Great nursery. So much selection. Really great find. Enjoyed bryan who was very knowledgable. And the prices were incredibly reasonable, especially compared to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I was looking for bamboo initially and came across an ad on Craigslist. I spoke to Bryan, who was very helpful. I finally had a chance to make the drive out to Ramona, and ended up buying plants to re-​do my entire front yard, which needed a complete overhaul. Manny helped me select and design my front yard with some pictures I had taken. He was super helpful and knowledgeable.
Bryan delivered everything for me within a few days and when delivering, he placed it to make sure everything would work like we thought. There were a few things that I did not need, so Bryan took them back. I liked the company so much, that I ended up ordering more and again Bryan delivered the items for me.
I spent a little over $ 800 for a complete overhaul with quality plants. The prices were better than Home Depot, Andersons, etc. for most items. It was worth the drive for me. I

Great experience, very helpful and knowledgable. Even helped me load and strap in the trees. I enjoyed my experience some much I had to stop myself I came in for a couple of fruit trees and left with 17 trees the max I could carry. Thanks again!

Although it might seem like it’s a bit of a drive to get to Ramona, I didn’t experience any traffic and didn’t slow anyone down on the way back with my large load of plants. The drive was actually stress free and enjoyable.
The nursery has a large variety and selection of plants that thrive in San Diego and required little water.
I was interested in bamboo plants for a privacy hedge. Oddly it wasn’t easy finding reasonably priced bamboo in San Diego. This nursery had hundreds of bamboo plants available in 15 gallon containers. It was like a jungle. Bryan helped me find the best plants and moved them into a clearing so I could evaluate each one.
After about an hour of selection I picked out 10 Alfonse Karr bamboo plants. Most reached 9 feet tall. I didn’t know how I would be able to fit so many large plants into my mini truck. This is a drive in nursery, so I pulled my truck up next to where the plants were lined up for review and Bryan helped me pack them up properly. They were so well packed I could have gotten a few more plants in.
But before Bryan pack up the plants he took the extra steps of: killing snails on the containers, washing the down each plant to remove dead leaves, and watering the soil to make the plants heavier so they don’t move while driving.
The price I paid for the plants was incredible. It was more than 50% off what I would pay at other nurseries I’d been evaluating. To finish up he also gave me advice on spacing, the best compost to use, and fertilizer.
If you want to save a lot of money and buy from a knowledgeable friendly grower, RP Nursery is the place to go. But before you go make sure you bring some cord and a light weight tarp to help secure your plants. I forgot to bring a tarp, luckily Bryan was able to give me something to cover the plants with.

Worst nursery! They put $ 25 size twiggy trees to $ 70 pot size (Home Depot standard) and asking $ 45?
Not only Dishonest and unethical, their fruit trees look very sick and not many fruits or flowers on trees.
We have been shopping for fruit trees a lot so we know this place is the worst!
The guy was very rude also on top of that. Two thumbs down!
