Option One Plumbing & Rooter

This is not an honest business; please do not call them. They offer these prices simply to lure you in for a quick repair and will attempt to create a scenario to stick you with a major repair or remodeling service by the end. My example: shower did not drain.
1) they used a plumbing snake through the bathroom air vent (didn’t work)
2) used the snake on the clean-​out on the side of the house (didn’t work)
3) sent a camera down the main because there was supposed blockage (didn’t find anything)
4) used the snake through the shower drain (snake was too big)
5) borrowed my small-​size plumbing snake for the shower (couldn’t get through the blockage)
6) Finally, quoted me $ 5,800 dollars to go through the concrete and replace the pipes; and conveniently had an app on his work Ipad called ‘Ygrene’ to show me finance options during the quoting process.
End Result/​Summary:
–I fixed the shower the following day with a PLUNGER, myself.
–Do not call them, they are not a genuine business.

Used option one plumbing service to find out that they are way over priced and do not return your calls. Brandon supposedly is the manager but is never in his office or will he call back or come out to the property in question. Had a new water heater put in and was charged 2500.00, they left and forgot to turn on the water, had to call the water department at 9:00 pm to turn on water the house. Besides that later in the month I smell ed gas to find out they didn’t change the shut off value which was leaking gas. They now want to charge me 350.00 to install a pressure regulator, gas company said that should have been included. They make you believe they are going to take all your problems and charge you top dollar and then they keep adding to your bill.

Back in October I had a sewage back up I called option one they came to unclog it for me. yes I have a history of plumbers at my house but they’ve all unclogged my line, so I call them. they run the snake hit the hard spot, they get a camera send it in they show me the problem and the guy in charge says. you need a jetter, that’ll get rid of that I repeatedly ask so your sure that’ll get rid of my problem he says it should i ask how much he says $ 830.
That’s a huge commitment but he told me it’ll get rid of my problem I talk it over with my wife. He had me convinced it’ll solve our problem and it’ll last 2yrs, I talk my wife into it 4 hrs later and 5 guys there plus the owner my line was still backed up.
I basically threw $ 830 down that sewage drain, I trusted their professional expertise when they camered the line that they know if they would solve the problem. Owner sits me down tells my options, replace the whole line to the house or spot repair. whole line was $ 7600, spot repair was $ 2000 but, they were going to credit me for my waste of money. so spot repair was going to be $ 1200.
So not wanting to spend that much anymore I decided to do it myself. Only reason I gave them 2 stars is that they told me what to do when I repair it. and the owner told me after I repaired it to give him a call or text and he would camera the line and jet it for free. which I thought was nice so on nov 9^th I fixed my sewer (which only costed me $ 110) I sent a message to the owner and he said he’d scheduled me in, no message.
Dec 2^nd I send a message saying he never got back to me he says, I forgot about you then ask if I’m home this wk and I said yes and he says let me see if I can fit you in, nothing. Dec 14^th, I say I’m still waiting he says call my office and tell them to call me and make an appt for a jetter and camera. so I do tell the receptionist what the owner said and that he and I had a deal, I told her to call him and I scheduled my appt.
The day of the appt they call me to tell me they are on there way, I tell them how the owner and I had a deal for this, do you know about it cause I told the receptionist to call the owner. The employee says I know of no deal let me call the office and call you back. He does 45mins later and says we can’t get ahold of the owner, I said well when you do give me a call back or reschedule he says alright, never heard from them again, I shouldn’t have to call to remind them of pending business

Option One has been a great plumbing resource for us! Recently they put in a tankless water heater for us and did a great job! They were reasonable and were very professional.

Called them early in the morning for a stopped up bathroom sink and they were out to the house same day during the time window scheduled. Resolved the problem quickly and for the quoted price.

I used their service six months ago and they just charged my credit card again and I never used them since that time so be careful about using their service because I don’t know why they would do that but now I have to contact the bank and the better business bureau to fix this

They came and they fixed! Reasonable time slots and reasonable time to fix. Professional and timely. I was happy to refer them to a friend.

Ive used these several time (unfortunately)and every time i call them, they arrive before the eta im given. I will continue to use them. Very friendly customer service and the workers that have come out are great.

My water heater was only 2 years old and wouldn’t stay lit. Mike Lanning was my serviceman and he was knowledgeable and professional. He got me a new high name brand heater and installed it perfect. Thank you for great service and being honest! Mike you the best!

Shady service for a simple clogged drain repair. Quoted time to arrive at the house was 1100am arrived after 100pm. The plumber claimed that this was not just a simple clogged drain and that there was a «leak» in the drain that might be on the north side in the house. This would result into an extremely unnecessary excavation of the drain that might be on the north side, if not they tear up the other side. There quote for this was over $ 3400…this was a pretty hefty amount for a simple problem we thought we had. Called my dad to speak with there Sup and explain the whole situation in thorough detail and after that conversation the clog was miraculously unclogged. Hmm… so after all this talk about tearing up our house the simple problem was resolved. Whomp whomp.
The next day we had another plumber go out and diagnose all the plumbing. Everything was perfectly fine. –_​–
Shady stuff, praying on people that just need a small problem fixed. Thanks for ruining the reputation of honest people in this field of work.

I used to be loyal to this company. For some years now, they were the only company I would call when I needed help with any plumbing issues. Times have changed and so has this company’s service. Their service has really gone down the drain, no pun intended. I called for a toilet installation. First off, Brittany, the office clerk needs to decide if she’s answering her home phone or work phone. Her lack of professionalism kills customer interest off the bat. Some days she’s friendly and some days she’s got major attitude issues. Strike one! Second, I make an appointment for a the next day and get scheduled a 11am appointment. I don’t get a call until 5pm the next day and the guy asks if he can come back the next day. Strike two! Next day schedule is 9am. I take off from work so that I can meet the guy. He calls at 8am and tells be that he can’t make it until 11 — noon. Final strike! 2 days later, I get a call from Brittany about an open work order, asking if I want it closed. REally?! no concern about customer satisfaction or wondering why I decided to go with another company.
These Unilocal reviews says it all. I’ve been a victim too many times of these companies on their way down that I have no patience in wasting my hard earned dollar. Good luck to all.

If I could choose zero stars I would. These guys do not do what they say. While at my house one of their guys fell and drug their plumbing snake down my stair leaving gouges in my hardwood. I was promised multi times they would take care of it if I gave them an estimate for the repairs as requested. Now every time I call I get the run around and the person who answers the phone tells me that Adam will call me, Brandon will call me. Obviously this never happens.
Gonna file a small claims against them so I can get the issue resolved.
Also the day of the repair nearly 6 – 8 people shows up to sell me services above and beyond what I needed. The first guy showed up around 8am. Finally after multiple phone calls and groups of 1 people selling hero programs and other stuff the guy who damaged my steps showed up around 6pm to snake the drain.

Thank goodness for David from Option One plumbing. I had two other plumbers come to the house to diagnose and fix the issue for my kitchen sink backing up — both unsuccessful. David came in, assessed and fixed the problem. David was professional, knowledgeable and great at explaining the actual cause of the problem.
Don’t waste your time on other plumbers. Always make them your first choice — Option One.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They are criminals and have made a fraudulent $ 1900 charge on my card. They fixed an issue in my home and I charged it on my debit card– charge went through and everything was fine. Then a month later a $ 1900 charge appeared on my debit card statements that I DID NOT make. I haven’t used their service since that first time and they claim it was charged for a service where I do not live and for a home owned by someone I do not know. They are not very helpful at the moment to get me my money back and the person in charge has yet to call me back.
update — they got me my money back after a few days– but i am firm in my belief it was incompetent to have made this VERY LARGE ($ 1900) mistake in the first place.

Brennan from Option One Plumbing in Rancho was off the hook. I just moved into a new Lennar home and had plumbing issues. Help and he was there. Very thorough, honest, and professional. Need I say I have had plenty of bad plumbers and he goes right to the top of my list on great plumbing companies. Even informed me of my tankless water heater and that it has to be serviced once a year. The builder never told me that. Guess they wanted me to buy a new one come two years after move in. You can’t go wrong. Don’t even consider another plumbing company. Put them on your smartphone contacts. You are doing yourself a favor.

More like… Option None!!! Made an appointment they scheduled between 4 – 6 on a Tuesday. Rushed home from work to be here on time. They said they would call 20 minutes prior to showing up, but after 2 ½ hours of sitting around and hearing nothing, I eventually just had to call and cancel. Unfortunately most of the reviews on here are accurate when it comes to lack of professionalism.

Not worth a review, but here you go.
–4 hours late
–Walked to the problem w/​o even looking into the sink or pipes and said $ 300
–Said the problem was something else entirely that we did not need
–Tried to ask for $ 50 services fee after being late and incompetent (DON’T PAY ANYTHING)
–Called another plumber to actually fix it for $ 200 less
Just don’t bother with these crooks.

I love option one plumbing. No other plumber in Rancho Cucamonga would clean a sewer for $ 49.50.

Matt and Josh just left my house, these guys are awesome. Professional, prompt, very knowledgeable and didn’t try to up sell anything. But they did make a few suggestions. Thanks Matt u guys are my new plumbers.

I hate leaving bad reviews… but after trying to contact their Manager several times for an explanation. Everytime I called the Manager was not available and didnt return my calls

Charged me $ 99 and did nothing — had to call another plumber afterwards
Told me that I need a mainline sewer repair for $ 2800 — but another plumber service did not agree?
I have used AnyDrain Plumbers for about 8 years, but since OptionOne took over their Service went down the Drain!
Big time!
I called them to clear my slow drains.
They said someone would be there by 4pm to 6pm
The Plumber never showed up, I started calling back to get an ETA.
They said the Plumber is running behind.
The Plumber finally called me after 8pm.
So I rescheduled for the next day.
I was not really mad about that, They are normally very busy since they prices are low.
The Plumber was ontime the next day…
I told him the slow drains were probably due to Roots in Mainline, I have had Anydrian\OptionOne take
care of this 3 – 4 times in the last 4years.
The plumber agreed and used a larger rooter via the Roof Vent,
He said it was going to be $ 99.
He attempted to clear the drain, but said we had too many roots and its damaging/​twisting up his Mainline Rooter?!
I have had them come by 4 times prior and had no issues… so I was very shocked and suspicious
He also said his cable was stuck in our Pipes, and the only solution was to run a camera and also needed to dig-​up the mainline sewer in the front lawn?
By then I told him please give me an estimate and I will get a second opinion.
He kept on saying his line was stuck and there was no other option!!!
I was calm, but starting to get angry.
Eventually he got his Cable out of the Vent, and he charged me $ 99 and said I need a new main line $ 2800 or more.
With my drains still slow… the next day I called a Reputable plumber off Unilocal with very Good Reviews…
They were ontime, and they cleared the drain in 15 minutes, No Drama!!! They said there was some roots, but no big deal??!
I was surprised.
They charged me $ 175, since it was a roof vent.
I asked him if I needed a new main line repair, he said no, he recommended a Clean-​out instead $ 800 so plumber doesn’t go on the roof to access and clear the main line.
Unless you like a lot of Drama, constantly calling for an ETA, and getting really really angry… Look Elsewhere!
