Studio 1

My 9-​year old daughter’s school had portraits taken by Studio 1. It was the type where you pay and then the portraits get sent home later. Well, a month after I paid, I received my daughter portraits and she looked terrible! There was a huge glare on her glasses, the rim of the glasses was cutting through here eyes and her entire face was angled downward. I was unable to contact the studio by phone, so I finally resorted to emailing them. Several weeks later I received a response stating they were so sorry for the bad photos and they would be glad to retake them at their studio 29 miles away from the school. Then they explain they are only available from 2−4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. School is out at 3:30. How am I supposed to get my daughter there before 4pm? So I ask if I can return the photos for a refund instead, since I’m not willing to take my daughter out of school early to retake thus horrid photos and now I can’t even get them to respond at all. Never again!

Horrible company for school portraits. I have three kids who attended elementary school and every year I buy extensive portrait packets for them. This year the school tried Studio 1 for the school portraits. After picture day I didn’t receive any pictures of my kids. I contacted studio 1 so that I can take a look at the pictures and possibly place my orders. I was told that They do not allow parents to look at the picture before they purchase. You actually have to place an order and buy the pictures before you ever see them.
I recommended to my kids school to never use this portrait company again. It’s better to work with the company that provides you with a proof of the picture before you place your order.

Unfortunately we could not use them for our teams photos… George does not have any customer service skills, each time I spoke with him on the phone to try to get a confirmation he was very short, argumentative and rude. Instead of trying to move forward with making a reservation he continued to try to dispute with me why he didn’t get back to me etc. in which he kept trying to make it seem like it was lack of communication on my end. Long story short he was rude and we just could not get past that, I would rather spend a few more dollars and deal with a company who will not argue with me and make me feel like I am doing them a favor, I think he forgot that in his business we pay him for his services. I will NOT recommend them to ANYONE.

The photography session was great! I went taking my cap and gown and my yearbook picture there for chaffey high school. The photographer helped entertain others and made sure you looked good. The store plan is weird, as before you go into the studio, you have to go through their warehouse. Also there is a cute dog there when i came at the reception.

This studio is amazing! Great customer service and the people are super friendly. When my son was little his right front tooth got knocked out by a baseball and the new one is not the same color and they fixed the color and made his smile shine for his senior portraits! We are so please with the outcome on all the other photos that were taken! Will defiantly be back! Can’t wait to get my pics back! Super excited!

The poses my son was put in ended up looking crooked and when I went to view the photos at their «professional photo viewing» I was purely disappointed with the pictures that were taken. The background the studio uses was terrible and looked unprofessional. IF YOUR STUDENT IS TAKING THEIR SENIOR PORTRAIT HERE BE PREPARED FOR A CHEAP AND UNPROFESSIONAL LOOKING PHOTO.

studio 1 is the worst photographers i have ever encountered!
not only did they mess up my son’s senior pictures, we had to return for a second time to mess it all up again!
now i go to view the graduation pictures and there is one shot and its blurry.
this is the worst experience ever!
they use digital cameras and supposedly are professionals… i am going to do my best to convince rchs to find another company!

My child took pictures for his kinder promotion. I volunteered to help with kinder and sixth grade promotion pictures. I was suppose to recipient be a discount on my picture package. When I called the studio about my refund it took for every to get a home of an actual person. Then when I did I was told they send a refund with the picture package when it was delivered to the school. Well today I received the pictures with no refund. Now I have called about 5 times and I am on hold currently. Each time I call I am caller #3 then once I finally get to caller #1 it keeps me on hold then sudden it says the person you are trying to reach is not available if you would like to leave a message. I have left 2 messages. The automated service says your call is important to us. Yet there actions have shown that’s not the case.

Studio 1 handled the photography for our Little League’s Team photos and individual photos this year. Picture days for sports leagues can be very hectic and their photographers were calm, composed and friendly.
As the team mom of my son’s team this year, I created a pickle with our team’s group photo and our make up date.
I contacted Studio 1 to see if I could rectify my error in any way. Well George with Studio 1 replied to me RIGHT away. He was so pleasant and helpful on the phone and he went above and beyond to help me. He graciously assisted me and I really didn’t expect that. I am so grateful.

I have twin boys in different classes at school. Both boys received their individual school pictures the same day. A few months later one of my kids received his school class picture but the other one didn’t. The teacher who’s class he was in at the time of the picture taking said one of her students received two class pictures so she asked the mom to return it as it was probably ours. Well my son is not even on the school class picture that I paid for. I called and left 3 messages for the studio last week and they have yet to call me back and offer me an explanation of what happened, If they’re going to reprint the class picture, or where my refund is. Terrible service!

I live in Menifee, but my Son goes to a Rancho Cucamonga school. I am completely disillusioned by the lack of customer service provided by this Studio. First off I was told by the very unaccommodating receptionist Sylvia that my Son has to have his sitting done by July 8^th to make the yearbook for his senior picture… I questioned this on two separate occasions (over the phone) with her since it is completely ludicrous to have such an early deadline since yearbooks aren’t finalized till the middle of the school year. But completely unwilling were they to take the pictures later than July 8^th… oh and they only take your school on certain days. Why? No idea since when we went in the photographer took 2 seconds to pull off the cap & gown from a rolling rack with many other schools colors on it. Upon arrival, speaking to Greg, I could have brought my Son in at a later date, but they «request» (not) that we come in early since they have about 800 students they have to take pictures of… clearly not my problem. Also he confirmed the senior yearbook pages are submitted in November… so why the rush? I could speculate as to why they are not at all willing to provide good customer service but really who the heck knows what goes on in peoples heads.
The only reason I did not give only a 1 star rating was because of two of the photographers themselves… Chris & Pablo were very friendly, polite, understanding & personable (unlike Sylvia). I wouldn’t rate Greg as good or bad.
If you are looking for a great customer experience. I would not recommend this company.

Studio 1 provides you with the impression that because the schools use their studio for the school’s album, you have no options and you must buy their rediculously outdated and overpriced packages!
My daughter is a high school senior and, versus their overpriced packages with wallet sized and retarded second grade stickers, I asked if they would negotiate the Cap and Gown photo only. I wanted zero prints and only one photo on a CD by which he quoted me $ 175, «Non Negotoable!»

Um… Excuse me Sir?
You do realize we are in the year 2014 where nobody pays $ 135 minimum for wasted wallets for family members when we have Facebook now? I speak on behalf of the majority who want the CD so we can social media and individually print what we want. This place is arrogant because of the network the owner has with the schools, and the owner hid from us when I asked to speak with him offering no customer service because he thinks he’s JC Penny’s photo studio in the 90’s!
Parents…
Their are several other photography studios that appreciate your business, understand today’s consumer, and provide customer service at a fraction of the price.
Stay clear of this place and just take their graduating photo for the school and then go somewhere else.
This business is outright disrespectful to you and your hard earned dollar!

If I could give no stars I would. Unorganized !!! I would go somewhere else for senior pictures… Photographer good but girls at desk are dumb!!!

Thanks so much to James Jr. for going above and beyond! I needed major help with our yearbook and he was extremely helpful and patient. He stayed after hours during our phone conferences & face-​to-​face meeting, and even helped me with editing the rough & final drafts. A huge «thank you!!» to his amazing dedication.

1. Studio 1 does not offer Al A Carte options, you must buy whatever package they offer.
2. If you do not pay for the photos at the time of the photos being taken you will be charged a $ 7.00 late fee., which they do not tell you about while filling out the form. I was told not to pay for the photos at the photo taking time but to call on Monday and purchase the photos I wanted. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase what I wanted and also had to pay a late fee.
3. On top of all of this, the woman on the other line sounded like she was irritated with helping me and could not wait to get off the line. I was asking for her opinion on what package she believes would be best for what I wanted, since I was not able to order what I really wanted. As a business owner myself, I take time for each of my clients questions and do not make them feel as if I am annoyed by their inquisitions, especially when they are, essentially, paying my bills.
Big fail.

Studio one did school photos for my son’s play school. The picture came out terrible because it was done in front of a green screen but on the final picture there is a thin green outline around him and his hair looks terrible because they weren’t able to get any clean lines. I will seriously reconsider doing school pictures again especially if it’s by this studio and it’s in front of a green screen.
