History

Established in 1994.

Ramona Motor Works was established by Frank A. and Alice R. Pecoraro in September 1994. Before diligently serving the community of Ramona, California with all of their automotive repair needs, Frank started in the automotive repair business in 1962, at American Motors Corporation. Throughout his career, multiple Mobil Oil service stations were purchased and at the time of the first «gas shortage» around 1974, Sal Pecoraro was introduced into the automotive field. The Mobil service stations were run throughout San Diego county until the last one was sold in 1992.

Two years later, Ramona Motor Works was established and is a strong and viable business in the Ramona Community today. Ramona Motor Works offers all forms of automotive maintenance and repair. We specialize in all areas of preventative maintenance, and strongly urge following manufacturers periodic maintenance schedules. We also strongly recommend following manufacturers specifications of lubricants and fluids.

Sal is a ASE certified Master Technician, licensed in California smog inspection and repair, has on-​going certifications in Carquest Technical institute, and has, of course, had a passion for fixing cars for most of his life.
