I’ve been a semi regular here for quite some time. I discovered this place several years ago when I was looking for a sushi fix on a budget. My usual go to was B&F Sushi on Haven(not anymore– ownership change and now it’s blah). I’d seen this place on several occasions while visiting Phở Ha and decided to drop in. The service is friendly, the pricing is lovely, and the quality is good and consistent. They have an awesome happy hour and their lunch specials aren’t too shabby either. If you’re a «sushi snob» and are really particular, you might not like this place. From the reviews I’ve read of those who dislike it here, that’s the only reason I can see why someone would have issue– just picky with sushi. When I first came here, it was good for cheap sushi. But over the years, they’ve improved quite a bit and it’s up to par with quality stuff at pricier places. Personally, I’m not all that picky though. As long as the ingredients are there and the fish is fresh, I’m down. I can’t recall ever having issue with the food here though. I even bring friends in on occasion when we’re craving sushi and they’re all hooked. «When are we going to 909 sushi again??» Haha. Keep up the good work, guys. You know I heart you! Small side note– this place is good for people watching. I’ve seen some of the biggest characters at the sushi bar, chatting up with the sushi chefs. One of the more amusing moments was when Terry served up fresh octopus, which was still moving around, to a woman who didn’t seem to believe it was something he would do. Her reaction was priceless!

This is one of my favorite spots to get sushi. Everything is super tasty and reasonably priced especially if you go for happy hour. If you live in the area you must try this hidden gem.

We had the Mussel appetizers, the Seafood Ramen and a Red Dragon roll. Everything was delicious. The service was awesome. The hostess with glasses is very good at making sure you get all that you want. We will definitely be back for more.

First, GREAT customer service. Clean restroom. Decent eating area. Little bit dark, seems a little dirty in there, clutter and walls are a bit old. Ordered the spicy pork ramen because I needed a ramen fix. Decided to try their ramen here. I was a bit disappointed in the taste. Very basic. The pork itself was great. Broth was ok. No richness that I was looking for, and seemed to be store bought noodles but what can I expect for a 10 dollar bowl of ramen. It’s decent, but rather travel to my normal place for ramen for couple bucks more. I really really enjoyed their POKIHANDROLL! Amazing POKI. Has all the great flavors. Suggest giving that a try. My girlfriend ordered the deep fried spicy tuna. It’s just tuna only. It was ok, not the best but not the worst. I will be back one day to try the other things on the item.

I’m a fan of the healthy bowl, ramen and calamari. I’m also a fan of the afternoon lady servers. We dine in during lunch hour once-twice a month. Prices are reasonable. I like that they have placements, moist towelettes and edamame. Clean coed restroom and dining area. They seldom gets very busy which is a plus to us as we don’t like the wait time. Most importantly — CONSISTENCY.

Went here one day I was madly craving ramen. In a pinch, it was pretty good. Didn’t give a whole lot of meat, but still yummy. Ordered some sushi too and the portion was huge! Had to take a lot home bc I was pretty stuffed after the ramen and a few rolls. One of the better places I’ve been to in the area. Like I said, when you got a craving, it’ll satisfy the itch.

Their food taste good. Service is ok! Their chicken katsu are too dry and just a few pieces in there~feels like French fries in there~ the udon noodles are tasty good~their sushi are cheaper than others because they use those fake crab meat in the middle and make it really big~it’s not a bad place to eat variety Japanese food~but if you really pesky about the sushi~then u may try some other store~

I had the $ 6.99 lunch special tofu bowl which included a small serving of edamame for the table to share, a bowl of miso soup and a large bowl with rice, salad greens, veggies and yummy crunchy tofu. Be advised if your vegan that there was some pieces of egg in the bowl too. It was all very delicious! I like how they give you 4 sauces to try with your bowl. All of them were good. I will definitely be coming back.

We came here for take out dinner one night and were pleasantly pleased. The space is a bit smaller than I anticipated, but not any smaller than other sushi establishments in the area. The workers were all very friendly and accommodating, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu without being pushy. It took about 15 minutes for our four rolls to be ready, and we were pleased. The shrimp tempura roll and calamari roll were inhaled by mother(who is a notoriously picky eater and often opposed to new foods, especially sushi), and my sister loved her beauty roll. I had the house tempura roll, and it was delicious, but please be advised that the little chili pepper next to their item names is not for show– it REALLY has a kick to it. Thankfully the spicy sauce was on the side and not drenched on my roll, because I could only handle it in moderation. But it was still very delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

So, we are back at this restaurant now. We spoke with the owner about our previous issue. Everything is great now and we are here regularly like the incident never happened. Here pretty much on a daily basis.

This is hands down my FAVORITESUSHIPLACE in Rancho Cucamonga, NONEBETTER! Moon the chef is amazing, he makes everything fresh and very good, and all their food is high quality. My favorite thing to get here is is the ‘health bowl’ lunch special, it’s SOWELLPRICED, everything under $ 10, can’t beat that for a healthy, awesome lunch. Wish I could go there everyday. The waitresses are nice, sometimes quite busy but that’s cause the place gets busy, otherwise they are the nicest and sweetest girls. The TV’s are cool, I like to sit at the bar cause they have this one always set on the Sci-Fi channel, and it shows fantasy movies, and it’s just an overall awesome athmosphere. If you want quality sushi, a great experience, and low prices, this is your place! Love it, cannot recommend it enough!

My Mom has bought me sushi from here a few times when I’ve visited her in Southern California. She’s even packed it in a cooler and brought some with her to my hotel near Anaheim twice. She always orders the mysterious HOUSESPECIAL, drenched in savory«house sauce» that’s similar to a tempura sauce, but a bit sweeter and with sesame seeds. She also buys the BEAUTYROLL and pours the same delicious«house sauce» over it. I was instantly hooked. After having her bring me this roll at least 5 times, I’ve come to crave it every time I visit her. She actually took my brother, my husband, and me there in person 3x as of today. and I recall how surprised I was the first time we went that this amazing sushi roll had come from such a small hole in the wall in the middle of a suburban strip mall. As of now, I’ve tried: * BEAUTYROLL — [4.5/5] * HOUSESPECIAL — [4/5] * SPICYTUNASALAD — [4.5/5] The tuna appeared unappealingly mashed when it arrived at the table. but it was really quite delicious. If I lived in the area, I’d come here frequently for this healthy dish.(And reduce the amount of dressing I use while checking Seafood Watch for updated mercury data.) * BAKEDCLAMS — [3/5] Not really a fan. My Mom and her husband love this dish so much they order it nearly every visit, but I find the creamy sauce a bit overpowering and you can barely taste the clam. The order came with 5 pieces when I went. * MONKEYBRAIN — [3.5/5] Good. * TOFUSTEAK — [3/5] This dish was not what I expected, as I anticipated something that tasted like agedashi tofu but with a concentrated sauce. This was a bit on the sweet side. Tofu was firm and not the silky kind. Overall a good dish. just not what I expected. * SASHIMIPLATTER Their fish isn’t as brightly colored as you might find in some other sushi places, but on the plus side it seems like they don’t use color added salmon. I’m not sure what grade of seafood they buy(though it’s no Zushi Puzzle), but nothing smelled even a tiny bit fishy and it seemed fresh. Their rolls are neither traditional nor authentic. If I had gone there myself and ordered what I normally do at sushi bars — classic traditional sushi with flavors that aren’t masked by sauces and cream cheeses… I probably would’ve walked away feeling indifferent about this place. They’re mostly fusion, with lots of sauce and toppings. Each piece is also huge, which probably appeals to the clientele in the area. I’ve always preferred skinnier but longer sushi rolls with pieces that are actually bite-size, but hey! Bigger rolls = more bang for your buck? It’s just a challenge trying to keep pieces from falling apart, then trying to eat each piece without looking like a hippo-bear. AAAAaaaaa *chomp* They don’t serve classic dishes like agedashi tofu and croquette, and the server didn’t even know what agedashi tofu was.(Not really their fault since it’s not on the menu.) You will also need to specify if you’d like water in addition to your ocha(or whatever drink you ordered). Some of the high chairs are a bit wobbly.(Seen that a lot at small restaurants and my daughter turned it into a game, which bought me some time to eat in peace… so it didn’t bother me.) The House Special & Beauty Roll are SOGOOD that it earns Sushi Area 909 a solid 4* on taste and portions alone. I will be back again… and again. and again. UPDATE2÷23÷15: Also, on one of my recent visits there, they made my 22 month old a complimentary PANDA/BEAR made out of an orange. and a carrot butterfly! How cool is that? It required the use of tooth picks which they pointed out to us as soo as they brought the plate because of. well, dangerous. And inside the bear’s bottom where perfectly chopped bite-sized rectangular pieces of orange. She had such a blast!

My daughter(10 years old) loves Sushi so I promised her we would have a mother-daughter date with Sushi on the menu. I Unilocaled Sushi and found this little place a block away. There’s so many Sushi places in this area, but what caught my attention was that they had Happy Hour from 3−6pm. Got there at 3:30 with an appetite and we wanted to order everything on the menu. We had the rainbow roll, cruch roll, and lasagna roll along with an order of their tempura mix and everything, I mean everything we ordered was delicious! Every single roll had fresh ingredients with tasty sauces that just melt your mouth. We both agreed, we were in Sushi Heaven! Definitely a repeat restaurant!

This is our go to place for sushi in the inland Empire. This place has been around for a couple of years now before all these new sushi places started to pop up. I have tried them all but still prefer this place. The place is pretty small and nothing fancy but the food is great, portions are big and the service is good. If you sit at the bar, Terry, one of the main chefs will take good care of you. He’s talkative and has a good sense of humor and will make sure that you’re taking care of. Their prices are average but in my opinion the food quality is great for the price range. They also have house special sake drinks with different flavors that they infuse themselves. They have a bunch of flatscreen TVs for sports as well. After trying a lot of sushi places in LA and Orange County this one is up there has one of the best.
