Highly polished and professional, this group has it down pat! Very educated and top of line treatments and products! Every staff member is top notch!

My go to place for massages. Have been going here for about 6 years. Mainly for massages, but have had some other services too. It’s always very relaxing when you get there. I take advantage of their spa week deals that happen twice a year so I can pamper myself occasionally on a budget.
They even worked me in last minute for a pedicure when I was there for a massage on my birthday. Friendly clean place to go, I always leave relaxed.

I go every month for a facial. I’ve noticed my skin is glowing all the time! Dermaplaning is my favorite!!!
I’ve had other services at synergy, but I feel like their skincare services are the best in the triangle. The products they sell are amazing. Very knowledgable. Also their nurse, Kelly, is about the best they come. She’s done halo on me and she could not be more professional or nicer! Highly recommend!!!

5 years later and still enjoying my services here. I had a meh experience when my fave massage therapist Dan was booked up and Candice, the customer service rep help work with me to remedy what they could do to make my future experiences better. Still highly recommend this day spa! (PS, have gone to the N Raleigh location and it’s on par with the ITB location).

I enjoyed a facial and deep tissue massage at Synergy. The spa is nicely decorated and clean. Both services were excellent. Will be back again.

I really wanted to LOVE my experience, but I’m not sure the customer service really blew me away! I scheduled a massage — which was FANTASTIC — and the hot stones really were a great touch to the massage. I have no regrets about the massage. It was the best 60 minutes I’ve had in a looooong time.
But as a first-​time customer of Synergy, I was expecting somewhat of a tour or warmer welcome. I’ve read reviews that some patrons were offered tea or champagne; I was not? The front-​desk person did not seem too friendly; she wasn’t mean, but she wasn’t particularly helpful. I walked into the relaxation room not knowing there was tea or cucumber infused water or trail mix available. I didn’t know where to get magazines to read. I wasn’t sure, after my massage, where to go: if I should check out at the front desk or sit in the relaxation room. I saw some ladies in robes in the relaxation room (which looked sooooo comfy); it would have been nice if someone told me where the robes were so I can relax in one too. At the end of my massage, I felt very confused about where to go and what my options were.
When I was checking out, I decided to buy a Voluspa candle. I spent about 15 minutes looking and smelling the different fragrances before I asked the front-​desk person if they had other sizes of this particular candle. Her response was a pretty cold «No». Which is fine… I realize she can’t magically make other sized candles appear (lol)…but I guess a friendlier approach would have been nice considering the candles were $ 28. I still bought a candle, but I almost regretted having spent $ 28 on a candle from a person who seemed a bit unwelcoming. Not sure if this is normal at Synergy or maybe I just came on a bad day.
The massage was definitely great. But the customer service, eh, not so much. Everybody had a smile on, sure, but again, as a first-​time patron, I can’t say anyone was particularly helpful in welcoming me to Synergy and explaining how it all works.

My partner took me to this spa a couple of times for a back waxing and it had cost $ 40, first time I paid for both of and us the next time it was just me.
we recently went again for the exact same treatment as before and when it was time to pay our bill the price had gone up from $ 40 to $ 60 dollars.
50% increase without any warning whatsoever. I was shocked and upset to not have been informed –and when we mentioned it to the cashier her simple response was «yes, our prices have gone up. The last appointment for me had been 4 weeks earlier and now the $ 40 fifteen minute treatment had gone from $ 40 to $ 60. (50% increase)
We each paid for our own.
He later wrote it up on Unilocal and got a response from the spa apologizing for not being informed and got a $ 20 credit on his card, yet nobody ever contacted me about my charge even through we were both there at the exact same time, in the same room, for the same treatment.
I was planning on making Synergy my spa of choice while in the Raleigh area, but now reconsidering. It’s not about the $ 20. It’s about the was it was handled.
Ask them for a quote before you do anything: even if it’s something you’ve done many times before

This spa is so luxurious, clean and calming. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by professional and sweet front desk staff. I had Sara for my massage and she was amazing. She listened to me and worked on the target areas that I requested. I loved the warm eye cover when I turned over on my back. Soooo relaxing. Can’t wait for my Second Massage.

Like I’ve mentioned in other reviews I am a very last minute person and Synergy was able to fit me in for a facial on the same day I called — I tried for a full package but beggars can’t be choosers! That’s my own poor planning. The ladies at the check in area were warm and welcoming. I was shown to a tranquil waiting area and told I could help myself to some tea etc… while I waited. After filling out the Regular treatment forms I only had to wait a few more minutes for my esthetician. We went over the usual concerns, allergies, etc and she offered me an upgraded facial to the one I booked for. She really listened to my concerns because she offered a hydration facial with an advanced exfoliation for my icky winter skin — nice up sell and not pushy! Plus, it was on sale. Extractions were as pleasant as they could possibly be and the products worked wonders for my skin. I saw an immediate improvement after the service and my skin is back to its normal self! She did try talking me into some of their expensive products but that is just part of her job, she wasn’t too pushy and she seemed to really believe in the products. I definitely recommend their facial treatments and I will be back to try more.

Visited today for the first time, and I have no complaints! My sister and I both had a 45min. massage. Rob was my therapist. I’ve only ever had two professional massages in my life, including this one, but it was great. I was led into the sitting room to change and make some tea. I had to fill out two forms, and then Rob came to get me. In the room I got to pick my preferred oils for the aromatherapy. He soaked a cloth with the oils and hung it under the headrest. Loved that! I was given some time to to get comfortable and then the actual massage started. It started at the feet, calves and thigh, then moved to my back and shoulders. Some of it was very painful, but I expect that. It really did feel great though. My only small confusion is that the website says hot stones are included (and my sister had them today) but I wasn’t offered. Not sure what happened, but it’s not really a big deal.
Rob was professional and courteous. I understand if some people might be uncomfortable with a male therapist, but it’s worth it. I had no problems and did not feel awkward at all.
I definitely recommend this place! Thanks for the great massage!

This spa has a great vibe and great décor…I was even offered the best cup of tea I have ever encountered. Everyone is SUPER awesome nice and the massages? FORGEDDABOUDIT! Love it. I haven’t had any other services there but it’s a gorgeous place. I booked my boyfriend’s very first massage there and Emily couldn’t have been any more fantastic if she tried (his words!). I will go back and so will my boyfriend. Amazing place. A++++

My boyfriend and I recently visited for my birthday. We both work full time jobs and I thought it’d be nice to go to a spa for my 21^st. This place was beyond either of our expectations. We both received a ultimate deluxe pedicure and a 75 minute massage. Layla literally put him to sleep after his pedicure and Rob had him feeling so good he couldn’t stop talking about it for hours and I felt the same.
We are definitely coming back to get some more spa time.

The moment you enter you already feel peace and harmony. The customer service is impeccable! You are always treated like royalty. I always get the best massage from Sara and Jessica, both are natural healers. The pedicures are also heavenly. You rest and have a glass of champagne and wait for pampering and beauty. The staff is super nice and luxurious.

I had a very relaxing massage yesterday morning thanks to Jen! I only had to wait a couple of minutes before she came out and greeted me. This was my second visit and I must say it has a very clean, serene atmosphere.
There was soft music playing in the background, the wait area was comfy and they even have seats for you to relax on after your spa session is complete. Jen did a good job of asking me throughout the massage if the pressure was ok. The two target areas I told her to focus on she did. One thing that I particularly liked was when she had me turn over on my back she put a warm neck pillow under my head and a warm eye cover over my eyes. I prefer to have an eye mask on when flipped over, and places do not always do this.
I enjoyed my session so much that I went ahead and booked another appointment for next month! If you book the day of your massage you get a discount! Since my feet need some tlc, I made sure to take advantage of this deal! See you next month Synergy!

It’s taken me about a week to write this review, because I was waiting for my face to calm down after a facial here. I made an appointment for the Clean and Clear (45 min.) facial, and had a great esthetician, Kristen. I was a little nervous about going, because I haven’t had a facial in a while and I didn’t know how my problem skin (which had some seriously clogged pores) would react. Kristen was very sweet and made me feel comfortable immediately. She did major extraction work, and while not pleasant, it wasn’t necessarily painful. She recommended two products (glycolic facial wash and a biweekly pad), which I normally wouldn’t have bought, but I felt like she (obviously) knew what she was talking about and really thought these two would be beneficial to my skin. I decided it couldn’t hurt, so yeah, why not? When I left, my face was very red and somewhat swollen (yikes), and of course the next few days were also not pretty… lots of new places popping up (maybe from the extractions, maybe from the new face wash) and still a little sensitive. However, I was patient. By the fourth day, my skin was looking remarkably clearer. By a week, my mom swore it looked better than it had in a while and that I had a much more even skin tone. Crazy! I will continue to use the products I purchased and will be popping in for another facial in a few weeks. While the first few days following were not my best, I am so happy I sucked it up and did it; the results are pretty amazing in just a small amount of time, and I can’t wait to see progress after repeated visits.

I chose to rate this spa as average because the wait between services was longer than I have experienced at other spas, the layout and design of the spa is tight and improvised being in a strip mall leaving me feel squeezed in and surrounded by a façade of a spa, men and women wait in the same area for services which was awkward for me in a robe and slippers, and the polish used for my spa manicure and pedicure smudged and chipped the same day, well after it dried. The staff is excellent however and do a good job at providing their services. I had a massage, facial, and mani/​pedicure. I would come here again for a quick in and out, but not for «a relaxing day at the spa» since it is not very relaxing

I woke up the other day with severe neck pain (I slept on it wrong — not even a good story!) and after dealing with it for two days I finally decided I needed to get a massage. Synergy had an opening and I am SO glad they did.
If it’s your first time there they welcome you super nicely and can answer all your questions. But the best part was my massage therapist — if you’re heading there, you MUST request Jessica Lemon! She is a godsend. Today my neck feels 100 times better and she is super interested in who you are and what you’d like worked on. It’s not a generic massage with people who could care less (cough Massage Envy cough).
This place is super nice on the inside, and also sells really great products like Clarisonic and Voluspa candles.
If you head there this week for Spa Week (Oct. 14 – 20), there are $ 50 treatments, and you can buy as many as you want to use whenever you want. Time to stock up!

The Umstead Spa was closed for renovations, but were nice enough to recommend Synergy spa. ABSOLUTELY GREAT SPA (and I’ve been to many a Red Door spa)! The staff here understands the words «customer service».
— Candace did a great job of working out the knots in my shoulders and back.
— Melissa gave me a phenomenal facial and waxing (eyebrow, leg).
— Natasha gave me a great shellac manicure and pedicure.
This place was worth every penny spent. The environment is very well-​appointed and serene and the staff «gets it» here, working quickly, efficiently, and with a polite and friendly attitude. The mimosa during my pedicure was a nice touch as well. And you NEVER feel rushed, which is important to the relaxation aspect of a great spa.
I will go back to Umstead when I need a great restaurant and hotel WITH a spa, but Synergy is my new «go to» place for a day spa. Kudos to the owner on great interior design and picking an excellent staff.

I love spa days. Everyone knows they can get a gift certificate for me and I’ll be the happiest lady alive. I’ve tried everything from red door spas and five star hotel/​resort spas but Synergy Spa in Raleigh is my absolute favorite.
While I live in the Washington DC area, my in-​laws live in Raleigh and we frequently visit. After the birth of my son, I wanted a spa day and found Synergy Spa online. I fell in love with the friendly, welcoming staff and relaxing space and zen décor.
I try to come back several times a year for messages and facials. I’ve never been disappointed. Jill, one of the nail techs, is the best manicurist and so so entertaining. George, a fairly new massage therapist, specializes in Thai style massage and is absolutely amazing. Kristin is a knowledgable and gentle aesthetician, I couldn’t recommend her more.
The new expanded space is inviting and so much less crowded. The new skin rooms are bright, modern and large.

Lovely friendly working people in the nail spa and sauna.
Front desk thinks they work as baristas, they are working that don’t bother me I’m snobby and wearing black vibe.
Why?
The point is relaxation and pampering, you should be able to shed your attitudes at the door before you don the white terry bath robes.
I had a massage by someone who, was a lovely person, but didn’t really «listen» to my body or to me. I just think his abilities or skill levels were not particularly mature enough to meet my needs, which by the way, are not outrageous. A good masseur should be able to hear or feel you and tune in, giving taking you outside of yourself, shrinking your world to the smallest essence.
Also, when you are attempting to lull somebody to relaxation, make sure the warm eye thingy doesn’t smell of pickled feet. That aromatherapy experience snapped me right out of the comfort zone you tried so hard to evoke, and I so desperately wanted.
This lovely treat was offered right at the very end of the experience. And boy, wow, was I whisked away… right from the delicious nothingness straight to the gym locker, face planted into a pair of over used track shoes.
Overall, Synergy front of house staff perhaps thinks that not being friendly substitutes for style and sophistication. Those who actually do the work more than make up for the FOH. The manicurists are all down to earth and lovely.
