Hot Dots Screen Printing and Embroidery

Hot Dots does the best T-​shirt printing Ive ever found! Ive had Ed print everything from 4 color silk screen designs on black shirts, to his hi tech full color sublimation prints on white shirts, always great attention to detail and quality!

I was recommended to this place after I called the Cotton Shoppe as they were rather backed up with orders.
Ed seemed nice on the phone. I told him I needed two shirts made for some friends that are graduating from the same program with me from Sac State. He asked me to email him what I needed. I did. I attached a word document with a two sentence statement. Needed it done exactly as it was typed, in black letters, centered, impact font. I also put the following at the bottom of my email after my name and address:

I am a safety nerd.
Fear Me.)
The shirts read as follows when I showed up to pick up my order:
I am a safety nerd.
Fear me.)
A. The text was not centered.
B. Me was not capitalized
C. There is a right parenthesis
So, I pointed this out and showed him the attached word document from my email I sent him. He told me he couldn’t open word files. On top of that, he said he put exactly what I put in the email on the t-​shirt. I can see where that might be a little confusing but common sense would have noticed that there was a note in parenthesis (count them a right and a left) and that maybe a call would have been warranted at this point in time.
Nope. He was quick to blame me, rude and unapologetic. No offer to change it, no suggestions. Nothing. I pointed out that the «m» was not capitalized and he said, «well, other than that, what else is wrong?» Um… are we looking a the same t-​shirt of have I plum lost my g-​damned mind?
I called Cali Tees in Old Sac and drove all the way back from Rancho Cordova. He got my t-​shirts made in no time. They weren’t what I wanted but they were good enough.
I also called the Cotton Shoppe and told them what happened as they recommended this guy. They apologized and I appreciated it. They apologized. What a concept! I will take my business there next time. You should too.
