Shannon has been a resident of the Black Hills since 1991. He has worked as a contractor, finish carpenter, he is a jack of all trades. In 2011 he started Thomas & Sons with a small crew and one truck. Due to his friendly, helpful personality he quickly established a amazing customer base.

We are shocked at how well everything went. They arrived on time moved boxes quickly and we’re working hard the entire time. We would most certainly recommend these guys. They packed the truck exceptionally well and saved us money by using less space.

A bit of a late update since this happened almost a month ago, but I wanted to make sure I leave a review because I cannot say enough good things about this company!
A bit of backstory: My boyfriend, our three snakes, two cats, and hedgehog were moving across the country from Washington (state) to Michigan. We had rented a trailer to attach to our car but the trailer was overfull and was wearing on our suspension which was wearing on our tires.
We had to have the two back tires replaced but while the trailer was attached no mechanic thought it was safe so we had to exchange the trailer for a Uhaul truck.
When the time came to move things from the trailer to the new truck, the boyfriend and I were EXHAUSTED.
We called Thomas and Sons movers, talked to Julie, but they didn’t have anyone available. Given our story, she said that if we couldn’t find anyone else to give her a call back and she’d see if she could help us out.
I called probably about 10 places and the best time I could get was three days from then — Apparently getting movers at the last minute is impossible.
I called Julie back, in tears (again) and she said that she would help me out and find anyone she could to help us out.
About an hour (maybe a half an hour?), Tyler and Jared showed up to help us out.
I have nothing but the BEST things to say about these two guys — They were SOOOOOO nice, understanding, compassionate, and they did an AMAZING job. They got everything moved about 10x faster than we ever could and when we got to our final destination in Michigan, NOTHING had moved an inch.
I can’t express how thankful I am to Julie, Tyler, Jared, and Thomas and Sons movers for helping us during an extremely difficult time. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone needing assistance with moving and if I lived in the area would gladly use them for ANY other services they provide. They were AMAZING.
