One of my favorite sushi spots. Always fresh, always done right. Get the roll combo it has spicy tuna, crunchy roll and California roll. It’s the way to go. It’s not high end but I’ve been to plenty of high end spots with very average sushi. I recommend this place for good and reasonably priced rolls.

I like ordering California and tempura rolls a lot and I’m giving them 5 stars because even though it’s just a small place, they make the sushi very fresh and deliciously. The owner is friendly too. This is my best go to sushi place whenever I’m looking for sushi.

Humble dining room but the service was welcoming and lady brought over a complimentary jello for our 2 year old. The sushi was delicious(had a rainbow and volcano roll)… tried this neat-o can of soda from Japan too!

Every time I find a good, reasonably priced sushi restaurant that I start to frequent, suddenly they jack up the price up by $ 2 bucks or so per roll, which can suddenly turn into a fifty dollar lunch. So I am constantly in search of a hole in the wall gem with good food and good prices. I would probably visit here occasionally if I lived/worked in the neighborhood and had a sushi craving on a broke day. But based on the ecstatic reviews on Unilocal I ventured from Palm Springs to Rancho to try this place. The spicy tuna roll was pretty good and the tempura roll was alright but the chicken teriyaki tasted kind of boiled and the regular tuna roll, always my go-to safe bet at a new sushi place had an excessive amount of rice and big hunks of avocado stuffed in it(which was totally different than described in the menu). I don’t particularly like avocado and my husband is mildly allergic to it, I’m getting tired of sushi places(not just this one) adding it to items that aren’t supposed to have it. Rather than send it back, we picked it out of a couple pieces, which is a little childish, but the atmosphere is pretty relaxed in there, more like a fast-food restaurant, so we weren’t over-concerned with etiquette. Overall, if your on a budget the spicy tuna/teriyaki lunch special is pretty a pretty decent deal, much better than grocery store or Trader Joes sushi, and the prices are a lot better than your sit-down places. But, as far as what I had, you’re getting what you pay for. Think craving Chinese food but only having the time and money for Panda Express.

for spicy tuna– this is a great spot. Not sure about the other rolls as I haven’t tried others. I always take sushi to go. Their fire roll is super good, and the spicy tuna itself is super good &SPICY! They make it WITHOUT the nasty mayo! The owner is a very sweet lady as well. The first time I ordered I called to ask if they had a menu– she texted it to me… they also have brown rice, which is a huge plus! as not many places in the desert do!

It was the worst! I’m never going back! the eel had bones and they replaced it with the cheapest role on the menu

Apparently these yahoos are already out of business. Been calling the past hour and no answer. Don’t bother, they’re closed.

For simple rolls and nigiri it’s a pretty good spot. It’s on my way home so I like to occasionally call in my order ten minutes before I arrive and pick it up. Perfect for when I don’t have a lot of time to prepare anything but still want to eat relatively light. The veggie roll is always a staple for my husband and I. It comes with cucumber, lettuce, avocado, and some sort of mushroom(I think) inside. It’s delicious, simple, and not too overly filling. Other favorites of mine are the salmon avocado roll, tuna avocado roll, tama go nigiri, ebi nigiri, and any nigiri with fish on it. I am very fond of how they prepare their sushi rice. The woman who takes the order has always been nice to me. When I’m on a sushi kick and show up more frequently, she’s given me free miso soup before.

Ok, I took a chance on this spot because of the Unilocal reviews. I had an appointment in that area and was hungry. I’d been wanting sushi all week & I was pleasantly surprised! It was fantastic!!! Fresh, good texture and generous portions. Inexpensive too and the combination plates offer variety. This place IS a To Go type restaurant as there is NO ambience or frills inside. But don’t let the appearance fool you, the sushi is great!

This small place, set in a shopping mall, always produces fanatastic sushi; quickly and with a smile. Perfect for take-away or catering. Picnic on the golf course? One of my favorites. Say hi to Ue!

Better call before you show up. Went this week and got there a full half hour before they close, only to open the door to a dark restaurant with workers ready to walk out and telling me they’re closed. Posted business hours are obviously meaningless here. Wonder if the owner knows about this?

Very expensive for what you get. I had tuna and it was brown! Old. Also Tempura for over $ 8.00 and got about 6 pieces of vegetables. It tasted good, but could have been double. Won’t return.

Pretty good place! I’m a sushi fanatic and a tough critic on sushi joints. The quality of fish is high, the taste is great! I’d definitely recommend trying this spot out!

If you want a local made to order and not sitting in the fridge sushi, this is the place! Their crispy rolls and caterpillar rolls are awesome! Nice bright and very clean place with the husband and wife vining and happy atmosphere! Thanks guys!

The customer service was great. The sushi? Not so much. Although the roll was a bit larger than normal, it was loosely rolled and I could barely pick it up with my chopsticks. The fish was warm which was odd but for the price it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I’ve had better. I appreciate the service but I really wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone who is picky about their sushi. And I’m not sure about other sushi places in the area(as I’m just visiting for a few days) but it seems expensive for the location and quality.

Adding avocado to my California roll cost $ 8.00. I got takeout, so I didn’t think about it enough until later. The next time I went, I asked how much it costs to add avocado to the California roll(which I think cost $ 4.50). She pointed to the caterpillar roll, which is $ 12.95. So I said, «So it costs $ 8.00 to add avocado?» The answer was yes. I couldn’t bring myself to pay $ 8.00 for avocado, so went without, and it wasn’t very good. Hard to say how much of the disappointing taste came from my irritation(I like plain California rolls too), but I’ll be looking into the other sushi places in the area.

If you’re expecting gourmet, innovative, unusual sushi — this is not the place for you. If you just want simple rolls and nigiri, fresh fish, and nice people, you’ve come to the right place. This is affordable sushi — perfect for my 3 teenagers. We love To Go Sushi! They just increased their prices, but since prices were very low to begin with, the increase just put them in line with other places. I wish they hadn’t dropped the Love Tray, but the salmon combo is good and they added yellowtail to the menu too. The dining room is not much to write home about — it is clean, plain, and small. We get our sushi to go because our family would fill the place! Easy, simple, affordable sushi = this is the only place in town that where I would call myself a «regular.»

Good, fresh sushi… I got the sushi & sashimi combo for $ 15.99… It was a lot of fish… Enough to split it with a friend… :-) Fresh & yummy! This is a small mom & pop sushi shop… there are about 5 tables… but 2 of the tables are taller & the chairs are too high for those tables… thus rendering them unusable… Just remember not to come on Sunday as they aren’t open…

Decent place. The fish wasn’t anything spectacular but you do get a great amount for your money! The no frills atmosphere was a nice touch and very welcoming. For a quick bit of sushi I would hit this place up.

Pretty solid value for the sushi with the unexpectedly reasonable prices out here in the desert when most every other restaurant charges a premium. A takeout order here entailed the deluxe sashimi($ 20) and Washington roll($ 11) which was essentially a rainbow roll with only salmon on top rather than an assortment. Pros included respectable sushi rice and fresh imitation crab and avocado. Unfortunately, the fish quality was mediocre at best. The sake and hamachi were both fine, but the maguro was very much subpar. You’ll also notice that they don’t offer any kinds of fish beyond the basic core selection… would be my guess as to how they manage to keep their prices affordable. The party trays look to be a decent deal if you’ve got a group and want to quell a sushi craving. However, every single one except the sashimi tray includes at least one«filler» roll. A passable family-run sushi joint if you’re dying for sushi in some way, shape or form. Otherwise, I probably won’t be back anytime soon.
