Diamond Head Windows and Doors

My experience with Diamond Head started with Joshua who did a walk up call. He explained about the windows, special offers completely going over the brochure. While talking to Joshua I pulled my door closed as we were talking outside. After deciding to make an appointment for estimate I realized my door was locked. Joshua hoped over my fence (no way I can) as my slider was unlocked, he came through and opened the door for me.
The next step was an appointment with sales rep Bryan H to come give a demonstration and extimate. He was a little late for the appointment but called to explain why. No problem there. He did the demonstration answering all questions as we went along. Before signing the contract he made measurements of all 12 windows and slider in oder to give an estimate. After signing the contract he explained that Peter would be contacting me for actual measurements.
Peter called and set up an appointment to measure to order the windows. Estimated delivery time was between November 30 and December 30.
Due to rain the installers were unable to install during the estimated time frame. However once they were able to get to the house they completed the job in 2 days as promised. The windows look great inside and out! There is a little paint touchup needed inside but I expected that since they had to re-​frame several of the windows. What a difference in the heating of my home. No cold leaks!

Overall, our experience with Diamond Head Windows was very positive. It began with Bryan H., who in this case was our sales rep and was very friendly and responsive to our questions and concerns. He was also patient with us as we went through our process for vetting service providers who contact us via door-​to-​door solicitation (we always check Angie’s List, and do other research to make sure a company is as good as they claim). It only took a few short hours to view Bryan’s presentation, get his quote for the work we wanted done, complete our research, and sign the contract with peace of mind.
After Bryan left we decided to change how we financed the windows and received excellent service from Cheryl F. when we called Diamond Head. She helped us make the change we required and promptly sent us the revised contract. When the revised contract arrived, there was clear instruction from Cheryl as to what we needed to do to complete the process.
Next, Peter T. scheduled a time to come and measure for the windows. He was easy to schedule with and very helpful when we decided to make a change to one of our windows. Once the windows order arrived at the warehouse, we scheduled installation with Peter and a few weeks later the installation crew arrived — right on time.
The three guys on the installation crew were very efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing, however this is the only portion of the process where we have any complaints. First, there are several window sills that were damaged and some of the plaster texture and paint was scraped off. I am not too concerned with this as I know our original window openings were not very square, and a quick painting to the sills will fix most of the scrapes. Next, the installation crew has a policy to try and touch nick-​knacks and breakables as little as possible, which means they will move them for installation, but leave it to the home-​owner to put them back. This is perfectly reasonable to me, however there were several pieces of furniture that were moved and not put back after the crew was done for the day, and it was my understanding all furniture would be put back into place. Luckily, they weren’t BIG pieces of furniture and I was able to move them back myself, but for a mom of a 5 year old and 1 year old, this extra post-​installation clean-​up was not appreciated. Overall, these issues are not a big deal and wouldn’t preclude me from choosing this experience again.
Our last experience thus far, has been again with Peter T. The sliding glass door lock mechanism was catching, and one of the windows had a few sticking points making it difficult to open and close. Peter came out, and adjusted the window track so that now it opens and closes with ease. The sliding door lock was a little more work, but Peter quickly replaced the locking mechanism and now it also works great.
We absolutely love our new windows and they look great! More importantly to us — they are good quality and we have noticed a difference in noise and heat transference. We know we are saving energy as well, since the air conditioner comes on considerably less and we are able to keep our house cool during these 100+ degree days, where before our air conditioner struggled and failed to adequately cool our home. All said, we are happy with the products and service provided by Diamond Head Windows and recommend them to others.

Took 4 calls and 4 confimed appointment and they decided not to come. The last guy decided it was not worth his time to even to come give an estimate because i could not tell him that i purchase the window before i actually got the quote. I would be scared if you have an issue with the work to get anyone to come repair it.

So we were first approached by a non-​pushy street marketer for Diamond Head Windows and Doors. After speaking with him, we scheduled an appointment. We met with the sales representative at the scheduled appointment time. Very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Second appointment was set and made and once again we were contacted on time and business was taken care of as promised. Our windows were ordered and date for install was made. The installers arrived early, a whole day, but that was okay and they promptly got started. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Two days for 18 windows as promised. The windows look awesome. I work outside in the heat all day and I arrived home the day after the windows were installed and I actually thought the wife had ran the A/​C. Nope, just great replacement windows, providing a huge difference and cooler inside my house. We can actually open our blinds and see the outside world!!! Windows are beautiful, clean and sharp looking!!! We are 110% satisfied. Today, I watched a person get out of their car and grab a brochure from our lawn sign. I really wished I could have spoken with her and showed her the end result of a great product. I would definitely recommend Diamond Head Windows and Doors for not only a great replacement window but solely based on a great overall experience including a friendly staff and install team!

I usually find fault with various contractors I’ve used in the past however I can only say positive things about this company. We talked to Todd who did the initial visit and measurements. We decided to replace all of the windows in our house from a metal framed window to Amerimax vinyl windows last week. I did my research and felt these were the best window/​value I could find. I knew from my research that proper installation can make or break the efficiency of a window. I was also worried about damage to the house. Well I needn’t have worried. The installers were very professional. They did no damage anywhere. They put up my curtains, put things away they moved and cleaned away any debris as though the windows had always been there. They also kept to their time schedule of complete in two days-​amazing. The only thing is that now I really notice how bad my old windows were. –one happy customer.
