History

Established in 2009.

I am DeVonda Manning and I am a Raleigh, NC-​based wedding and event planner who founded Simply Lavish Weddings & Events in 2009. I have a love for all things chic, sophisticated, exquisite and Simply Lavish! Which is why I do what I do and do what I love.

I love creating beautiful, fresh, and unique events. I will work closely with you to create the perfect aesthetic for your wedding. Starting with mood boards and color palettes, moving on to increadibly detailed design proposals– thinking through even the tiniest of details and taking your concept and turning it into so much more.

I believe that phenomenal events are a result of meaningful planning. The unique identities and stories of our clients inspire the design of our events. No two are alike! We adore personal details and the challenge to creatively incorporate them into your day! We love building relationships with our clients and believe in creating a great team of talented professionals.

DeVonda’s background started with a BBA degree in Finance and a career as a financial analyst for over 13 years. After realizing Event Planning is what I truly loved to do, I started planning parties for family and friends and then progressed to weddings. I earned my ABC Wedding Planning Certification from Penn Foster and membership from the renowned Association of Bridal Consultants.
