History
Established in 1998.
At the heart of Triangle Strings is owner and founder, Jerry Pasewicz, a world-renowned Master Luthier and Archetier. For the past thirty-five years, his passion and dedication to the string instrument world has created a legacy of quality that permeates the workshop. We have restored some of the world’s finest instruments and bows backed by his knowledge and expertise. Each instrument for sale must meet high standards of quality and is professionally set-up and adjusted, thus ensuring the best sound and response for the player. We also provide guidance on a multitude of instrument accessories for purchase at affordable and competitive prices.
We offer a broad range of repairs and adjustments to optimize your instrument and bow, and are here to advise you on the best approach to meet your specific needs. We perform the absolute highest quality of work, and our set up specifications are not only professional but rigorous in every detail.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Jerry Pasewicz began his career making his first violin and bow in 1978. After violin making school and owning his own shop for some time he was hired to direct the workshop at Shar Products in 1988 working alongside multiple award-winning violinmaker and former Weisshaar foreman David Burgess.
In 1992 he was hired as an instrument restorer at Jacques Français’ Rare Violins in New York, under the direction of renowned restorer René Morel. In the Français workshop Mr. Pasewicz worked on some of the finest instruments and bows in existence.
Jerry is a Board Governor and President Emeritus of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers. He served as Vice President to the Violin Society of America in 2010 and the Chair of the International Making Competition from 2008 to 2014. Additonally, he has been an instructor of the Oberlin violin and bow restoration workshops since 2010 most recently in Japan and the Tottori School of Violin Making.
