Didn’t want to leave my darling in hotel all day. In Minn & also in Wash I was able to get walkers. They can also sit if you have a dinner or business function. I did meet & greets & it was great peace of mind. Will def use again for future trips and will consider them at home for dog boarding

We have used
twice so far and had two great experiences. It’s such a wonderful option to take a load off our minds while travelling. We typically will use family to watch the dogs while we are out of town but since none of them live in our town, it’s a hassle to do a drop off.

We love using Rover for our dog boarding needs! It’s awesome that we can connect with sitters right away (they have a great mobile-​friendly app) and that our dog can be watched in someone’s comfy home setting. We’ve even found one sitter that we love here in Raleigh and we always go to her first if we need to have Dex stay somewhere for the weekend. Dex gets much more attention than he would at a traditional boarding facility, and it’s so much cheaper! When you’re searching for sitters, you can filter by whether or not there are other dogs in the home, cats, children, fenced-​in-​yard, etc, so you know exactly what you’re getting your dog into, and you can filter by price.

We’ve used Rover for dog boarding several times, with several different sitters. All with fantastic luck! We’re careful to read sitter reviews and do the meet and greet in person. Especially when we were on vacation for two weeks, it was important to us that our pup was in a home and not a kennel. Now we use it even for shorter trips. Thanks Rover!

Finding dog boarding through
was a great experience. My dog is timid so I didn’t want to send her to a big, busy kennel. She was able to stay at someone’s house and I could read reviews of sitters before choosing. The sitters were able to give her medication and sent me pictures throughout her stay. I’ve used
on multiple occasions and would definitely recommend it.

Dog boarding with
was exactly what I’ve been looking for all these years. My only complaint is that I wish I had known about it sooner. We found Yvonne B. in the Chapel Hill area and she was excellent. Our pup had the best stay and loved his week with Yvonne. She not only played with him daily, but let him sleep on the bed with her, gave plenty of love, and satiated his desire for a constant game of catch. We also really appreciated the daily text messages with pictures she sent to let us know how our guy was doing. Booking and payment through the site is super easy and the rates were even better than a traditional boarding kennel. Plus, instead of your dog being alone most of the day or cramped up in a small cell, they can get full-​time attention and a whole house/​backyard to roam for a better price. Other reviewers have said it, and I’m in agreement, I’m never putting our pup in a kennel again.

made it easy to find a local and reliable dog sitter so that we could relax and know our pups were well taken care of while we were on vacation. The app makes it super simple to check in and we got tons of photos of our ‘kids’ playing, which put our minds at ease. I would definitely recommend the service to friends!

for dog boarding was a great way to get Ozzie into a home with caring humans and other doggy friends with which to play. After easily finding a highly-​reviewed family near me, the entire process of booking through drop-​off, contact and pics while away, and pick-​up was seamless.

Where would I be without

I am eternally grateful for this service and to have found this website. Not being originally from Raleigh, we don’t have family or many friends in the area. When we found ourselves going out of town (places we couldn’t take our beloved pet), we felt hopeless…
Initially we boarded our dog at the vet, who seemed to take very good care of her. However, our dog does tend to experience separation anxiety, not to mention despises being crated/​in a cage. It wasn’t long before she was coming back to us with raw paws (licking them frequently from stress) and eventually a nasty hot spot on her head… that’s when we knew something had to change.
has been a saving grace, not only for us, but for our pup. We will never «board» our dog again! We found Stephanie P., located out of Wendell, and she is the BEST. Seriously. We were neurotic in researching the sitters, but Rover’s thoroughness definitely eased our nerves. Stephanie offered us a meet and greet before our dog even stayed her first night. Normally our dog growls at others when on walks (and Stephanie has 4 others of her own), but she seemed to be «at home» right away. Stephanie is a registered vet tech, which further reassured us. I will admit the first visit away seemed a bit daunting, but Stephanie was there every single day with texts, pictures, and even videos of our dog enjoying her stay,
After finding Rover last summer, I am elated to say that our dog has never been happier with where she stays when we aren’t able to be home. While I only can vouch for Stephanie P., we consider ourselves lucky to have found her thanks to Rover. Just the other week, Stephanie contacted us just to check in and see how all of us were doing, and to say that her and her family missed us (well, maybe just the furry one of us). Our dog is actually getting ready for her fifth (!) stay next weekend, and we owe our peace of mind wholeheartedly to Rover.

Multiple reasons to do this: 1) The use of the site is super easy.
2) You can drop your dog off at a dog sitters house or have the sitter stay at your house while away. 3) the sitters fees seem significantly lower than a kennel. 4) Your dog won’t be locked in a cage all day while you are gone. 5) Often time the sitters have other dogs so your dog comes home exhausted from all the play time. Mine actually seemed depressed for a few days lol. 6) The sitters have real reviews from past stays. 7) They send pictures and emails which are all synced to your cell and come as a text which I thought was very convenient.

We recently took our first solo trip without the pups, and found the perfect dog sitter to take care of our 5 yo labradoodle and 3mo old labradoodle puppy. We didn’t want to leave the two at the vet or a large boarding center as they both need a lot of exercise and attention. Rover helped us find the perfect family to take in our two dogs during our vacation. Our sitter even sent us pictures everyday so that we knew our dogs were having fun in a safe and loving environment. We will definitely use Rover again!

I used
for the first time recently to board our two dogs during our wedding weekend.
We usually board our pups, but wanted to try something different this time that allow them to feel «more at home».
After communicating via e-​mail, we met up with a dogsitter nearby and her dogs beforehand to make sure everyone would get along.
We dropped them off two weekend later and had no worries. We were especially thrilled when we got the picture updates throughout the weekend.
Communication with the dogsitter was a breeze and I felt that the price for each night was fair. Would definitely recommend
for those looking for an alternative to dog boarding.

allows you go through many different sitters on their site. You get to see what each sitter services are offered such as boarding, walking, and prices. I used the site to have my dogs stay at my home while I got married. The price was great and much cheaper than boarding them and they were more comfortable at home. Each sitter is different and some will allow you to board your dog or cat in their home.
My sitter came before my hubsand and I left to do a walk through of my home and see how the dogs lived. I let him know what to do and also created profile on the site with care instructions. He sent me a picture when he came and let the dogs out and a message. I came home to happy dogs and no mess in the house.
I’m going on my honeymoon in a few days and have booked a sitter through
again to have my dogs stay in my home.
