Espinosa Lawn Maintenance

espinoza landscaping maintain the yards is best decision we have ever made. we have large yards with many trees and plants. the yard has mever looked this good in over 40 years’ martin is a good guy, and we really like and trust him. very happy!

After letting our last gardener go I searched Unilocal and found Espinosa landscaping, the owner, Martin, was able to come out that same day and give me a an estimate… $ 80 a month for weekly services of the front and backyard which was a very reasonable price because our yard is quite large. I accepted and they started that Thursday. They keep the lawn looking great and keep the bushes trimmed back the way I like. They’re very friendly too, my two year old loves watching them through the windows when they come and they always wave and play with him.
I also had Martin come out several times to fix and upgrade our sprinklers. We had a lot of broken heads and one clogged pipe and he got the whole system in working order and even set up the timer for me. My son also kept tripping on the heads in the backyard and breaking them so Martin changed the pipes to a flexible hose type and lowered the heads. Now with the new flexible piping nothing breaks if it’s tripped on and everything stays in working order.
I’m very happy with the service we have received and continue to receive. I’m so glad I stumbled across Espinosa Landscaping here on Unilocal :-)

Like Kara, I have the same two guys that come out… A few years ago they came weekly– now it’s every other week. The difference is that I rent, and no matter how much I complain to the property management company and the owner– nothing happens. These guys do a mow, blow and go. Once every two months they trim the hedge in the front yard, but as of this summer my neighbor and I have taken it upon ourselves to do it.
They have NEVER fertilized the lawn or sprayed anything. My next door neighbor’s (same property owner and landscape service) front lawn is around 60% crabgrass and 10% dead. I spray and fertilize mine.
I’ve asked them politely numerous times if they could trim the bushes on the side and in back– they basically said they don’t do that.
There is debris and leaves that over three years old in the back. So when the skunks and the tree rats starting use the back yard as their new hangout, I started clearing it myself. This includes the foliage on the side of the house that was growing into the eaves and into the attic.
Hate to have my first review on Unilocal be a negative one, but I’m so frustrated I had to post this review.

The same two guys come weekly to cut, edge and occasionally fertilize (or something like that) the lawn. They also trim bushes that may be in the way, growing over the lawn and spray something from time to time on the weeds to keep them under control. The guys are friendly (one even sings if he thinks no one is home) and there’s never a mess. They tolerate my annoying yappy dogs and when the leaves pile up on the concrete, they blow them away.
Although I pay for just the lawn mowing and a good price compared to other quotes I’ve gotten and companies I have used, I feel like it’s those other personal touches they contribute that make it all the better. One day I wanted all the bushes trimmed. I thought I knew how I wanted them and gave him my instructions. But the lawn guy gently suggested other ways to trim them that look nice too and are better for the types of plants they are. I like that they care and you will too if you give them a shot.

Shame on me for not getting a Unilocal account before now. But it’s never too late to do the right thing and the right thing is to share some of the great businesses that have provided excellent service for me through the years. My first review is for Espinosa Lawn Maintenance based in R.C. Martin and his crew have kept our front yard looking great for the past three+ years. They are always prompt, friendly and professional.
