BJ Nails Spa

I would never suggest this place. I walked in for a fill-​in and pedicure and the guy stayed and I quote «we can’t take you because we are too busy». Not a problem EVER.
By the way they weren’t crowded and many stations and chairs were open.

Always take care of my mom, sisters & i! Been coming here for a long time & wouldnt go any where else!

I wrote my first review while I was sitting in the chair still waiting for my family’s nails to be finished. I have a disability that mad it so I could not feel my feet so I did not know that they had done a really deep cut in my toe cuticle and that she rubbed my feet so hard that she cut up the entire bottom of my foot. I had to go get antibiotics because I have a spinal cord stimulator and that could cause a deadly infection in me.
My family convinced me to give them another try. We told them about what happened and they didn’t do anything. The polish they used must have been old because it not only didn’t last the guaranteed amount of time but also it ruined the strength of my nails. It wasn’t just me, my moms nails did the same thing and began to have layers of our actual nails peel off!!! It has been months since I stopped going and my nails have not recovered.
Also, I don’t believe the majority of the people in there know how to do nails well. The owner and one of the ladies do a really good job, but the others make your nails look like you had your friends over and did nails (uneven, on skin, missing in places etc). Also one of the young guys cut my toenails so badly that it my nails started to grow through my skin causing infections and pain on almost every toe. I refused to let them touch my toes the next few times my family wanted to go there (I had been trying to get them to switch places but my grandma doesn’t like change so I eventually stopped going) I refused to let them touch my toes. I had been planning in going to the doctor but my mom convinced me to let the owner look and tell us what he thought since he actually knew what he was doing. He ended up fixing it the best he could but he had to cut my skin and toenails down as far as possible and my toenails are still not the same.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Terrible, rushed, and highly disappointing service!
I wanted to treat my Mom to lunch, manicures, and pedicures, a mother and daughter day out! When we arrived, it took quite a while for anyone to acknowledge us.
When we were finally acknowledged, they asked us to pick out our nail colors and proceeded to show us to our chairs for our pedicures. I was finished in no time, maybe 15 minutes tops, it was the quickest pedicure ever and a completely rushed experience. During our 15 minute pedicure experience, my Mom requested that the lady providing her with the service scrub her feet again because she hadn’t scrubbed her heels. My Mom’s request didn’t go over too well with the lady. The lady helping my Mom got up and began attending to another man who had just entered the spa. My Mom, tired of waiting, began to scrub her own heels since her request appeared to displease the lady. We finally were given our second coat of nail polish and were asked to move from our spa chairs. A man working at the spa then handed me the bill for my mother and I’s pedicures. I told him that we had asked for manicures in addition to our pedicures. His response, «We have had several phone call reservations and cannot do your manicures. We have a lot of people coming in soon who have called ahead.»
I left, disappointed and confused. It put a damper on my special day with my Mom. Completely disappointed as I’ve never been rushed out of a spa and told that the service that was to be provided would not be offered as I had initially requested.
If you want to feel rushed and provided with below average service, this is the place for you!

Great for a quick and inexpensive mani and pedi!
It was NYE, and my coworker and I were looking for a close and inexpensive nail shop that could accommodate us that same day. This place fit the bill and we were able to schedule an appointment right after work.
The shop itself is clean, simple, and small. The nail polish selection was mediocre, but not enough to deter me. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. My mani and pedi took about 40 minutes. Keep in mind, this isn’t a foo foo frilly nail salon. You will not get a luxury experience. What you will get is a decent mani and pedi for a great price.
I definitely recommend this nail salon if you are looking for a quick and simple mani and pedi.

This is the worst place I’ve ever been to. They cut my hands twice one finger was bleeding continuously. The nail paint gel was poorly applied. I went to the manager who didn’t speak English and he just rattled his tongue saying nonsense. They are rude and the only reason why I went to this place. Was because it was used to called Rose nails and I loved going to this place I used to fly in from Arizona to get my nails done at Rose nails. Under new ownership as of last year. This is the worst place to go to I will never go there again. Beware!!!

I can here for gel nail polish because I was quoted $ 15 over the phone. I asked for a painted design on my thumb (was a simple design) and my price for raised to 25 $ FOR ONE NAIL. won’t be coming back

Came here to her my eyebrows done.
Usually, I get them done at Carson mall, but this is closer to my house so I decided to give them a try.
Half assed and mediocre.
The lady literally only put wax on my eyebrows, waxed them, and that’s it. She didn’t go in with the mini scissors to cut length, the she didn’t pluck any she missed with the wax, and she didn’t try to brush them to see if they were symmetrical.
My eyebrows already have their natural shape and she completely gave them another shape and now im kind of pissed. NO TIP FOR YOU!
Don’t come here.

Best nail spa I’ve been to in quite some time! Very serene atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent nail services. I loved how my nails came out.

Quick service, fair prices, plenty of parking. Works for me! I came in without an appointment and they had my nails started within ten minutes. Sweet!
And I saw a sign for $ 25 spa mani/​pedi special on Mon-​Wed. Definitely coming back next time I have a day off of work!

I have been searching and searching for an everyday nail spa in my area that gives great service. Since I stopped going to Nancy Nails because of their over the top rudeness and really wasn’t excited about a few other places around here like Rose Nails, not excited, I did a search on Unilocal to see if there were some new places. Why not Rose Nails? Review TK.
But the name of BJ Nails Spa came up in my search and I was surprised there was a place near to me that had so many stars so I couldn’t wait to go, though I went with apprehension.
Well BJ’s is so awesome, I think they are my favorite everyday spa ever anywhere. If the service declines, I will let you know. Sadly, I don’t trust it since I see so much disparity of service in these spas but I truly loved my experience here both times I went. The service was fantastic, all the staff was friendly and very kind and attentive. Their work was good. I want to patronize them. I want them to do well in this first year of theirs and for years to come. Thank you BJ.

Okay — I may have found my new nail spot. They are open on Sundays until 5 and took my mom and I for a few services at 4:30 and didn’t rush us.
Brian did my gel take off (I’ll still do my own gel for a little while) and pedicure. Lee seems to be the leader of the pack and he doesn’t smile much but he did a great job on my mom’s fill. Annie did a nice French manicure on her toes.

Said it before and I’ll say it again — one of the best nail salons in the PV area. Lee and his wife are the sweetest! Great color selection and designs. Tues & Wed special is awesome — $ 25 for mani! Highly recommend.

I went here bc it was highly rated on Unilocal.Everyone is very nice and friendly. Prices are decent. But, it’s def not clean and I didn’t really notice any sterilization of tools. I’m huge on that! The icing on the cake were the many warts that one of the manicurist had on her hands and fingers. :(She didn’t wear gloves, and that was cherry on top for me– I was out of there! Warts are very contagious and she/​they should not be exposing paying customers to them. Not acceptable.

I just got a «compliment» from a Loi B., who appears to be the owner/​mgr of this place asking me to delete my comment bc I reviewed the wrong place. First off, no sir, I do not have the wrong place. RPV is my hometown and I visit home often so I know exactly what I’m talking about. Pls do not insult my intelligence or state of mind. Your place was not clean. There were nail pieces all over the floor and rugs, and your bathroom was very soiled. Yes, you use liners in your pedicure tub, but that’s about it as far as sanitary conditions. Also, your technicians DO NOT use gloves as you so mentioned. Both times that I went, no one used gloves on me for both hands and feet. How do you think I noticed the warts on your employee? I don’t mean to point that person out, but that is a health concern/​issue that you need to rectify ASAP. Warts are very contagious.
I also believe that the owner, Loi B, and his employees are writing 5 star reviews for themselves… very deceiving.

I come here to do my nails and it always turns out great. I chose to do matte black with shiny french tips.

Really happy to have found a place like this near my new house!!! Lee was amazing and he is very genuine and interested in making your experience the best possible. My gel mani is perfect and the price was average. I will definitely be going back and bringing my mom for a pedi. SUPER CLEAN!!! Which is really important to me :) they unwrap new packages of tools too.

I’ve come to this nail salon twice. It’s basically like all the other nails salons run by the Vietnamese. Constant chatting with each other in their language. The first time I came, I wasn’t that impressed with my gel manicure but grateful they did my nails at the last minute. The second time I came because I had a coupon. The guy who did my nails didn’t speak 1 word to me. I don’t think the workers here are the friendliest. My nails weren’t great either. My GEL nails are already showing signs of wear after a couple days. There is also a couple of bubbles and I just think the finish could’ve been better. I am still on the hunt for a go-​to nail salon because I haven’t found one yet.

Friendly staff. A good amount of colors (including Essie & OPI)
I got the most basic pedicure which was $ 17. It includes your basic cuticle cleaning, nail shaping, foot scrub, along with a hot towel wrap, and hot lotion rubbed into your legs/​feet.
The lady who did my pedicure did a good job. I don’t think she knew I was Vietnamese which was a first! But they don’t talk behind your back or anything ;)
Ps. There’s male manicurists here! Pretty rare to see haha
