Meet the Business Owner
Chef Roberto M.
Business Owner
Roberto W. Meireles, Owner and Chef of Gusto Cuban Café, arrived at his current profession by literally building himself up from scratch.
Roberto’s interest in food started back 1967 as a high school student. He worked at a series of restaurants to supplement his income and help pay for college. After graduation, he began to study Architecture and Engineering and continued to work part-time doing what he loved most, cooking.
Even as an Architect, he found himself cooking as a personal chef for special occasions, friends and family members, much of his inspiration coming from his mother’s Cuban cooking.
Today, Roberto brings his skills and knowledge as a chef to the great state of Nebraska and invites all Omahans to experience with Caribbean gusto the tantalizing flavors of Gusto Cuban Café.
