History

Established in 1980.

The Honey Tree Nursery School was and is the only Honey Tree that was design for education and social development of the young child.

In 1979 I finished my college education and opened The Honey Tree Nursery School. In the spirit of Winnie the Pooh The classroom was design to give children a freedom of learning at a pace that was right for them. To nurture their sense of wonder and excitment, to understand the world around them. The classroom is their world, a place for them feel secure and to learn and not be pressured to preform. Every child is encourage to be engaged in the learning enviroment, with parents and staff working together children are ensured to have the best learning experiences. We strive to give the young child a postive, developmental education and hold high expectations for sucess. My door is always open for a visit come by and see for yourself.

Meet the Business Owner

Mary R.

Business Owner

My name is Mary better know to my students as Miss Mary, I have been in the business of children since the early 70;s. I finsihed my education in 1979 and opened The Honey Tree in 1980 at it’s present location in Raynham Ma. The school has had many new additions, first it was in the main part of the house and then with the birth of my first son the exsisting school was built. Over the years we had addtions of coat rooms, mural painting and playground equipment often provided by dedicated parents. I have a great repect for the learning potential of the young child, their wonderment provides engery to design a curriculum that will help them to learn.

I have three wonderful children of my own, 5 years apart that gave me great pleasure to encourage the love of learning on a personal level. I have spend over 30 years learning how to teach young children and they never cease to amaze me with their ablilites to challege the system and demand more.
