The owners son was rude because we came in to have him dump our trailer, which is his job. He shook his head at us and used foul language because we wouldn’t dump our trailer ourselves. If we were supposed to dump it ourselves, we wouldn’t pay someone else, YOU, to do it. We will be taking our business elsewhere. You need to tell your son to adjust his attitude, because when you aren’t here he is a giant prick.

At first glance when you’re in the store you see it’s a well-​stocked place, but of course everything is overpriced as usual. you’d be able to find the same items online for cheaper.
The real reason for this review I’m writing is because of their service department and I use that term loosely. I took my pop up camper in to have the refrigerator looked at because it would not get cold when it was run on propane. I left the unit and went for a walk I came back and spoke with the technician and he told me that he had done a little bit of work and got the refrigerator lit and it had to go for 4 hours to see if it would get cold. Well I didn’t have time to wait around so I left and told him I would call him back to let them know if it was working. Of course they charged me an hour labor for something that only took maybe 10 minutes and that was $ 99.
So I called and wanted to speak to the technician that worked on my camper and they told me that he was out on a call and that he would call me back. I never got a call back and waited two days to call them back and then they told me that I couldn’t speak to him that I would have to talk to the service manager and so they gave me his voicemail and I left a message for them to call me back. They did not call me back. I called back again in 2 days and left another message with the service manager and didn’t get a call back. Then I called again and they put me through to the owners voicemail and I told him the whole story, and guess what? I DIDN’T GET A CALL BACK!
So if you want to be ignored, take your RV to this place. I’ve seen them in the office when they talk to people and they look at them like we don’t know what’s going on. The owner must be a real moron if you cant return a call from a customer that has concerns about their customer service.
The only reason I’m giving you one star is because I can’t post this without at least giving them one star when they need a 0-​star.

Stay away from this place!!! We reserved 2 RVs to rent for a weekend, a toy hauler and a camping trailer. We got a quote and agreed to the terms. We called the day before we were supposed to pick them up to confirm everything and found out they had never been reserved. Nora, the owner promised there would be no problem. The RVs would be ready for us the next day.
When we picked up the RVs, they gave us 2 toy haulers, instead of the camping trailer we reserved. We decided to let that go. The next day we found out they charged our credit card $ 100 more than we were quoted. We immediately emailed Nora who promised she would take care of it.
One of the toy haulers had a leak at the propane tank and there was a huge amount of sand in both beds. On the smaller toy hauler, the trailer brakes didn’t work, the batteries were dead and wouldn’t take a charge, and we couldn’t get the generator to start without jumping the batteries. We ended up making the most of it and had a nice weekend despite the problems with the RVs.
When we returned the RVs to the lot, Nora told us to expect the return of our $ 1,000 deposit and the amount we were overcharged within 5 days. We didn’t actually get the refund of our deposit for 21 days. We made multiple phone calls to Nora that were unanswered and sent several emails. We talked to the counter employees who made excuses on why the refund was late. (By the way… There is language hidden in the Notice of Cancellation document that says they can take up to 3 weeks to refund your deposit). We finally got the refund of our deposit, but not the amount we were overcharged. We had to file a claim with the BBB to get that back.
This place has the worst business practices I’ve ever seen!

Fist call I spoke with Jeff. He acted like it was an inconvenience that I wanted to get an estimate on an awning repair. He said most people just drop it off and say fix it. Once I had the estimate he said he would call me in 3 days when he had the parts. 5 days went by so I called and they told me he was busy so the lady left a note on his desk. 2 days later… no call back so o called again, the girl that answered the phone says he’s not at his desk can I leave a message… again no call back. The next day I called the owner and explained the service I was receiving and she said she would make a note and have Jeff call me. Still no call. I will never step foot in the place again. There customer service is terrible and not to mention it looks like a dirty swappmeet inside.

The staff was really nice. Just make sure everything is working and EVERYTHING you need is there and in good condition. Some of the hoses did not properly fit and wouldn’t keep a hold. You don’t want to know what hose I am referring to. Seems like they do a very light check up once an RV is returned to them because they were discovering all kinds of things when they did our initial inspection before we took the RV. Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again.

My family started out on a camping trip this afternoon, but our trailer brakes went out. We made it back into town and it will take until Tuesday to be fixed at a different trailer place. So we stop by All About Fun here in Ramona to see if we could rent an Rv and we stood inside and outside their office, which had two employees talking about another customers rental, for over 10 min. without any acknowledgment at all! All they had to say was «we’ll be with you in just a few minutes.» But they didn’t even glance at us. I have rented from them before and almost bought a toy trailer from them, but we will never go there again. I’ve heard other stories of bad customer service there too. They have a sign that says keep your business in Ramona to keep businesses in Ramona open. Well, that won’t be happening with them for us!

Sorry I’ve been behind on all of my reviews, but I’ve been to to All About Fun RV a few times, and the employees have become an extended family of mine (let’s see, extended family like in-​law?)
I should’ve taken it as an omen when the road into Ramona was closed down because of a brush fire the day I went to pick up a 23″ wildwood TT rental.
We drove up to Mammoth and Yosemite with this trailer and while it was in decent condition, there were some major inconveniences with it.
I picked up trailer on a Saturday afternoon, brought it home, loaded it and plugged it in overnight. We headed out the next morning on our 10 hour drive to Yosemite area.
Upon arriving at our campsite and setting up trailer, I realized the wrench to adjust the leveling legs wasn’t in the trailer. My lug nut wrench was a different size so I was SOL for getting trailer level. Strike 1
Upon getting trailer setup, I noticed the trailer battery was almost dead. Hooked up our 35k gen and ran that to get dinner set. Next morning realized the trailer battery wouldn’t hold a charge so I got approval to replace it. Drove 20 miles into Mammoth Napa, bought the $ 130 battery and back to camper to install. Strike 2
Second night camping, both my kids rolled out of the bunk beds at separate times because I couldn’t level trailer and it was on an angle. Good thing there was a pile of stuffed animals on the floor. Later that morning, 4AM, a loud beeping started. I remembered the guy in the checkout yard telling me that if the battery got too low, the CO2 monitor would start beeping. I checked the battery level, that was fine. Looked around, finely realized the smoke detector was the culprit. I disconnected that. Next morning when I looked at detector, detector was a genie brand that had a genie brand battery in it. Detector was dated 2011 and the battery wasn’t dated but safe guess that that was the original battery. Strike 3
Day 3 the grey water tank was showing ¾ full and black tank ½ full. Water was backing into bathtub so I’m like, Crap! need to brake camp and dump this S.
So we did. Drove trailer down to dumping station when to hook up hose and realized the tank connector wasn’t attached to sever hose. Dbl Crap. I got pissed at this point. Emailed AAFRV from the dumping station as they weren’t answering phone. They said «it should be in there». Trust me when I say it’s not hear. Spent an hour walking around to borrow someone connection as no one was at dump station. Finally borrowed one, dumped tanks and back to campsite to re-​set up trailer. strike 4
There were other issues like when I picked up trailer, one of the tail lights weren’t working. The guy banged on the light housing a few times and it came on. He gave me a couple extra bulbs in case the bulb died on the road. It didn’t die but it did stop working. Cause of problem, trailers wire connection corroded. Spent a good ½ hour cleaning plug with screwdriver.
Registration on trailer expired in June 2013, humm, this is July 2013.
The real kicker to this experience is the customer service you receive from companies as I know things happen.
I was offered a $ 25 credit for my inconvenience with the sewer hose connection missing. WOW. Plus they were going to reimburse me for the battery $ 130.21. They charged my CC $ 500 deposit and I paid cash for the rental. My mistake on that. They should’ve owed me $ 655.31 credit back on my CC.3 weeks later I get an invoice and final bill saying that I damaged the fresh water tank valve on bottom of trailer. I had to scratch my head on this one as TT didn’t have a fresh tank valve on the bottom. Graciously, Nora, one of the owners? clarified with me after 5 minutes of saying it was my word against hers that most people who damage the campers don’t even realize it. What she really meat to say after she realized I was correct about the fresh water tank not having a valve on the bottom was that I damaged the grey water tank valve and I would have no way of knowing so since it could’ve happened on the way to return camper. And actually Nora, if I would have damaged the grey water valve, I would’ve damaged the black water valve since they are connected together. They got a free battery and my inconvenience credit out of it. That’s fine, keep the 150.
Also Nora, people do read and pay attention to the Unilocal reviews even though you think negative reviews don’t matter. Granted, most camper rental companies lack proper business skills. How about maintaining your equipment so families are not inconvenienced by breakdowns that typically occur were they are no resources to fix them!

The staff is very friendly and attentive. We rented a 26′ RV, and no one else could beat the price. The quality is what you would expect in a rental RV — it had basic wear and tear, but didn’t slow us down from making our vacation a memorable one. The customer service was excellent from the time I made the reservation, through the pickup and dropoff. There was someone available to answer questions along the way too!

Sorry I’ve been behind on all of my reviews, but I’ve been to to All About Fun RV a few times, and the employees have become an extended family of mine over the years. I’ve learned more about RV’s in the last few years than I ever thought I would ever want to know. I never knew that my auto insurance would cover an RV rental until I was informed — they never HAD to give me this information, they volunteered this. Heck, they could have taken advantage of someone who was completely naïve but they don’t. The first time I set foot inside an RV, I was amazed, I know, it was like being a kid in a candy store, I wanted to put everything together, open every drawer and peek inside.
I understand stuff can happen, a tire can pop, parts can malfunction. No matter how well you maintain everything, something can still break or even leak. They have great customer service over the phone, and they will do their best to walk you through — trust me, I’m a hopeless case, but as i was not too far, they came down near to where I was located. While it may not be the furthest they have traveled, I live in Del Mar, they are located in Ramona, yet Chris drove all the way down to fix a leak (that’s about 45 minutes not including traffic) — I totally understand they can’t do this for everyone. He even came back to make sure the issue was 100% solved.
No trip to All About Fun RV is ever complete unless you’ve met the mascot Bob. he’s almost as big as I am, and that’s sitting down! — Tells you I’m not the tallest woman in the world either ^_​^.
Idk when the next time I’ll be able to have more fun, but I hope it’ll be soon! :D

BEWARE OF REPAIRS. They charged us for two repairs on our pop-​up trailer and didn’t do the work. My fault for not checking before I left but it’s not easy to pop up and down. They were supposed to fix a sink and a slide on the window. We finally went camping several months later and NOTHING was done. They physically took money for work that wasn’t done. that is Corrupt business practices.
I read an earlier poor review on these guys and wanted to give them a chance so we went to them as they seemed nice at the time. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Siince our purchase in August where I gave a 5 star rating, our experience with this business has sunk to an «F» rating due to the problems getting the owner, Kevin and his wife, Nora to communicate the challenges in getting us the cleared title and extended warranty documents. First, several of my messages to Kevin went unanswered, then Nora continued to tell me she had put documents in the mail to me, only to then be told by Kevin that she told that to me to passify me (nice way to say they lied). Once I threatened to file a BBB complaint did Kevin begin to take interest. It is now November, still no title or warranty info, but Kevin is communicating with me and seems to be interested now in getting me off his back. Terrible business person and will encourage others to find a more reliable and honest dealer, unless you are a person who likes to spend your free time following up with someone who continues to either ignore you or give you lip service. STAY AWAY… These guys tried to take my deposit for damage to a trailer that I rented. The damaged area had rust all around it. I took pictures and I only got my deposit back after I told them that I do inspection for a living and that I was going to take them to small claims for the cost of the entire rental fee. Jerk doesn’t call me but instead has a girl from there service department call me to come by to get my money.
Save yourself the aggravation and try a honest place.
