Yamaha of Rancho Cucamonga

I found some factory defects on my 2016 Yamaha R3 which I purchased through a different dealership, chaparral. Cracked fairing and defective Swingarm.
Yamaha manufacturing warranty is very solid and are honoring all of my claims. This dealership, Yamaha of Rancho Cucamonga is a pleasure to deal with. The service department here is able and willing to call the shots. Everything was simple and fast. Within 10 minutes of seeing my bike, they gave the OK and ordered parts for me under warranty. Zero hassle and no need to wait for a lengthy claim or Yamaha approval. The service here IS Yamaha!

They aren’t there to help you. Over priced parts, don’t know what they’re talking about, and they sound like you’re inconviencing them when you call. They tried to tell me a new stator for a 2002 R6 would be $ 600. Bought a genuine Yamaha stator online for $ 178. Screw this place.

I was looking for a dual sport motorcycle and finally settled on a Yamaha XT250. I looked for a a used XT250, but the prices were pretty high on used bikes. Then I called a few dealers, and my conversations were pretty standard dealer conversations. Standard dealer speak like «How much do you want to spend?» «Let me see what I can do, and I will call you back.» Long story short, the process was frustrating and the prices were pretty high. Then I called Yamaha of Cucamonga, and I spoke with Roy. Roy said we have a leftover 2015, and I will give you my best price. He immediately ran some numbers and gave me a very fair OTD price on a brand new 2015 XT250. So I drove out to Rancho Cucamonga and arrived at their cool old school dealership, which definitely has some two wheeled history. Everyone was really nice, and I signed couple of pieces of paper and I was done. I asked if they would deliver the bike, and they once again accommodated me. I want to thank Roy and the rest of the folks at the dealership for being so nice.

I gave Clint a call this morning at 9 right when they opened «I needed the 600 mile break in service on my R6». He told me to bring it on by. I dropped it around. 10:15 I got a call at. 3:00 that it was done.
Everyone was friendly and professional. No gimmicks or up selling. They even honored my 50 $ off 200 $ coupon from Yamaha, which was nice.
Bike runs TITS. I mean it, I can genuinely feel a difference. Will gladly return for future services.

I drive past this place all the time on my way to work… so I told my friend that I would stop by to place an order for his 2014 Yamaha r 1 k&n air filter for his bike. I called Monday and a representative by the name of Shane assisted me. He was very knowledgeable about everything they had in stock and he clarified the difference between the 2 air filters for me. I stopped and placed the order on my lunch break… and as soon as my shipment came in he had left me a message that it was available. I really appreciate his time and patience and Most of all his wonderful customer service. I wished I had more time to take a look at a few bikes… I am looking into getting a bigger bike considering I’m ready to jump on a 1000 instead of another 600. Shane gave me some awesome features on the 2014 – 2016 to really look into when I have time. Overall, they are very helpful and kind =) I will be shopping here very soon. Again, thanks Shane for your help!

Literally the best service you can ask for. I’ve been going to these guys since I got my bike a year ago and they’re always super helpful. I buy all my parts from them, and I’ve never had a bad experience.
The guys the store are always very friendly and glad to help you find your part.
And the guys in the shop are cool and quick at getting your bike back in the road!
Seriously. If you’re looking for a place to trust, look no further.

I have had nothing short of a stellar experience from the guys at Yamaha, literally the handful of times I have been here and since we have moved to the IE and that’s a few more than my wife would like to approve of!
I just had to have a little help with Clint, one of the coolest dudes ever, help me with the removal of the bracket on my new handlebars. While he was taking care of that I was helped inside for some new parts and accessories, which I’ll be ordering later.

I’ve been going to Yamaha Cucamonga for over 30 years. Always great service. Recently I was there buying supercross tickets, which I have been doing for years. I was there when the young lady was there and was told that the tickets posted was a honest mistake and they were not available in that section. They offered what they had and tried to explain the situation. Instead of listening to reason, she acted like a spoiled little kid and left saying vulgar remarks. Instead of letting her rant ruin my day, I bought my tics and went to the races. I felt bad for the boy’s at the shop.

Always helpful. I go here all the time and if you have a problem they won’t force a sale. Gave me a tube to bleed my brakes and told me how I could do it a different way to resolve the problem. Said you can easily do it yourself and save some money. Love these guys thx Shane!

I’m usually not one too take time to bash a company on Unilocal at all especially because I work in customer service myself and know how damaging it is but if I could give them zero stars I would. My friend went in today after talking to a guy on the phone yesterday saying they were selling supercross tickets in section 400 for 40 $ while online it said 45 $ for section 400 so we were confused but okay cool. So she goes in to buy them today and they say that they don’t know who put those prices online because they don’t even have those sections and that the prices are incorrect. They end up selling her section 500 (the top section for 50 $ per ticket that’s even more then they had listed for the lower sections. I call it a rip off they call it «they don’t know who posted that online» how about the person we talked too on the phone yesterday? Obviously their is no communication going on between employers. Especially because these prices have been online for atleast 2 weeks (that’s when I first saw them). After she had went in I personally gave them a phone call only to hear the guy on the phone beat around the bush with answers that still made no sense. My opinion is give me the price it says online especially cause the price online says 35 $ for 500 section when you just charged us 50 $ for the 500 section. I work in customer service that’s the only business I have ever worked in and the way these people handled it is like they try to make it like your in the wrong when they are completely in the wrong! And the best part about it is after I talked to the guy on the phone they re posted different prices online along with statements that they aren’t responsible and they don’t make not even a dollar selling these tickets and that they don’t set the pricing. They obviously have control of setting the pricing on their website if they were able to change it all that fast after we spoke. I don’t believe in the saying «a customer is always right» I think that’s way far off but in a situation like this where it clearly stated it I feel like I’m pretty right. It’s one job it’s not hard get it together people.

Was shopping for a bike for my stepson and after calling all the OC and LA county dealerships, we finally got the best OTD price from Roy. He’s gotta be the best sales person I have ever dealt. I was in and out in no time. Will definitely buy from them again.

Dropped off my ’15 250f …While changing my oil a random washer came out of the motor… I had no idea where it came from. YORC diagnosed it, found where the washer came from (came from impeller shaft). They checked out the rest of the motor to make sure nothing else was wrong. They Got the parts, fixed the bike and got it back to me in time for the weekend just like I asked! I dealt with both Clint and Chris! They both did a great job! Thanks guys! I’ll be back!

I read these reviews and wander are we talking about the same place? They do the least amount of work possible and they seem to blame the customer if you see something wrong. The manager at least I think he was has a mouth worse then a trucker. Really you’re going to drop the F bomb when someone asks a question? Customer service sucks. To bad you might have gained another customer but after this first experience no way. I would only have one word to people looking for a new place to have work done on their bike RUN!

The following week I took my bike to Yamaha Cucamonga. HOLD ON! HOLD ON! Now I know most of you will say why take it there and no where else? Well I actually did. I was going to send it to chapparall motorsports, along with moto in OC, however they would not take it due to it being a carburetor and it being a old bike they wouldn’t take it. So I took it there. I should have known from when I pulled in, it was bad news. For one the customer service was a joke. I understand you close in 20 min so you guys want to go home, but to not acknowledge someone and a sales rep from the inside had to come out to where I was at and assist me Ridiculous.
So I gave them the benefit of the doubt like I said it was the weekend 20 min til closing so eh. Well I tell him what I wanted (diagnostics 90.00) in which he replied no problem ill check it out and well go from there and ill contact you to let you know what needs to be done. a week goes by I don’t here anything. I figure hmm there busy… I then realize as my wife is doing laundry she found a set a keys… hmmm… what keys do they happen to be? The keys to the BIKE! So I go this ought to be interesting… lets call them up and see how things are going. So that wed I call them during my lunch. Their associate picks up and with excitement I ask about my bike. He didn’t know which bike I was talking about until I described it. So he puts me on hold to find the status. «ohh were checking it out going to see if it will start and go from there» Ohh in my head im thinking (so these guys must have the keys for hopes and dreams over there) so I ask well «do you guys need my keys in order to do that?» guy pauses and then says «hold on» and places me on hold.
He then comes on the phone and responds «yeah we are going to need those if you can bring it in soon we can get started».) From there I knew it was not going to get touched. so I should go ahead and prepare myself to pick it up and change plans. 4 weeks later now, I didn’t hear anything. Not a phone call, a text, a email, NOTHING! I don’t get worried in fact, I just drive on over and surprise visit them in which im greeted by the mechanic Clint. Pretty much same place he was in when I left my bike a month ago. basically he told me everything I explained to him in which needed to be done when I dropped it off. Saying it deffinately needs new carbs, probably flush the fuel lines, I don’t know if its worth fixing. So I said ok well what are we looking at to fix it and bring it from the grave.
This guy literally was coming up with every excuse not to take the bike and work on it, from it would take months to do. To wiring harness to there being other bikes that needed work so it would be a while to start on. So I then said well how about this. Ill purchase rebuilt motor, along with wiring harness, and just give me the cost for a install and we should be golden. STILL!!! He did not want to do it. Stating I be better off doing that myself on my weekend availability then have it sit there for months not being worked on. From there I was just shocked. I never heard of such shop to turn down such a job that could turn into a money tree due to labor alone since he had to tell me from the jump labor rates were 90.00 an hr as if it was a big deal to me.
So I loaded the bike and went on my way. Just pissed off. So it was time to eat… Rubios!

I gave 2 stars because they have good prices and it’s close to home. But that’s it.
This past weekend has been a total nightmare for me. I dropped my bike doing a wheelie and bent one of the forks, which started leaking oil. I removed both forks to have them looked at. My bike is modified so of course I went in with specific instructions because I wanted different oil and adjustments than the stock forks. I talked to Clint. the head of the service department. I told him to WRITE DOWN 3 turns of adjustment and 10wt oil because last time I brought them in, someone else got a hold of them and didn’t listen to what I asked for. So I’m told everything’s cool, they got it. and not to worry it will get taken care of.
We ordered one tube because I know it’s bent but they say they would open up the forks the very next morning to see what else needs replacement so we can order parts asap if needed. I call the next morning, and they hadn’t gotten to it yet. Ok. I call the next day and they tell me they’re currently working on the forks. they’ll call with an update later. Hours go by and no call back, and they’re closed for the next two days. Next business day comes and I call for an update but a different employee tells me «the tube just came in today and we’re about to open the forks…». Wait. what? I was told they were already being taken apart 2 days ago. which was a lie. So now I’m extremely irritated, not to mention without transportation for 4 days going on 5, and we don’t even know what’s wrong with my frikken fork?! I basically catch Clint in a lie over the phone and I’m thinking to myself WHYYY did I even bring my parts here?
After they open up the fork I bent, we find out I need to order a whole new fork so they place the order and I have to wait ANOTHER day for it to come in. (Had they actually opened it the first day we could have ordered the fork then) On the next day, they have the new fork and replaced the oil in the other fork and I go to pick up my Shiz. Finally. I pay, grab my parts and go home. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!!! I get home and check the adjustment (which I told Clint the day I dropped it off, 3 turns of adjustment) and there’s only a half turn. Sigh. I had to take it back. When I walked in, I had to explain the WHOLE ordeal to yet another employee while Clint sat in the back corner listening to our conversation. then I hear him yell across the shop in my direction «It’s a brand new fork!» which really pissed me off because he wouldn’t come talk to me about it. Bottom line is he had to open it to switch the springs over and put different oil and he Still didn’t make the adjustments that I personally told him to WRITE DOWN.
They take my fork back and redo it while I wait. Chris brings it out to me corrected, and tells me there were issues with the shims from the last time I had them serviced. I told him, the last time I had them serviced, I brought them HERE to drop in different springs and oil. He just looked at me in disbelief. I shook my head and told him thanks for fixing my fork.
I will never return to this Yamaha and I will never recommend them to anyone I know with a Yamaha.

It’s nice to patronize a small family owned business with just one iconic brand under one roof, Yamaha. I’ve owned my 09 Yamaha FJR 1300 five years and I have had some very good experiences here at Yamaha of Rancho Cucamonga. The sales team stocks a decent amount of bikes for all types of terrain, no push type sale tactics, straight forward with rock bottom units priced accordingly. Window shopping for goodies or price comparison, don’t let the size of this building mislead, it’s relatively stocked to the ceiling with accessories, clothes, helmets, gloves, eye wear, replacement parts, lubes, oils, filters, tires. The service bay can accommodate quite a bit of motorcycles all at once and employ master mechanics who are honest and effective with labor estimates and problem solving mechanical issues. I made arrangements to have my battery replaced late on a Friday, arrived 90 minutes before closing time and they quickly took my motorcycle in and were prepared to do the task. A small job like that is dedicated service and I rode away in a matter of 30 minutes with a smile. Small business like this thrive on repeat customers who know you by your first name :)

I’ve been to this location a few times for service and I have not been disappointed. It’s a small location so don’t have the feel of a revolving door of people. Shop is open and you can see what they are doing which is nice. Also a Starbucks is next door do nice to relax and wait for bike to be fixed.

This place is a little motorcycle shop that has a wide selection of parts and accessories. Was here for a battery replacement and to find out they had the cheapest price in town. Not a gigantic as the other shop in Covina CA, but you gets the point across if you need something for your motorcycle.
