At Rusty Dog Ranch our Vizslas are OFA Certified as well as registered with the American Kennel Club. Your Vizsla puppy will come to you happy and healthy and well socialized. All of our puppies come with health and hip guarantees. Vizsla puppies will be AKC registered, tails docked, dew claws removed, dewormed, and they will be current on shots. Our puppies are vet checked twice before going home.
Our breeding program focuses on producing puppies with sound health and temperament for breed improvement. Even if we don’t have puppies available, we are happy to assist you in deciding if the Vizsla is the right breed for you.
History
Established in 2005.
We have raised and trained dogs for more than 20 years. We started raising Vizslas in 2005. They are the most wonderful dogs (for the right families). They are loving, smart (too smart!), and want to please. In 2008 Julie began running the Southern California Vizsla Rescue for the Vizsla Club of America. Vizslas have become our passion. I am an animal lover and always have been. I have always taken in strays and either adopted them or found homes for them (long before running the SCVR). I was fortunate to find a husband who loves dogs as much as I do. We have always owned dogs and most of the time, multiple dogs. Years ago when my husband’s retired K9 was getting older, he decided to research a breed that fit our family. We kept coming up with the Vizsla, although we had yet to meet one. After about a year of researching the breed, we found a breeder and purchased our first Vizsla. The more we learned about Vizslas, the more determined I was to raise Vizslas the way they should be. We wanted to give families an alternative to the puppy millish breeders out there. We raise our Vizslas as part of our family. They are never kenneled outside an our puppies don’t even go outside until their first set of vaccines.
