This review isn’t actually for MHL Security, it’s for the Auto Toys section of the store. (MHL used to be both the stereo and the security/​alarm store together a few years ago, now Auto Toys is the car audio part).
Anyways, I’ve been coming to MHL/​Auto Toys for a few years now for my gear and installs. They always have had an extremely great selection of car audio gear (Eclipse, JL Audio, /​/​/​Alpine, Kenwood to name a few) at respectable prices. The staff is what puts this place above and beyond other places. Dave (he’s the taller older dude with frizzy brown hair, glasses) knows his SHIT! He is a car audio guru and he could pretty much answer any question you would ever have. He’s helped me with most of my install ideas and with purchasing equipment. He is usually the person I deal with at this place, and would recommend you talk to him first. However, if for some reason he is not there I would say you should talk to the younger kid named Jay (who I actually grew up with in the Whitman/​Hanson area) who also works the floor. He will also help you find the stuff you need at a decent price. One thing to mention is that AT usually has stuff on clearance that they are trying to get rid of so there’s always deals to be had. Just ask around!
One part of the shop that I can’t directly comment on is the install bay, as I have only dealt with the sales and selection here as I install all my own stuff myself. They DID build me a custom ported box and it turned out awesome so I can tell you they are great at what they do, especially judging from the high quality installs they have done for even the Patriots and other famous/​rich people. So in closing, I would definitely recommend Auto Toys /​MHL as one of the best car audio shops on the South Shore. If you want top of the line car audio, quality installs and decent prices, don’t bother going to places like Best Buy or the other guys that won’t give you the service and knowledge that this place gives. Whether looking for a simple radio installation, subwoofer enclosures, or an elaborate custom audio/​video system for your car you will be able to be taken care of here. Try it out! You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be ready to BUMP in no time! :)
