To all you people who bash on Goody’s with your negative harsh comments. to you I say BAH! You’re heart is colder than my freezer! I’ve been coming to Goody’s all my life– it’s our family tradition. Here’s many reasons why I will never stop going here– unless it shuts down for some reason and relocates… even then I will move continents if I have to! 1. Friendly staff 2. Reasonable pricing on all meals 3. Simple but clean ambiance 4.(For all you soccer freaks, the game is always on!) 5. Flexible eating– Came in at dinner time but you feel like breakfast? No prob!(Definitely get the pancakes!!!) 6. Bathrooms are always clean & smell wonderful. I recommend the grilled tilapia with steamed veggies & mashed potatoes! Best meal there I’ve ever had! Everything here is made with love.

Been here a couple of times now and time to review. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is really good. Depending on the time you come you may have a wait for a table or food. Downside — Sometimes it’s not cool enough inside.

I have taken my family here since 2004. The quality of food has been consistent. We usually go for lunches. As my kids have grown up they are still stoked to go to goodies. They do breakfast foods all day — that’s great for me. If your looking for good all around café food this is the place. If you like uppity places, don’t expect more here. The staff has been nice, never cranky that I’ve seen. My favorite meal is the gyro sandwich, to me it’s the best here! PS — parking was ample!

This place is fantastic! I have been going to Goodies Café for over a decade and I have never had a bad meal here. Of course, like at any other restaurant, some foods on the menu are better than others. For example, their burgers aren’t great, but their gyros are out-of-this world. The endless chips and dip is great and the tilapia meal is delicious as well. Inside is well kept up and has a nice diner feel to it. I have never had a bad experience with the staff, but they have never been overly courteous either. That’s no problem to me however. Overall I really like this place and would recommend it to everyone.

I went here for a quick breakfast and was surprised by the price. First, all the breakfast offerings appeared to have 3 eggs, so I asked the cashier if they had a smaller breakfast portion(like 2 eggs and toast). I was told«NO, THEYARESMALLEGGS». The cheapest breakfast appeared to be about $ 8(not including coffee). So, I considered ordering from their side menu– 1 egg at $ 1.50, hash browns at $ 4, but I settled for an egg sandwich. I asked the cashier what came with the egg sandwich and she said an egg between 2 slices of toast. When it arrived it was 2 eggs, lettuce, tomato, between slices of toast– with coffee my bill was about $ 8. I didn’t want the lettuce or the tomato(cashier never told me that they were part of the sandwich). They should offer some smaller portions and get cashiers that aren’t so rude. I won’t be returning to this restaurant.

Our company ordered over 25 burritos the day before to have our order done by 7:45AM. When we arrived our order was not ready and waited 30 minutes. Went we arrived to our job the order was all wrong most all the burritos had beans not mind you their menu does not indicate that the burritos come with beans. We ordered a few Machaca Burritos the menu shows Machaca and Egg burrito the burritos came with beans A LOT of beans. When also even noticed that the Chorizo and egg had beans in it. When we called to complain the owner was very rude and was very argumentative with about the burritos. So we went up to the store and show the owner what the burritos look like and to also show her that there was hair in the salsa. She had nothing to say she herself could not see the Machaca. All she did after was argue she was very unprofessional. She at one point told me «Well your Mexicana you should know beans come with burritos». Excuse me that’s when I had it her. We will never do business with that restaurant AGAIN

My heart goes out to these folks. How do we submit them for Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Revamp show? In addition to the staff or owner arguing with customers about food coming out late and when someone orders to go versus eating in their restaurant, they don’t season their food… and atmosphere is worse than a McDonald’s. They need music or something to break up the noise of silence and yelling in their kitchen which is also where the cashier is.

Where do I begin. First my total came to $ 9.37. When I seen two pennies on the register I took back my nickel. The cashier said no and grab the Nickel back right out of my hand and then gave me a dirty look. I ordered the taco salad. All of the TS I’ve had in the past came with rice and beans. Not this one. I paid $ 9 for a bag of lettuce and a couple of pieces of meat. I took advantage of the free chips and salsa. Beware, beware do not ask for a larger container for the salsa you will be charged accordingly. I asked the cook if I could get a small bowl for the salsa he looked at me like I asked for a kidney. The cashier gave me a dirty look and said that the owner she’s sitting right over there. So I walked over, and ask the owner. She told me to bring my taco salad over to the chips and salsa and put it on that way. This place charges you for every little extra. But as I am sitting here doing this review, she is a cross from me arguing over price with a vendor. Trying to get the price lowered. I am a vendor in the area and I would never do business with this restaurant. They are extremely rude and the customer service is atrocious. If you’re looking for this style of restaurant, I recommend to go to John’s in Palm Springs.

So let me tell you the secret to a place like Goody’s. You have to know what to order here. Just like you don’t go to a place like Fuddrucker’s(famous burger joint) and order vegetarian, you don’t go to Goody’s and order a burger. The burgers here stink. But the bacon is thick and crispy, the chicken fried steak and eggs is out of this world, the BLT is thick and filling, and the chef salad is big enough to keep two people alive for several days. Your best bet is to walk around the place, look down at people’s plates, and pick something that looks good. That’s what I did until I learned what to order. You must allow places to play to their strengths, especially when they are not clever enough to take their weaknesses off the menu. Just my two cents.

The food sucks!, I ordered a cheese burger that came so dry it was like trying to eat card board I saw the cook flattin down the burgers smashing all the juices out of them. Then it was 5:45 the 1 girl start putting the ice tea away, took the coffee dispenser away just rude they close at 6pm. I will not go back. It’s a waste of your time and money. Terrible at best.

We all ordered breakfast and everything was way over cooked. I had to send mine back, which is a very rare thing for me to do. The replacement meal was worse.

Best value in town for a quick, affordable meal. Food just as good as Sherman’s, but way less expensive. Clean and friendly service. Not the most beautiful place, but it’s just fine for a quick bite at a diner type place.

The people in this place have rude and unprofessional tendencies. I watched the cooks make food as I waited, and they cross contaminated their food with all kinds of things people could have allergies to. I’m deathly allergic to shrimp and if someone is cooking it, then slides it over and puts my burger Patty in the same spot with the shrimp juice it would be game over. Just watch them cook the food and you’ll see it for yourself. The cooks aren’t professional or CLEAN. That’s what disgusts me. The food isn’t bad, but they nickel and dime you for things like salsa. Really? if you want any for your Mexican food that probably requires salsa. You gotta fork up money for it. I’ve never seen this at a Mexican spot before. The chefs will grab stuff off the ground then go back to handling raw meat. I’ve seen them cook a burger and watch the blood leaking into the chicken that just finished cooking, then put into a burrito. Serious health hazard. My mouth dropped in disbelief. After what I’ve seen here I stay far far away!

I’ve been going to this Goodies for years and never had the crappy experience that I had yesterday. My only thought is it must be under new management or a new chef. I went there with my wife and son. They had a sign that said Pozole soup and my wife said«oh I like that, that’s what I want. My son saw a sign with something about a special Philly steak sandwich and ordered that I just wanted a chili burger with fries. There were not that many customers. We waited about 15 minutes and the server brought out my wife’s soup it was cold. Another 5 minutes the brought out the philly steak. I had to wait another 10 min for the chili burger. I couldn’t believe the amount of chili the chef put on. Have you ever spread mayonnaise on a sandwich? That’s how thin the chili was. Sucked.

If you want to know why this Goody’s is rated far below the others in the valley it’s simple, customer service… or the lack thereof. I eat at Goody’s 2 – 3 times per week in Palm Springs(Excellent 5 stars) great customer service and excellent perfectly prepared food every time. Today marks my second attempt at this establishment to enjoy breakfast and it was terrible, again. First, the eggs were burnt both times, but worse than that the cashier is unfriendly and will not accommodate the slightest change or substitution; like cottage cheese in place of potatoes and toast. Second, I was not allowed to take my coffee to go without considerable persistence and a discussion with the owner in the parking lot. She actually said this…“everyone who takes coffee out does it to give to someone else” really! When I insisted that I paid for coffee and should not be required to have my second cup in the booth when I must leave for work, she finally acquiesced, but handed me two plastic cups and insulted me with a condescending remark. I simply replied«this is not a good business model for success» and she shrugged it off and said«look how busy I am…» there were maybe six people in the restaurant. Exactly, I replied. Go to PS!

We were on our way to the Subway next door but passed Goody’s Café and decided to give it a try it since we want to support local restaurants. After dining at Goody’s Café, we’re still debating if we made the right choice. We ordered a chicken torta sandwich, which was stuffed with hot chicken. We love that they serve breakfast all day so we tried the corned beef hash & eggs. The corned beef tasted canned, but the hash browns deliciously crispy on the outside and hot, the 3-eggs over easy well cooked. There is no table service so we really appreciated the cheerful cashier bringing our food to our table. Hate to sound petty but Goody’s Café’s does not evoke a café ambiance. Starting with ordering at centralized area from a cashier(in front of open food prep area… fun to watch) with jam-packed menu boards, various papers with specials hanging at register station and signage near ground level(lunch combo specials). It’s visually cluttered. The office-like built-in overhead fixtures casts an eye-wince inducing over-lit dining area. Curiously, the look isn’t café, or diner or fast-food but an unusual hybrid. The entire dining area is very clean, which is really a good thing. The food was ok overall, nothing was bad but there wasn’t anything memorable either but… we only visited once and the menu is HUGE with 36 breakfast specials, sandwiches, burgers, various dinner entrees AND Mexican food(!). They offer complimentary chips and salsa on dine-in only meals. Bottom Line: Worth a second visit for breakfast specials served all day. They must be doing something right with(5) local restaurants. Cheap fix suggestion to owner: Maybe if just(1) of(4) office florescent tubes were removed, the dining area lighting wouldn’t be so blinding.

The burrito was pretty good! The chef was nice enough to surprise me with a gift in my burrito!!! :) A piece of Hair!!! :D Yayy! I can’t wait to go home and vomit the only meal I’ve had all day! I hope they didn’t charge me for the hair… After all. They put ham in my burrito when I asked for no ham. Yay!
