Hinds Community College – Raymond Campus

This college is the pits, the counsellors are quick to shrug you off like their notorious record of dropouts. When I try to learn in a class and am brushed off like dust on the shoulder, then I’m whisked away to a distant room full of computers to hop on the Internet and be punished when I get an incorrect answer one too many times making feel the urgency to break open the textbook and start drilling problems it offers, and this is for the majority of general classes. I feel my intelligence is being condescended and taken rather sarcastically, nor is appreciated in the slightest. Although there is the appearance of a warm collection of activities and amenities, it’s rather subpar and spread thin. The food is comfortable, but the classes are cold as are the teachers who seem as though they have been talking to themselves and the wall for quite a long time. For the price I paid inconveniently, I wish I had known how genuinely distasteful bad learning environments can be and thought considerably more about where I was going to school.

Run of the mill junior college. You need to be aware of what you kid is taking or you will be stuck there for ever. Advisors don’t advise they just rubber stamp schedules and let a student do what they like so they will be taking unnecessary classes adding to you bill. clean nice campus and rooms but they are not active imo to getting kids on the right path.
