Established in 1998.

ABG was founded in 1998, in response to the need of affordable advertising programs for small and mid-​sized businesses. Prior to this time, local or multi-​location regional advertisers were bearing a greater cost burden of any advertising campaign compared to their national competitors. Market forces directed these advertisers to compete with national but without national advertising experience or volume rate structures. Local Advertisers were losing the battle.

ABG drew upon the strengths of each individual advertiser to create a combined presence. These businesses ranged from all industries with the same common end goal; gain market share at the best negotiated value using the most effecting marketing tools. ABG systematically began a process of renegotiation with each major advertising vendor in the local and regional marketplaces to understand the business model and value the strength that this model represented.
