Sign Setters – San Diego

One of the most unprofessional companies I have ever worked with. We had two posts on a lot, and their contract came up for renewal. I was unable to renew payment via the website, and called Tom to ensure payment was made. He responded with: use the website. He removed the posts and our listing signs with no warning. When contacted via email a half dozen times, he would not respond. I finally called to ask about our property, and he said it was in his warehouse??? I asked if he could drop them off at our office, since he is in our area frequently. His response was «he didn’t care.» I’m out $ 150 in signage if I don’t drive to his warehouse, if he hasn’t thrown them away yet. Lesson learned…

My broker switched to another sign set company, and Tom still had my name riders. He said I could make the long trek to pick them up, which I agreed. Called him today to see if Saturday works with his schedule. He said he had thrown my property away. No apologies, no offer to reimburse… NOTHING.

As a realtor, I’ve worked with this company once before without issue, but after today will no longer work with them based on my latest experience…
I submitted my request online for 2 posts for a listing of mine and in my request described that I needed the directional sign to be placed in an optimal spot on the corner so drivers would be able to see it perfectly when driving by. I even called the company and confirmed that if there was any question of what that optimal spot would be that they would call me on the day of install.
When I showed up today, I found that the directional sign was put right behind a light post that blocks the sign when the main traffic is waiting at the light. There was a very obvious spot of where the sign should be… no big deal that it wasn’t done right… we are all human and can make a mistake. I wasn’t upset at Sign Setters, and all would be well as long as it would be able to be fixed by the company.
When I called about the situation with kindness and understanding, I received a VERY rude response. I thought that he might just be having a bad day, but after reading the other reviews, it looks like that might not be the case.
He told that it was fine. Saying things like… if someone couldn’t see it, then they are blind. Then after 5 minutes of his unwillingness to help, he reluctantly said that I could pay an $ 18 fee to have him move it.
If you are looking for a sign setting service, I would recommend that you consider another company that will be able to acknowledge when a mistake has been made, and would be willing to make an issue right without an unprofessional attitude. I heard that Dee Signs is a great alternative — I plan on using them next time.

I was referred to this company to install a real estate post and Tom Jackson the owner I spoke to was very rude and unprofessional, sounded like a substance abuser, when I asked him for an approximate time to install he laughed and said that was a ridiculous question! I then said that I will go with another company due to his unprofessional behaviour he said «Good» so I’m going to go with Dee Sign, reps are very friendly and more importantly professional.

These guys came to hang a sign on my property today in Solana Beach, and the guy was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. He never tried to contact me, he just started getting ready to drill a hole in a handrail on my property without permission. I came out and said something. He then got upset and started digging a hole in a open area like he should have the first time. He was just being lazy and shady. Don’t ever use this company. The guy had a black truck, plate number 68000H1.
