Wells was an amazing company to work with for our new pool construction. They listened to what we wanted in a pool and created a design that was beyond our expectations. The construction of the pool was an easy process and quick. We are so happy with the pool and they made our dream of having a pool a reality. We couldn’t ask for anything more. WE highly recommend Wells Pools.

Wells Pools just built our pool, waterfall, firepit, hot tub, awning and outdoor kitchen and we are so happy with everything they built. They are the best top notch pool company, so easy to work with, so professional, and no hidden charges. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Wells Pools just completed a pool for us, together with a stamped concrete patio, steps, and walkway. Nick put together a great design for us, providing a plan and making modifications to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. Rex stayed on top of the job for us, and the concrete crew he assigned to the job did top-​notch work. This company operates with a nice family vibe, and we recommend their services without hesitation.

Our beautiful pool was just completed by Wells Pools. We are so pleased with everything from start to finish and all of our friends and neighbors are saying things like, «WOW», «OMG, it’s Beautiful» and «It’s Perfect». These are also our feelings exactly! We didn’t even know if we could fit a pool in our small backyard but Joel designed it so that it not only looks like it was made to fit there but it makes our yard look larger. Joel was very helpful through that process and then Rex, the owner, was there in our backyard for every step of the construction. Kim, his wife, was a joy to talk to, email and text and I did that ALOT! I’ve never even met her and I’m going to be sad that this is the end of the construction and we won’t be seeing Rex and talking to Kim anymore. We feel like we had our pool built by good friends, not an impersonal company. There was not a single hitch in the whole construction process even with the recent rain, the process carried on. Every single contractor with their crews that came to our house to do their specific jobs were friendly and answered questions and did great jobs! Everything went so smoothly that there was no inconvenience to us at anytime. We were absolutely amazed that they completed the project from start to finish in 5 weeks. We would have no hesitation to recommend Wells Pools to anyone. Thank you so much Rex, Kim and Joel for making our dream come true!

We moved into a brand new house in Sept 2014 and the yard was just simply dirt. We met multiple contractors to discuss possible plans for pool and landscape design. We received 3 bids (including Wells Pools). Unlike the other contractors, Joel took the time to take full and accurate measurements of the yard as well as the exterior of the house details. While other contractors come in with a typical blueprint (printed on whitepaper) showing lines of where the pool would go and nothing more, Joel of Wells Pools presented his vision for the entire backyard including the pool design using a live 3D application that helped us visualize how things will look from every angle possible before it was even built. He was even able to show us the views from each window in the house facing the pool which really amazed us. His attention to details and our requirements was superior. Once we signed the contract the project was started in a timely fashion. Rex; the project manager who took over execution was extremely professional and was on top of the project (so was the crew). We were thrilled with the end product matching the vision that Joel created in his proposed design. Wells Pools staff was also great in following up on things that required attention after the project was completed. We would highly recommend them and would use them again if we ever needed to build another pool :)

We love the pool that Wells built for us. It turned out beautifully! Nick did a great job with the design and he, Kim and Rex were wonderful at keeping us updated during the process. They were also very prompt in responding to our concerns and took care to make sure we were happy with the finished product. We would definitely go with Wells again!

We met with 2 companies, Wells and Geremia. They both came back with very similar designs, but Wells had a much better price and a bit more added into the package. We also decided we wanted salt water, which Geremia was not offering. Everyone we dealt with at Wells was awesome. Joel, Rex and Kim were all amazing. Once the project started (on the exact day they told us) everything was super easy. Communication was excellent, timing was perfectly managed and we are left with the most amazing backyard!!! I expected a few hiccups or missteps just because of the scale of this project, but nope, we had zero!!! We built a huge pool, oversized hot tub, enormous deck and outdoor kitchen. Everything turned out better than expected and we are loving our new resort like paradise of a backyard!!! I would (and will) recommend Wells Pools to everyone!!!

I had my pool and spa built last year by Wells Pools. I met with three pool companies. Joel really listened to what I wanted. The crews were always great and professional. Rex was on site often once the job started. Kim, Rex and Joel were always responsive and addressed my concerns. They explained everything to me during the whole process. They still respond immediately when I have questions.
I love my pool and spa. My yard is now a beautiful haven. I am very happy that I chose Wells Pools to build my pool and spa.

Wells Pools and all their staff are awesome. They designed and built us a beautiful pool in a very challenging backyard. Joel did the design and the finished product looks just like the 3D pictures. We have had some problems with our Fire and Water feature but Rex has been on top of it every time I call. Kim is very helpful on the phone and Rex or Stephan when they come over are just great to work with. We love our pool and the service we have had from them.

Wells Pools did an outstanding job on our pool and I highly recommend them to build yours! From the first meeting with Joel, to the finish they have been extremely professional and courteous and hardworking! If I had any concerns, they were quick to respond! We love our new pool, it was just put in not even six weeks from me writing this post and my husband and I both said it turned out better than we even imagined!

With California in a drout you would think a pool company would be jumping at the chance to build a pool seeing as if we don’t get rain soon, we may not even be allowed to fill our pools. NOT THE CASE HERE! I was very disappointed with the lack of professionalism, organization, and punctuality demonstrated by this company and their sales representative Nick. Nothing but excuse after excuse in regards to a design plan and bid. After over a month of not hearing back and several phone calls later asking where the bid was, it was very easy to call a new number that answered on the other end as; Premier Pools. After one week of meeting with Premier I had a design to scale and a bid portfolio in hand and ready to go. I see from other comments, this company is known for excuses. We are what we do in this world and judging by the lack of professionalism here it is not saying much for this company nor are they representing themselves in a positive manner to attract future or potential clients. Don’t bother wasting your time here move on to a more reputable and punctual entity.

I almost didn’t go with Wells after reading these reviews, but I am so happy that I went with my gut. From the beginning of the process to they end, I had nothing but constant communication. I always knew what was happening and they moved at lightning speed. Was beyond my expectations.
Nick F. came out and designed a beautiful pool for us. He listened to our ideas and made several adjustments until it was exactly right. He was very detailed and was onsite daily to make sure that the design was carried out flawlessly.
This is a family owned operation and all of their subs and employees were quality. We had notched rock set in and jump rocks as well as a waterfall. I didn’t want a waterfall mountain but something subtle that was more natural looking and it’s exactly what I got. Each rock was handpicked and I couldn’t be happier.
I spoke with owners Kim and Rex quite often and they were willing to work with me and never hesitated to comply with minor changes. I definitely felt that my satisfaction was a priority to them and it made the experience that much better.
The pool is now done – took 5−6weeks and I can’t wait to use it.

If you want to do business with a local family business that has integrity and takes pride in their work, this is the company to go with. This company takes the time required to build great pools! This is not a slick chain with a pushy sales guy, this a genuinely nice group of people doing their very best to please everyone and produce a product they and their clients can be proud of. This spring the Wells family and their knowledgeable team made our dream yard come true and we feel lucky to have landed on them. Be patient with this company and you won’t have any regrets.

We bought our home in the summer of 2013 with an eye towards a large spa or a small pool as I need to do daily water therapy for health issues. In January of 2014 we decided to find a contractor and get going to beat the rush and the impending water restrictions. I researched many contractors online and just felt good about Wells Pools and made an appointment with Joel to come out. He arrived early, we saw him waiting in his car so as to not be rude, and invited him in, and discussed our needs with him. It was at this point he described a «Spool» or a pool which is 10′ x 15′ and 4500 gallons which perfectly met our needs ! We decided to keep it 4.5′ deep and add a 15′ bench for entertaining, put in Solar Heating with a back up Gas Heater for year round use for my therapy and all the latest energy saving equipment from Pentair including variable speed pumps saving as much as 80% electricity and going Salt Water which we love. Plus I can bring it to Spa temperature of 105 degrees with the gas heater in about 2 hours. We also added a 5′ x 5′ Gas Fire Pit and about 900 square feet of cement deck. It transformed our wreck of a backyard into a resort paradise in about 6 weeks flying through the inspection process with no problems. Both Kim and Rex, the owners spoke to me daily and Rex was onsite several days a week making sure things were top quality. We get nothing but compliments and love our Wells Spool and Fire Pit Area and Highly Recommend Them to anyone looking for a hard working honest company that keeps their word. Oh, and the best part, our energy bills are very manageable and did not go up nearly as much as our friends who have pools did thanks to the Solar and the variable speed pumps… Financing was also a snap online through LightStream Bank at a low percentage rate just for pool buyers.

I met with both Kim and Rex during the Auburn home show. They have very impressive pools, and many of their designs look great. I was pleased enough that I decided to forgo a previously selected contractor, and instead have Wells install a new pump and perform a saltwater conversion. I emailed them a few days after the show, but got no response. I followed up, and finally received a response. (First clue)
My appointment was set up for the next week. After taking off work early, I got to the house and waited for the afternoon appointment. Luckily I glanced at my phone and noticed I had gotten an email, it was Wells Pools notifying me that the appointment was canceled, and they would not be coming out. Reason stated ‘we are too busy’ and overbooked.
In a subsequent email they did apologize, and mentioned they had a person they could recommend to come in an do the job. That’s not acceptable, nor does it reflect well on the person they are recommending. I had no experience with that person, nor is it appropriate to try and substitute another contractor for a job/​time that had already been lined up. What would have made sense is to NOT make an appointment with me and suggest the other contractor at that time.
This was very disappointing. My job may have not been the largest, but I had cash on hand. I wouldn’t have even bothered to write this review had they simply been up front a week ago and said that they could just not book another appointment due to pre-​exisiting jobs. But to go up to the late afternoon of the appointment and cancel by email? Not even a phone call?
I would like to say that my case is an isolated incident. But reading the other reviews it is clear that while they may do quality work, and impress some clients they lack organization and follow through with others.
They are very nice people, but the inability to properly manage appointments needs to be worked out.

There appears to have been a serious disconnect between myself and Wells Pool. It was my impression based on my emails (that I’ve retained and reviewed after the owners comments) that I was pretty clear that I wanted them (Wells) to come out and do the job. I specifically stated in my emails that I liked dealing local, their rates were good and I wanted it installed before my family arrived. This was agreed upon, as was the date and time.
Regardless of the scope of the job, it is still not appropriate to cancel a job that day, by email w/​out so much as a call. As stated in my earlier review, the work they do is high quality. Unfortunatly the coordination of quoting and visiting customers and doing the jobs didn’t work out.

We hired Wells Pools a couple of summer back. They were very professional and accommodating. They cost a little more than Premier or some of the larger companies, but it was «WELLS» worth it. Sorry, couldn’t resist. The family was very involved in every phase of the project. They were always available for questions and addressed all concerns before they became concerns. We highly recommend Wells to anyone looking to install a pool.

YIKES! OMG! Steer clear very unprofessional. We had a pool bid for our house and Joel came out first to do the bid and then NO contact from Wells for months and then months later suddenly without warning some strange dude appeared at our door saying he was there to measure from Wells I laughed but held it in because it was a strange dude LOL!
Totally unprofessional and by far the worst experience we had with pool contractor in the past 10 years.
A person doesn’t have to take my word for it just give them a call request a bid and enjoy the ride.
I have great sense of humor so this sort of nonsense I laugh about. I was thankful for the others posts here and also for the fact we had this happen BEFORE we even considered hiring them so yay that they sucked from the beginning.
