I wanted to go into a profession where I could help others. One of my greatest satisfactions is when patients are happy with how well they see with their new eyewear or contacts, or how well their eyes feel after being treated. I also enjoy picking out frames for our patients.

I am from South Dakota, graduating from the University of South Dakota, and then from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Between the two I taught middle school science and math. I gained ten years of experience working at a clinic with several ophthalmologists. I have more respect for business owners after starting Eye Works, Inc., in 2002. After hours I enjoy trying to keep up with my kids (including my five pugs), biking, and art.
