I had CWNET for a few years, both dial-up and DSL. For the majority of the first years I experienced good customer service, sometimes with them calling me back when I didn’t even leave a message. When I tried to transfer my service to a new address, they at first tried to set it up, only to cancel a week later as they found out they did not provide service to my new area(even though it was less than 2 miles away — but that may not be their fault). It was getting more difficult to contact them, I was only able to leave voice mails many times. I could not physically go to a location to return my equipment, but was given a mailing address to ship to and that went without incident. However, they charged me $ 50 on my credit card after I promptly returned the equipment and since I was no longer able to contact them, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and, fortunately, the charge was dropped. What a disappointment in the end. I ended up going with another provider in Rancho Cordova, Cal-Web. They ended up costing me a $ 70AT&T service call because their ‘support’ or help desk has been totally unable to assist me whenever I’ve contacted them. I’ll admit I was not that adept in setting up the basic system and there were no decent written instructions provided. And, as said previously, any calls for technical assistance were a consistent waste of time. At least when I was up and running, I’m happy and grateful to report I’ve had no further issues and the price is more than reasonable. Hopefully, it will last.

Yikes! CWNet is still charging me $ 50. They still will not return an e-mail or phone call. Does anyone know anything about this company? Would love to visit them.
