A Better Choice Painting

I had A Better Choice Painting paint the exterior of my house in late April 2015. They did a great job and I was able to use a Living Social coupon they were currently running. They offered me the best price and I purchased my own paint from Sherwin Williams. I could not believe the price they did it for was thousands lower than any other bid I received from 4 other contractors.
I am extremely happy with the work they did and I get compliments on my house on a weekly basis. I love it.

I used Angie’s list to find these people. What a failure. The deal was for a discount on house painting. There was no deal after adding three sheds. The price tripled. They come all the way to the Bay Area from near Sacremento. Really bad idea. The painters were fatigued from the drive everyday and it showed. They painted a forty year hedge, portions of a concrete patio deck with overspray. They don’t use rollers or brushes at all, and left rafters unpainted. After tries to contact them failed I gave up.

We used A Better Choice Painting to paint out kitchen cabinets (photos shown — white cabinets) and then the entire outside of our house (photos shown — taupe, white trim, red shutters & door). On both jobs this company did an outstanding and timely job. Their employees were courteous, friendly, and professional. The finished work is awesome and we couldn’t be happier — would refer to all my friends!

I have used A Better Choice Painting several times over the past couple years. Today they did their painting magic again in our office where we recently removed a lot of shelves — leaving large gaping holes. They continue to provide excellent customer service and really do top notch work. I am quite satisfied with their work.

I found this business on Angie’s list and made an appt. for a free estimate, she came out, took a few photos and said she’d send my estimate in 3 – 4 days. I’d given her my email address and she already had my phone number.
It’s now 7 days later and I never heard a thing. They wasted my valuable time with their «free estimate» they failed to produce. Don’t waste your time or your money – I’m sure there are more reputable companies.

I had a coupon from Angie’s list and added other rooms to that. The crew was professional, clean and fast, even with all my furniture in the rooms. I recommend them and would hire them again! Great job!

I had purchased a Living Social coupon to get my living room painted. I spoke to Anna, who is no longer there, and told her that I wanted it painted a gold and that a primer, a base, and then the gold would need to be painted. She did not comment on it being a faux paint job but she only told me that it was going to be an extra $ 50.
Dario, the journeyman painter, painted our living room. He was horrible. He painted our living room when he wasn’t even qualified. He said that his boss, Michael, the owner, should have really been there because he’s never done this before – faux painting. Instead of stopping, he continued. (Up until this point, I didn’t know it was considered faux painting.) He chalked it up to as a learning experience.
He did a horrible job on the cutting in. He was on the phone way too often.
He used our restroom without asking and left the seat up.
I had been in communication with Dominique/​Michelle to get this resolved but to no avail. I paid them $ 150 for the extra coats but was left a streaky unprofessionally done faux paint job.
We are out the $ 150 plus the cost of the paint – $ 156 and a streaked living room.
I would never recommend them. Steer clear of this business. It is not a better choice but it would be the worst choice — EVER!

These guys just came and painted our bedroom. The painters were professional and they did a good job. I bought a deal on Angie’s list for a room and 8 hours of trim painting, and I think it was money well spent. They gave me an estimate for our bathroom, and that is also reasonable, so they’ll probably be back sooner than later. Dominique who owns the business with her husband couldn’t have been more pleasant to work with, and she was super responsive when I pointed out that there were a couple of spots that had been missed. I’d recommend this company.
