Specialties

Problem Solved! is closely aligned with 21st-century learning as we provide your child with a much deeper understanding of the concepts through problem-solving experiences and strategically organized collaborations between students. I have been teaching this way for many years and there is a remarkable difference in a student’s ability to retain the skill when they have learned it through problem solving, as opposed to just being directly taught the skill. Whether your child is working above, at, or below grade level, the sessions we provide will surely challenge them and give them the tools necessary to become the leaders in their classrooms and to stand out among the crowd in the changing job force. Problem Solved also provides Professional Development to teachers at NO COST!

History

Established in 2014.

I’ve spent countless hours educating my peers on the great benefits the students will get as they progress through the grades utilizing the strategies that the Common Core Standards support, such as problem solving and communication. I’ve spent the last 16 years as a teacher and Math Coordinator educating teachers, parent and students in the area of problem solving in elementary and middle school math. So, as we find ourselves in the middle of the first year of the implementation of the Common Core Standards in California, I felt moved to leave my career as a public school teacher to be available full time to support parents and their children in the mathematics skills necessary to be successful in this 21st century, specifically: problem solving and communication with deep conceptual understanding. When students learn the concepts by formulating their own strategies and using different pathways to get their solution, math becomes exciting, fun, and the skills much easier to retain.

Meet the Business Owner

Matt H.

Business Owner

Hello, I’m Matt Haber.

I have a master’s degree in Education Administration and an Administrative credential. I worked as a teacher and Math Coordinator for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 16 years providing professional development to fellow teachers, principals, and directors district wide. I have decided to separate from the public school system in order to better support parents, students and teachers in the Rancho Cucamonga area and surrounding communities. This is the first year the new Common Core Standards are being implemented in the California schools, and there is so much confusion among all parties involved. Problem Solved! is closely aligned with 21st-century learning as we provide your child with a much deeper understanding of the concepts through problem-solving experiences and strategically organized collaborations between students. I have been teaching this way for many years and there is a remarkable difference in a student’s ability to retain the skills.
