BE AWARE: RACIST EMPLOYEE
The old breakfast lady named Janet has issues. She goes around and yells at customers in the breakfast room, touches people and move their body parts if she doesn’t like the way they are sitting. She lies about manager’s permissions that she supposedly received to act like that. And she’s incredibly racist and inappropriate. Never experienced anything like this from any form of customer service at any business. Hotel agreed to issue me a full refund for the stay because of the incident, which never happened. Steer away from this place.

I went to this comfort suites to rest before my day at mt Rushmore and sight seeing. My whole experience there felt ruined by one employee named Janet working at the breakfast buffet that morning. As soon as my boyfriend and I stepped in to the waffle station she greeted us with unnecessary and excessive rudeness. We asked each other,” where’s the non-​stick spray she interrupted in a very rude tone saying,” there’s already oil in it.” She proceeded to say,” ugh, let me do it,” and took the cup of batter and utensil out of my boyfriend’s hands and started making it. We have travelled and booked here many times and experienced a waffle iron before, grabbing and rudeness was not necessary. So he begins to pour a second cup of batter to make one for me and she starts yelling,” enough! That is ENOUGH!” After we sit down she keeps circling our table and from the kitchen doors behind us watching, uncomfortably ‘keeping an eye on us’. Later she comes by and has the AUDACITY to smack my leg and say,” don’t do that!” I turn to her and say,” you can’t tell me how to move my body.” I think she found my way of sitting inappropriate and took matters in to her own hands. When I asked for her name she said her supervisor gave her permission to stop anyone abusing the seats. I was sitting with one foot on the ground and one crossed slightly touching the seat. I don’t know if her issue was racially motivated or she felt personally wronged the moment we stepped in the door, but she was extremely rude, made unacceptable physical contact with both of us and left me feeling very bitter towards the whole situation. I still can’t believe any of this happened. Simply ridiculous.

Stayed here ¹⁰⁄₁₇ to ¹⁰⁄₂₁. Second stay at a Choice property and it was another good one. Very clean, very modern, very spacious rooms. Don’t know how old this property is but it looks brand new. Indoor pool great for kids. Free breakfast includes eggs and waffles among other selections. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

Hotel is really nice and clean. I would have given 5 stars but I came down to the pool and asked the young female employee who was locking up the pool if I could take a look inside and she said, WHY?! Really? I am asking you because I am interested in taking a dip when you’re open in the morning! I told her to lighten up and have a nice day. She just gave me dirty looks and walked away, people like her just need a hug sometimes. Anyways, I came all the way from California! I don’t appreciate rude employees giving me dirty looks!

Very comfortable and spacious. Clean. Complimentary breakfast is the largest I’ve ever seen. Varies from day to day. Staff are all pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again if ever in Rapid City again.

We had a great stay here, from the minute we checked in until we left the people at the front desk were very friendly. Our room was very nice sized, clean and modern. Breakfast was good every morning. The waffles and donuts were a hit for the kids. Our room was very quite, we stayed 3 nights and never did hear noise outside the room. I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent place to stay! New, Quiet, spacious room and clean. Staff very friendly :) Family of five loved it. We stayed 3 nights in October so not crowded at all. Highly recommended!!!

Fairly new motel on East edge of Rapid City, at intersection of I-​90 & Hwy 16. Easy on/​off. Restaurants nearby.
This is cushy living – very clean, spacious rooms, very comfy beds! No other motel on our trip could match this one. The staff was very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was complete & I especially liked the smoked sausage slices to compliment the eggs. This large motel was completely full, so at breakfast, I thought getting to use the waffle machine would be impossible. But they had 2 machines! Great! The breakfast attendant was friendly and attentive to our needs.

New building which was super clean and quiet. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Convenient location which was easily accessible for out rental truck. Great steak restaurant next door is a must stop for dinner and the Free hot breakfast and wifi was a big plus. We’ll definitely return to this hotel when passing through Rapid City on our next trip.

GREAT!!! We had the best experience! We got in late the manager got us all water, the room was big and very comfortable! The price was outstanding! To top it off we had to leave before the breakfast room opened and they had To Go Sacks ready for anyone leaving early! Fruit, drink, granola bar etc… This was by far the best short stay experience we have had!!! Thank you night manager your amazing! 4÷14÷14 Definitely coming back!!!

Always stay here if I can. Worth the money and the convenience of a great new steak place next door.

Overpriced! And they think a somewhat larger than normal room is a suite, hah! Their cable lineup excludes NBC — what the hey? Look elsewhere, they are a ripoff!
