Liliya Skin Care Spa

Lilya is a great example of a business owner who understands the value of her clients. I go to her for waxing and am out within 10 – 15 minutes without any hassle. She runs her organization very well and treats me with courtesy every time I see her. Definitely would recommend her over other chain waxing locations — Liliya gives you personal and kind attention rather than a place like European Wax Center where it’s hit-​or-​miss depending on which waxer you get.

AMAZING — this is truly a North Jersey gem. Lilya gives the most amazing facials… they are a bit painful, but extremely thorough, you definitely get your money’s worth (and prices are great compared to other places), and your face feel so great afterwards. She also has a whole arsenal of lotions, face washes, etc. and really knows her stuff when it comes to what is best for your skin.
My skin wasn’t terrible, but I did break out once in a while — after buying the face wash and lotion Lilya recommended, my face has been SO smooth and clear, it’s never felt this way ever and it’s been unbelievable. I’m getting married in September and will be seeing her on a regular basis to prep my skin and relax before the wedding!
Her spa is nice and clean, bright, and there’s ample parking. Have her wax your eyebrows too, she’s a pro. I’ve heard massages are also great.

Pros
–VERY clean and peaceful atmosphere. You can definitely tell that the owner takes pride in her business
–GREAT customer service! I say that even though she forgot who I was, when I had just talked to her about 3 hours before to make my appointment for the same day. I got there and I wasn’t on her schedule. But she took me with no problems and was very friendly. I had a great time chatting with her and it’s nice to see some REAL customer service. She created a really comfortable atmosphere.
–This place offers a WIDE range of skin care and beauty services. I was impressed. They also offer them at very reasonable prices
–The owner gave me a full consultation on what I needed for my skin and based on my conditions recommended a facial treatment for me. I felt like she really took her time and CARED about my skin.
— We ended up going with an Alpha Beta peel to exfoliate my skin and it worked WONDERS!!! I was very pleased with how smooth my skin was afterwards and kept touching my face all day!
Cons
— In addition to the peel I had my eyebrows, lip and chin waxed (damned HAIRS!!!). This was the downside of my appointment. Although I understand that my brows were choppy and uneven when I went in, I expected her to at least make them look decent. When I looked in the mirror at the salon I was fine, but when I got home and REALLY looked in the mirror, there was SOOOO MUCH hair left in weird places. She mentioned that she was leaving some hair in so that my brows could grow back where they had been removed for a better shape… and I understand that… but there was hair all over in other places that SHOULD have been removed. Also, above my lip where the wax didn’t pull the hair, she didn’t even go over and tweeze them. Anyway, she definitely lacks tweezing and hair removal skills.
I ended up having to go to my regular girl in Cali to have her clean up what was missed.
So with all of that, I STILL would have given her 4 stars HOWEVER, the next day I realized that she had pulled a HUGE chunk of my top layer of skin off with the wax. She must have realized it when it happened b/​c I remember her saying to me that there was going to be «some dry skin» under my nose. I didn’t really know what she was talking about at the time. But the next day, there was about a ¾″ scab
above my lip!!! WTF??? This had NEVER happened with my other waxer before! So for the scab and the fact that instead of telling me straight up, she tried to play it off as if it was just «dry skin»…I take off one star.
Once I get my pix downloaded from my camera, I’ll post the pic of my «dry skin».
Bottom line, is that I would definitely recommend this place for skin treatments and maybe even the variety of other services offered, but NOT for hair removal

Clean, professional, and relatively pain-​free. I’ll return as long as I’m living in the area.

Liliya Skin Care is the best spa I have found in Northern New Jersey. The prices are very reasonable and the facial treatments and massages are amazing! I was there last week and I did the honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. It was a truly wonderful experience.
